Chapter 29

Alexandra's POV

I waited for the pain to hit me but instead I was met by 2 strong hands and the worried face of the man I fell in love with. He put me on the floor but I was shaking so he held me.

"He escaped!" Andrew exclaimed and the royal guards followed him.

"Follow him and get him to me!" Brandon orderes his guards.

"Are you okay?" He asked in a soft voice. I nodded and our lips connected in a heated kiss.

"I love you too." He winked and scooped me in his arms. I was so happy.

"Alex are you okay?" I got a hug from mom and dad.

"Yes I'm fine." I turned to my friends and thanked them. I thanked Maria the most without her I would've been married by now.

"ALEX!" I turned to see my grandpa. He was beyond furious.

"Grandp-"

"How dare you humiliate me in front of all these people?" He yelled. Brandon stood in front of me shielding me from my angry grandpa.

"It's my fault sir. It's not even a fault. I did what has to be done. I know why Alexa agreed to this marriage and I assure you that I can protect her from all the dangers. I'm sorry sir for this incident but it had to be done." We were all surprised at his speech. Grandpa sighed and nodded.

"Come here dear." He opened his arms and I hugged him. He kissed my forehead.

"I'm sure your dad is proud of you." Dad patted Brandon's back and mom was smiling at us.

"Let's go home." Brandon said looking into my eyes. I looked at my smiling parents.

"Go with him we'll take care of Harry and the twins." Dad said.

I took Brandon's hand and he led me outside. I looked at my friends and they waved at me and send me kisses. Brandon climbed onto his horse and there was a white horse next to him. Oh how much I missed horse riding. I climbed onto it and we departed followed by the guards.

"When you get tired you can go with Maria in the carriage." I nodded as we skipped Graceland's territory.

"Come on Andrew." I yelled for him. "Is that Maria?" I asked him. She was on a separate horse and not in a carriage.

"What? Did you think you'll have fun without me?" She said as she neared me. We laughed and all the way we were joking and surprisingly this time Brandon smiled a bit at least which is a progression.

"We're here." Brandon exclaimed as we entered  Emerland's territory. Soldiers were all around the borders patrolling. They bowed as they saw us entering Emerland. Finally I'm back home.

30 minutes later we were in front of the castle's gates. It was already night when we arrived. Ace and Lea were waiting for us with smiling faces. The guards opened the gates and we entered. We gave our horses to the guards as we approached the doors of the castle. Lea and Ace gave me a hug.

"We're glad you are back Alex." Lea said.

"I'm glad too. Emerland became my home. My place is here with you I will never leave again." Brandon put his hand on my waist sending tingles in my body.

"Jake and Regina will be following us soon." Brandon exclaimed.

"Great. By the way, I requested the maid to take your things into Brandon's room." I blushed and looked at Brandon. He smirked at me and I rolled my eyes.

"Okay. Goodnight." I said and we left to his-our room now.

Brandon closed the door when we were inside the room and slowly he came towards me. I looked anywhere but him until he was close to me. He put a lock of hair behind my ear. I looked into his chocolate eyes while he looked into mine.

"I love you too." He said. I was shocked.

"I love him." I said with confidence and Brandon froze. In that moment I didn't care if I confessed my feelings. It might be the last time.  Johnny looked furious but averted his eyes to my friends and Brandon.

I kissed him. I seem to make the first move every time but I don't care. All I care for now is that I'm in Brandon's arms safe. He kissed me back. I played with his hair while he held me by my waist. We pulled apart and he was smiling a genuine smile.

"Your smile is beautiful. You should always smile." I said and he chucked.

"Your smile is gorgeous and I'm happy when I'm the cause of that smile." My heart melted. Who knew that he could be a charmer. "I thought I would lose you." He whispered and hugged me.

"You didn't. I'm here with you."

"You are." He said.

"I am." He picked me up and twirled me. I laughed and he joined me. This part of Brandon that I now love. A knock was heard on the door.

"You get ready for bed I'll see what's the matter."

I nodded and entered the bathroom. I washed my face and untangled my hair. I brushed my teeth. I left the bathroom to saw that the room was empty. I went to the closet and took my pajamas and wore it. I waited for a couple of minutes but still Brandon hasn't come yet. Where was he? What happened that he had to leave in a hurry without telling me. Maybe I shouldn't act like we're a real couple and expect him to tell me everything. It would take time for him to get used to doing these things. And I'll wait. He saved me from hell and I'll wait for him. I just hope that he doesn't break my heart. This sudden love we're feeling for each others is scaring me. But as long as I'm safe with him that's all that matters for me.
