CHAPTER- 1

THE BEGINNING…

"For indeed, with hardship ease." - ...

A nervous gulp passes her throat as her round eyes scan the big , thick wooden gate in front of her . She licked her lower lip trying to control the overwhelmed emotion of turning around and ran to her house , where she somehow started to feel safe but as usual fate had to take a drastic turn in her life . It's almost midnight , the cold wind blew her face sending shivers down her spine.

" What are you waiting for to knock " a 6ft tall man came to stand beside her in a rude order . Her lips automatically pressed together so that she could prevent herself from running her big mouth because let's face it the moment her mouth opens , her eyes will be closed forever . Have you seen the big gun the man is holding?

This life is not her favourite but at least valuable.

Nodding her head slowly , she raised her hand to knock.

" Bismillah ( in the name of Allah Subhana wa ta'ala ) " she knocked twice .

The big wooden door creaked loudly while opening . The moment her eyes set inside it felt like the breath knocked out of her chest .

“The excessive mansion had so many rooms that it felt like a maze, and the grand ballroom could easily fit an entire football stadium.”

“The amount of gold and marble that adorned the mansion would be seen by many as rather excessive.”

“The expansive mansion was a stunning sight to behold, with its towering columns, sweeping staircase, and numerous balconies overlooking the rolling hills.”

“The mansion was so expansive that guests had to charter golf carts to get from one side to the other.”

" Wow..." That's the only word that came out of her mouth . The moment her feet step inside all the light of the mansion goes off in a blink , she gasps in fear , the man behind her was also astonished .

This has never happened before ?? He thought in his mind .

Hurriedly he went inside to check pushing Aamal's shoulder forcing her to enter fully inside the house .

" WHAT HAPPENED TO THE LIGHT , ASLAM , OMAR , RABIA " the man called out name Aamal has no idea about .

Aamal tried her best to look around but all she saw was darkness , like a blind person , she extended her hands in order to save herself from smashing into something .

" Where the hell is that girl going? " Sohaib the man called out .

" I am here " Aamal raised her hand calling out, forgetting the man cannot see an elephant in the house right now, forget about her .

" I am here " she said again meekly .

" Stay there only , the light will come soon then Rabia informs you about your work " Sohaib said.  He is in his mid 50s an angry grumpy man who has no smile on his face .

" Okay ..." She agreed with a soft voice .

" It's never happened before " she heard a woman's voice though cannot see her face .

" I know that... Ask Omar to check the circuit if Devil gets down , we are all doom " for the first time she heard a hint of fear in Sohaib's voice .

Devil??? Astagfirullah what kind of name is this .... She thought .

Feeling anxious and scarred , her legs hesitantly started to move on her own found stairs . Without using her mind she started to walk upstairs .

" Aamal, where are you going? " she whispered to herself .

She stopped " I think I should get down " she murmured confused .

The moment her leg turned around it loses the balance , she was about to broke , her back , face , nose whatever gonna hit the floor first a strong death grip held her wrist lightly hanging her on the air while the man didn't even hand to use the strength , she could see a figure because of small candles on the chandelier .

In a blink , a forceful pull made her cheek slam on his head chest.

" Ouch " she grunt in pain , rubbing her cheeks still standing so close to the man's chest . Her heart suddenly started to beat really fast , this is the first time she was standing so close to a man . Never in life has this happened before.

" Who are you ?" Before she could stop the word flew out of her mouth .

She looked up though she could see anything clearly except his sharp jaw .

Her breath hitch when she felt the man face lean down to her ear  , before she could freak out a dark , chilling voice near her ear " Devil "

Her eyes widened automatically .....
