Alexandra's POV

"Wake up my ladies." Someone was opening the curtains and it hurts to open my eyes.

"5 minutes please." I mumbled.

"Lady Regina is asking for you miss Alexandra." At the mention of mom I opened my eyes quickly and got up.

"Is something wrong ?" I asked hastily.

"I don't know." She left the room and I turned towards Sia. I'll let her sleep she was pretty tired last night. I got up put on a simple dress after brushing my teeth and washing my face. As usual I put a light make up and left the room.

"I heard you were in trouble." I heard Anna's voice next to me. I turned around but she wasn't talking to me. Instead she was talking to her brother.

"Move Anna. I'll talk to father he will understand." He said trying to walk past her.

"I wonder what uncle Jake will say about this." She was putting a piece of paper in his face.

"I'm the next king. He will say nothing." He said coldly and I saw Anna flinch. I can't imagine Harry talking to me this way I would be very hurt.

"Fine." She left him alone. He turned towards me and our eyes met.

"Don't. I'll make everything right." I looked at him confused . What was he talking about? What's going on?

"What?" I asked confused examining the paper in his hand.

"Didn't you hear?" He asked taking a step towards me.

"Hear about what." I asked again irritated to know what's happening because it clearly is something that has to do with me. And Brandon.

"Nothing. Our parents are waiting for us. Don't say anything while I make things right understood?" Okay who does he think he is bossing me around ?

"What the he-" I was cut off by my very own dearest mother. I rolled my eyes and looked at her.

"Alex! Your dad and I requested your presence awhile ago!" She screamed and her eyes were shooting fire at me. Okay something is definitely wrong here.

"Sorry mom I'm coming." I glared at Brandon and followed my mom.

"This must be taken care of!" As we approached the throne room I heard my father's voice. I flinched because it is the first time I hear so much anger in his voice.

"Mom what's going on ?" She didn't respond and just walked ahead of me. We entered the room to see 3 furious faces looking not at me but at something or someone behind me.

Brandon.

"Listen father I will stop this nonsense." He said calmly. Now I realized how fit he is to be the next king. He spoke in a way that can convince you easily.

"I can't believe you did something like this Brandon ." Aunt Lea said disappointed. What did he do?!

"I know mom it was totally my fault . I apologize but everything will go back to normal. I didn't realize that Elena would lose her mind ." He said with such self confidence that I could have melted in my spot. Which would be totally embarrassing.

"I think you owe the apology to someone else Brandon." She said looking at me. At me ? Why?

"I'm sorry to interrupt but what's going on?" I asked the four people present in the room. 4 set of eyes turned to me. The first was calm and collected. The second was apologetic. The third and fourth were furious and glaring at me. You can point out each pair to whom belong.

"The whole kingdom thinks that you and Brandon are engaged." Aunt Lea said glaring at her son now.

"WHAT?" I yelled and looked at him ready to strangle this hot ass prince.

"Lower your voice Alex." Dad said sternly.

"Alex go with Brandon to town today. You have a royal announcement to make." Uncle Ace said tapping his foot on the floor.

"What do I have to do with it?" I questioned still looking at Brandon.

"It's about the engagement Alexandra." Dad said . When he uses my full name it means shut the fuck up and don't ask anymore questions.

"Be ready by 2." Mom intervened.

"Yes mother." I said and left the throne room. Brandon followed me out and when there was no maids or guards around us I turned around and slapped him with full force.

"What the fuck ?!" He screamed his face red with anger. Does he express any emotion besides anger?

"See what you've done? Are you HAPPY NOW? YOU RUINED MY LIFE." I screamed at him.

"I SAID I WILL TAKE CARE OF THIS !" He roared and I was a bit scared.

"YEAH ? AFTER WHAT?!" Go to hell bitch.

"Enough Alexandra." A shiver ran down my spine at my name. His voice was dangerously low. I jumped and strangled him but he was too powerful and got my hands off his neck.

"Stop this nonsense." With that I left back to my room to wear a decent gown. It was already 1 o'clock. And I was already planning his murder.

"Stay calm Alex. I know this short temper of yours." Mom was giving me orders about how to behave while with him.

"Yes mom." She kissed my cheek. I went to the carriage. Brandon gave me his hand to help me but I glared. I heard a cough behind me and took his hand while rolling my eyes. I felt butterflies in my stomach. My hand fits perfectly in his. As soon as we were seated the carriage headed to town.

"You do as I say ." He said his neck and face still red from earlier. I laughed internally. That gave me satisfaction.

"Okay."

"Don't shout or scream."

"Okay."

"Don't do anything childish."

"Shut up. I'm not a 5 years old girl. I'm mature enough to know what to do." He only glared at me and turned back towards the road. Every time he wore the royal suit I can't help but check him out. He really was fit to be a king.

Well poor future queen.

"Your highness we're here." The guard announced. We stepped down from the carriage and walked to the center of the village.

"ROYAL ANNOUNCEMENT FROM PRINCE BRANDON ALEXANDER CHAUCER. FUTURE KING OF EMERLAND." There was a little stage at the center where Brandon and I would stand so everyone could see us.

"People of Emerland. I have an announcement to make to everyone along with the dearest daughter of duke Jake." They all cheered thinking we will announce our engagement.

I prefer to die.

"There have been rumors spreading in the kingdom about my engagement to Alexandra Maria Marlowe. It's not true. Please stop spreading these lies and wait for the royal announcements to know the updates. Thank you all for your time." He nodded at them and they all bowed to him. I was in aw. He was so confident and full of power that I saw some girls having heart attacks. Not really but you get what I mean.

"Let's go Alexandra." I followed him. But suddenly he stopped in his tracks and looked back at me.

"What?" He looked hesitant for a moment.

"Nothing. Come on." He's such a strange human being. I huffed and followed him.

"So? Is everything back to normal?" Mom asked me as I entered her room.

"Yes. I hope so." I sighed.

"Alex I'm sure Brandon's intention wasn't to hurt you." She said but I already know that.

"I know mom." I was surprised with myself.

"You do?" She raised her eyebrows in surprise. Dramatic mom.

"I mean Elena was such a bitch and she deserved the broken look on her face when he said I was his fiancé." I shrugged. I understand what he did and now since everything was clear I realized what he did. And it was fine by me.

"Well I agree with you. She's a bitch." Aunt Lea said walking into the room. "Sorry I didn't knock." Mom laughed and we sat on the sofas in my parents room.

"Hello aunt Lea." I said and waved at her.

"Hello Alex . Was everything okay?" She asked with her gentle smile.

"Yes everything is fine now." We heard a knock on the door.

"Come in ."

"Your highness. My ladies. His highness prince Brandon wants to talk with Lady Alexandra." She bowed and left the room. What?
