Alexandra's POV

Thankfully Codie's mother's illness wasn't fatal. It could be cured by some medicine. After we left her I resumed my walk in town. I'm happy I was able to help many people in need. It was really fun and I love them all. They were all friendly and kind to me.

"It's time for lunch let's go back to the castle." I told the guards and we went back .

"Alex! How was your day?" A very enthusiastic Lea welcomed me.

"Amazing. I'm looking forward for tomorrow."

"I'm glad. Brandon sent a letter he's coming back in 2 days no more." I felt nervous and happy.

"Great." I sounded happier than I should be. He's messing my mind.

"Here comes Jake. I'll leave you two he wants to talk with you."

"Hey dad." He kissed my forehead.

"Hey honey. I want to talk with you."

"Yes I'm listening ."

"Tomorrow you're going back to Graceland."

"What? Why? I have duties here." I was looking forward to see Brandon. I mean to go back to town. Yes that's what I meant.

"Honey your grandfather has requested your and Harry's presence immediately." He said with sad eyes.

"Is he okay?"

"Yes he should be fine don't worry."

"Is mom coming with us?"

"No." I nodded and left to pack my things.

I wanted to stay here. But my grandpa needed us. I shall see Brandon next week. I put some comfy dresses in my bag with my makeup. I looked at the mirror. I looked tired. My eyes caught something on the table. I pick it up it was a letter. I frowned. Whys wasn't I informed of this?

Alexa, wow so informal who writes a letter like this . I face palmed myself.

Alexa,

I'm coming back in 2 days. Everything is good here and the peace treaty is done. I want you yo be careful in town. Don't ruin my reputation.

Brandon.

I don't know if I should be happy he sent me a letter of be sad about the content of it. Ruin his reputation? Really. Well I want to see his face when he comes and don't see me. It was the perfect time grandpa. I sighed and went to take a shower. The hot water relaxed me after a tiring day. I left the bathroom and wore a white dress. I left my room since it was time for lunch.

"Goodbye." I waved at my parents. It was early in the morning and it was time for leaving.

"Harry I will sleep a bit." He nodded. He was so concentrated in a letter he was reading.

I closed my eyes but couldn't sleep. It's a bad feeling in me. I hope it's nothing but something was wrong. Why would my grandfather invite us without mom and dad. There wasn't anything serious at Emerland they could've come with us.

"Harry."

"Hmmm?"

"Don't you think there is something off?" He put the paper down and looked at me puzzled.

"Something like what?"

"Why grandpa didn't want mom and dad to go with us?"

"Calm down Alex you're always paranoid. He just wanted to talk with me and you that's all."

"I hope you're right."

I sighed 7 hours more and we'll be there. I closed my eyes and drifted to sleep.

Brandon's POV

"Your highness hey." I turned around to see the daughter of the king of Greymont.

"Princess Gwen what a pleasure." I really needed to get out of here. It is said that she went haunting all the princes that came to make a peace treaty with her father. I won't be one of her victims.

"I'm sorry to disturb you but can we talk in a private place?" She said flirtatiously.

"I'm sorry princess I have a duty here and it's with your father. Thank you for your request I have to get going." I was getting annoyed by her.

"Brandon come on." She whined.

"It's prince Brandon to you." I said coldly and I saw her flinch slightly.

"But-"

"I'm engaged princess Gwen. I have to decline your offer politely, or else I would talk with your father in the matter."

"Fine." She left.

Engaged. It was a word I never thought I would use after her. My mind drifted back to Alexa. Maybe if she didn't leave we would be a happy couple now. I had a big crush on her even when she left. I loved Elena. I loved her so much. Every time I look at Alexa I try to see Elena but I fail. Alexa was always there. But I didn't need love in my life. For me love is a forbidden word I would never use it again. I've had enough from Elena. Even now I still feel hurt when I think about her. She was my life, my all. She was my Elena.

But everything has to change. Eventually Alexa would leave back to Graceland and I will be a lonely man again. I will have mistresses and live my life carelessly. What is Alexa doing now! I couldn't help but think about her.

"Your highness." I turned to see Cameron.

"What's wrong?" I asked worriedly.

"There's a letter from your mother ." He said. I sighed in relief. I hope everything is fine there.

Dear Brandon,

I hope you're doing well my son. We are waiting for you to come back as soon as possible. We missed you and there's some work that your father is stressing himself about, you need to help him.

I was planning to go back in two days but apparently I'm needed there as soon as possible. I'll be leaving tonight.

"Cameron!"

"Yes your highness ?"

"We're leaving tonight. Prepare the carriage and our things. Be ready by 12."

"Yes." He bowed and left.

"Leaving so soon?"

"Yes king Xander. Thank you for your hospitality. I'm sure my father will be delighted about our agreement."

"I'm happy we are allies prince Brandon of Emerlan." He shook my hand and left.

"We're ready."
