Chapter 10

(Alex and Johnny)

Alexandra's POV

"Who's Johnny?" Brandon asked .

"My friend." I shrugged.

"Let's go meet him then." He started walking towards the entrance.

"Brandon! He's my friend!"

"Okay let me meet him then."

"We have things to talk about privately."

"You're my fiancé I have the right to know."

"Don't pull the fiancé card."

"You know what? Fine go ahead I'll leave you two alone just don't come back pregnant."

"What ?! Brandon stop it." He stormed away. Did he just- did he just call me a slut? I walked to the entrance to see Johnny standing awkwardly there.

"Hey Johnny."

"Alex! " he hugged me tight.

"I missed you." I hugged him back.

"I missed you too." He kissed my cheek.

"So. You are a queen to be now?"

"Yeah." I said scratching the back of my neck.

"Good for you. Listen Alex I'm sorry about what happened before. It's just that I wasn't ready and-"

"So when I got engaged you suddenly are ready?"

"No it's not like that-"

"Listen Johnny really I'm engaged I can't have this conversation with you right now."

"Fine. I just wanted to see you. I'm going to leave. It seems like your fiancé is worried about what we'll talk." I turned around to see Brandon at the top of the stairs with a scowl on his face.

"I'm happy you came."

"I'm happy too. I'll see you around."

"You are staying here?"

"Yeah. I took a vacation and I want to spend it here. Although I wanted to be here on your engagement day. I heard so many stories about that day."

"Yeah it was full of action." We laughed and he hugged me before he left. I walked up the stairs but Brandon was gone.

"Can you stop." After Johnny left I stormed into Brandon's office.

"Stop What?"

"Brandon we don't love each other. We are only pretending . We won't get married either! Please I have a life already. You're ruining my relationship with my friends."

"A friend that is ready now to have a relationship with you?!" That shocked me. Was he listening to the whole conversation?

"Were you eavesdropping?" I was mad.

"It's my castle I do whatever I want!" He screamed at me.

"Oh no mister you do not raise your voice in my face!" I screamed back.

"CHILDREN! What is going on here!" Uncle Ace entered the office.

"Nothing." We both said .

"You are always arguing guys. How are you going to live together like this."

"We won't." Again we said that simultaneously.

"You won't?" Oops.

"What we meant is for the time being." And just after saying that I remembered we live under the same roof.

"Fuck." Brandon muttered.

"Okay it seems like you're not in your right mind. I'll leave you two alone. Just don't argue."

"Come on."Brandon held me by my elbow and we went to his room.

"My room is sound proof."

"So you are intending to continue arguing?"

"Alexa you are my fiancé. If somebody saw you hugging another male rumors would spread about your cheating."

"I.don't.care."

"Yes you have to."

"No."

"God why are you so stubborn!"

"Just leave me alone okay?" He came dangerously close to me and smiled. Not a nice and full smile but an evil one.

"You are mine. I do as I wish. The second you stop being my fiancé you can do whatever you want. Are we clear." He said in a calm but threatening voice. My heart was beating fast and I nodded. I couldn't say a word. It's like time has stopped with our locked eyes. I backed away and ran outside the room. I continued running until I was outside the castle's walls.

"Miss Alexandra!" I heard the guards yelling from behind me, but I didn't stop. He was a cruel person. I can't stand him anymore. I arrived at the village and the people started surrounding me.

"Miss are you okay?"

"Is there something wrong?"

"That's lady Alexandra!" I couldn't hear them anymore. I put a fake smile and excused myself. I didn't know where I was going but I'm not going back. At least not today.

"Alex!" I turned around to see Robert waving at me. I knew it was wrong but I ran to him and stopped in front of him.

"Please take me from here." I knew I would regret my decision but I wasn't in my right mind now.

"Come to my place if you want."

"Yes." I said without thinking. I got into his carriage and we started walking on a road I didn't see before.

"Mind telling me what happened ? I'm sure the prince is going nuts right now." Sure.

"No ."

"As you like."

"You can sleep here." I was in a guest room in Robert's Mansion. He was so kind giving me a place to stay away from him.

"Thank you so much really . It means a lot."

"It's okay. I'm sending a letter to the castle to tell them that you ar-"

"No. Please don't. If they knew I'm here my dad will come get me for sure and I'm not ready to go back today."

"Okay as you wish . Goodnight gorgeous." I blushed at the nickname.

"Goodnight." He smiled and left me alone. I took off my gown and hopped onto the bed.

Lea's POV

"WHERE IS SHE?" Ace was going crazy on Brandon. Apparently Ace knew that they were fighting and my son was the reason of Alex's disappearance.

"I don't know."

"What have you done son." Ace's voice broke my heart. My husband was afraid all those years that Brandon would become like him. And that scared me too. I knew they weren't in love but I thought they remembered their crush. I was wrong. I won't allow this fake engagement to go on.

"Lea speak with him I'm done." Ace left the room.

"Brandon."

"Mom please not you too."

"Listen to me baby. Your father and I have lived this episode before. We weren't happy too. But if you can't love her just end this engagement. Look where you are now."

"Mom I love Elena of course I can't love Alexa."

"Alexa?" I raised an eyebrow.

"I don't have time to chat. I'm going to find her before uncle Jake could kill me."

"Yeah Regina is having a hard time calming him and Harry down."

"I'm sorry mother."

"It's okay baby I understand how hurt you still are but please don't hurt the people around you, okay?"

"Okay." I kissed his cheek and gave him a warm hug. He then left to find our daughter in law. Hopefully.
