Chapter 4

Alexandra's POV

As soon as Harry said those words we freaked out. As much as I knew, Sofie's health was not good. We ran upstairs to her room and she was already in pain. She was struggling to breath. She was trying to scream but no sound was coming out of her mouth.

"Father what do I do?!" Harry screamed looking right and left.

"The carriage is outside let's take her to the royal hospital!" Brandon was freaking out too. He looked cute freaking out. It's not the time to drool over him idiot!

"We can't it's a long way there and she might get hurt." Brandon's grandma was calm, trying to calm the people in this room. My mom obliged me to study medical stuffs. I knew well how to help a woman in labor. But Sofie's state was dangerous. I'm afraid she won't make it. I didn't even know her state so it's better if I stayed out of it.

But there was no other choice.

"Okay listen I'll hep her while someone get the doctor ." I said. They all looked at me surprised.

"You're 17 years old what do you know about a woman in labor?" Brandon glared at me. I rolled my eyes and got closer towards Sofie ignoring his mean self.

"Please leave all of you." I was now in 'Alexandra is serious now' mode. They all left except Harry. He was gripping her hand and crying. My heart hurts for them. I really hope she makes it along with baby.

"Okay sof you'll have to push and help me okay?" I asked her with a serious look.

"I want the pain to stop p-please." She said crying harder her face red.

"It will stop. Harry bring me a bucket of hot water. Sofie take this in your hand and whenever you feel pain press it." She nodded still crying. Harry came back with the water.

"Okay Sofie push! I can see the head." I did a quick silent prayer.

30 minutes later.

"You're doing a good job. Harry where's the doctor ?!" I asked irritated. He should be here by now!

"I don't know."

After a couple of minutes the baby was out. We heard his wailing and I cried as I held him in my arms. He's so beautiful. His big green eyes looked at me and he calmed down. I smiled at the angelic beautiful baby boy.

"The doctor is here!" Finally it took him so long! The doctor entered and helped Sofie. She was fainting.

"Let's leave the doctor." Harry and I left the room back downstairs.

"Would you like to hold him?" Harry nodded and I gave the angel face to him. They all gathered around him with awed faces. Brandon face twitched between aw and a scowl but his eyes were soft looking at the young man . My heart melted as Harry gave his son to Brandon. He looked panicked but once he took him in his arms he calmed down.

"Hey." He said gruffly. The boy did cute sounds and shook his hands looking with his bright green eyes at us curiously.

"Let's take him to his mommy." The doctor said taking the last step looking happy.

"How is she doctor?" Harry asked him once he was next to us waiting for good news.

"Well all I could say is she was in good hands." He looked at me with a gentle smile. I smiled back and Harry took his son to his wife doing a mini dance and we all laughed.

"Congratulations Sofia." Anna said hugging her cousin.

"What did I miss?"  A young man entered the house looking curious. His eyes settled on me and his face turned into a confused one.

"John! Where were you? You have now a small brother in the house." John's eyes lit up and he ran upstairs where he knew his parents were.

"We're late. We must go." Brandon said. He hugged his grandparents and left the door.

"He is still broken because of Elena isn't he?" Her grandma's voice was sad.

"It's okay Eliza calm down honey." Vincent said.

"Yes grandma but don't worry he won't for too long." Anna said looking me.

"Goodbye." I waved at them and left their house. Brandon was nowhere to be seen and I assume that he left in the carriage he came with.

"Anna maybe we should come to town again." I said.

"Sure we can. Do you need anything?" She asked me as we continued walking.

"No don't worry about it." I replied with a smile.

We stopped when we reached town. I quickly left the carriage and went towards the shop that caught my eyes earlier. I entered and a small bell was heard.

"Yes! I'm coming." An old voice said. I smiled to myself and waited.

"Hello." I said when I saw him.

"Your highness!" He bowed.

"Oh no please it's okay." I said. And he stood up and came towards me.

"What can I help you with?" He asked enthusiastically. It's really obvious that rarely people came here to buy from his shop.

"I want to buy a diary." I said. This man owns a small library. I knew since there's a big one no one visits him. I felt sorry for him.

"I have the perfect one for you my Lady." He said and scurried away. I smiled and waited patiently for him.

"Here you go." He gave me a small book. The design was amazing and I fell in love with it instantly. There was a blank space at the top of the book.

"You can write your name here." He said.

"Thank you so much." I said and gave him some money.

"Oh no that's so much." He tried to give the money back to me but I refused.

"Please keep it." I took the diary and left to see Anna talking with someone.

"I'm back." I said and they both looked at me.

"Oh Alex come on. By the way this is Corey, my friend." She said pointing at Corey.

"Nice to meet you Corey." I said.

"My Lady." He bowed.

"See you later Corey." She said and we left the town back to the castle. I really need some food in my stomach and sleep.

"I knew that making you learn how to deliver a baby will be helpful." My mom squealed. After we arrived the dinner was ready and we were sitting on the table. Anna told them everything that happened.

"Good job Alex." Dad said proudly kissing my head.

"Thanks dad."

"You raised a perfect daughter Jake." Uncle Ace said.

"Yes indeed." Aunt Lea said with a smile.

"Thank you. I'm exhausted. If you'll excuse me. Goodnight." I said standing up not making eye contact with someone I knew was looking intensely at me. I quickly averted my eyes and looked at mom.

"Goodnight." They all said and I left back to my room. I took off my dress and wore my pj's. I laid on the bed thinking about the one and only. My fiancé. Shit I forgot. I should've told my parents about the incident. I heard a knock on my door.

"Come in." I sat straight on the bed. Mom walked in.

"Sweetheart are you okay?" She asked and came to sit next to me. She started playing with my hair just like when I was a kid and I relaxed.

"Yes I'm just tired mom." I told her not looking in her eyes because she knows when I'm lying. Maybe I should've told her. It's for the best.

"You know you can tell me anything." She urged me and waited.

"I know mom. Look." I sighed.

"What?" I told her everything that happened today and she looked shocked. She stood still for a couple of minutes until she exploded.

"Lea knew all along that you would eventually remember your crush for each other." Mom jumped up and down.

"Mom stop no! I didn't even want him to say that I'm his fiancé." I tried to argue with her. Maybe it was a bad idea. You see, mom always wanted me to be with Brandon but she didn't want to pressure me.

"It's okay. I'll talk with Lea about it." Oh thank god. Because that's exactly what I need, her help.

"Thank you mom." I kissed her and closed my eyes.

I woke up after feeling like I'm being watched. I looked at my pocket watch, it was 3:06 in the morning. I looked around the room. It was pitch black except for the little candle at the corner. I was thirsty, so I took a cup of water and drank it. There was no one in the room. I should stop being paranoid. Right after I closed my eyes I heard movement in the room and the door being opened and closed . I started panicking. I got up quickly and ran outside to see no one. Okay maybe I'm turning crazy.

"Alex?" I turned around to see Anastasia awake. She didn't seem okay.

"Sia are you okay baby?" I crouched to her level and looked in her teary eyes.

"No!" She hugged me and cried.

"What happened ?" I was alarmed.

"Bad dream." I took her in my arms and she laid her head on my shoulder.

A guards approached us looking worried as to why we're awake this late.

"Is everything okay Lady Alexandra?" He asked looking between a crying Sia and my worried self.

"Yes everything's okay don't worry." I said with a smile and he nodded going back to his previous place.

"Aw my poor baby. Come sleep next to me." I looked back at Sia and she smiled sheepishly and we went back to my room but not missing the shadow at the end of the corridor.
