chapter 7

       Aarushi tried to maintain her calm as she was nearing the main gate. She had thought of asking Neeta and Malini but turns the duo hadn't even reached nearby the college and it would be too rude to keep him waiting when she gave the time . Her steps started to get slower and she felt a weird kind of fear engulf her. She closed her eyes , took a deep breath as she looked at the main gate and saw the same guy standing there with her earring in his hand. She was about to take a step further when a hand suddenly wrapped around her shoulder as an annoyingly loud cheer rung in her ear.     " Looks like we are destined to be together.", the girl teased and Aarushi just rolled eyes at that. " You scared me !", she complained as she pushed off the other's hand. " Aww. Am sorry baby. I didn't mean to!", she cooed once again pulling the other into a side hug. " But you did!", Aarushi returned as she resumed walking. Vibha had no intention of letting the girl leave her behind so she tagged along uninvited.       " Oh you are here! ", the boy exclaimed as he smiled at Aarushi but frowned the very moment he saw she had a company, " Why are you here?" " Same question. " " To return her stuff ." " I told you , you could have dropped it with me. We are close anyways. ", Vibha said as she rested her hand on the other's shoulder once again. An obvious gesture to prove that what he was eyeing is already taken . Or perhaps won't be his at any vost. More like ' I dare you . 'That did earn a satisfying disappointed reaction from the boy to please Vibha. " Well, my earring.", Aarushi piped in breaking the akward tension building up. " Oh sorry. Here.", he said once again putting on his smile. Vibha extended her hand to him. He looked at Aarushi and girl showed no sign of taking the initiative. He knew he had to so he just handed it over. Aarushi mumbled a quick thank you and turned around to leave.     " Bye. ", Abhijeet said as he expected her to turn around. She just continued walking as if she heard nothing. He lowered his hand looking around akwardly as Vibha passed a mocking laugh . He glared at her but that didn't actually make her back off. He was about to leave when he saw her turn around. He smiled at her and she too gave a faint smile. It was his turn to smirk as he sensed a threatening gaze land on him.      " You ain't coming?", Aarushi asked and it was obivious who the question was for. " You want me to?", Vibha asked , as she straightened her posture slowly walking towards the stairs." Not like you won't if I say no.", Vibha chuckled at that and hurried her way up. She turned back to look at Abhijeet who  gave her an annoyed glare.     I love how this affects you. Watch me make it worse....
