Halley's Comet

The biggest smile is spread across my face as I watch Billie perform on stage. She looks so happy and just carefree out there. It's honestly simply unreal watching her sometimes.
For the record my hearing aids are off but still I'm enjoying just watching her.
I had to explain to Billie that her concerts are a little too..loud for me sometimes and I need to decompress a little bit. She completely understood and even offered to have me be taken to the green room whenever I needed to be somewhere a little more quieter.
I denied it at first but after a hour into her show, I always had someone come get me and take me to the green for maybe thirty minutes before I come back to the side the stage where I watch her absolutely kill it out there.
She looked at Finneas and sent him a nod before turning her head to look off stage at me. I frowned as I stare back at her, confused to what is going on. I turn my hearing aids back on and continue to stare at her as I try to figure out what was going on.
"Take this sweetie" Maggie, Billie's mom, said as she handed me a microphone.
Huh?
"I want to bring out a special guest tonight guys. She is new to things like this so I want you guys to be extra nice to her okay?" Billie says into her mic before turning her head to look back at me again.
What the hell is going on?
"Uh uh she isn't about to make me do what I think she is right?" I hurriedly ask Maggie who only gave me a gentle smile. Fans began to cheer loudly as Billie continues to speak with them about me coming out there.
"She's been talking about this for the longest, ever since she hear you sing her song a few weeks ago." She tells me and I hear Billie call my name over the loud cheering of her fans.
Oh hell the fuck no.
"Halley" Billie calls out to me again and I repeatedly shake my head no as I take a step back. She worriedly looks at Finneas who gives her a nod toward me.
"One second my loves" She tells the gigantic audience and hurries off the stage toward me.
"Hallâ"
"I can't go out there Billie." I quickly tell her as I continue to back up. "I don't sing in front of p-people. T-they are going t-to hate m-me" My breathing starts to increase as I stare at her.
She takes my hand and shushes my nervous stutters before lifting my hand up and kissing my knuckles gently. "Hey hey listen" She tells me and makes sure I'm staring into her eyes.
What is with this girl and eye contact?
"It's going to be okay. Just keep your eyes on me. Don't worry about them. They are definitely not going to hate you mama, I promise."
I open my mouth to deny again only to be cut off by the whole arena beginning to chant my name. My eyes widened and look at Billie who looks equally shocked.
"Halley! Halley!" They chant and I grip Billie's arm while she simply just smiles at me. "See they already love you" She tells me and wraps her arm around me.
"You don't have to do this if you seriously don't want to. I donâ"
I quickly shake my head, cutting her off as I speak. "No no i-it's okay" I take a large big breath and look at Finneas who is still on stage and is watching us from where he sat in front of a piano.
She grins brightly and nods her head. "I'm going to go out there and start singing. You come out whenever you feel ready okay?"
I nod in return.
True to her word, Billie left me to head back on stage. Of course everyone cheered and scream for her making her let out an adorable giggle into the mic.
"I absolutely can't stand this song but just for tonight I will sing this for you bozos" She says and someone brings out two chairs. She sits down at one before looking offstage at me again and sends me a comforting smile.
She nods her head and sends her cue before music begins to play. Everyone screams as the intro to No Time to Die begins. I grin and shake my head.
Of course. At least she picked a song that she knew I knew.
I should've known
I'd leave alone
Just goes to show
That the blood you bleed
Is just the blood you owe
We were a pair
But I saw you there
Too much to bear
You were my life
But life is far away from fair
I took in a deep breath and looked at Maggie who sent me an encouraging smile. "You got this sweetie just sing from the heart" She tells me making me quickly hug her.
I don't know why I did but honestly I'm glad I did. Maggie's hugs will always be the most comforting thing I have ever experienced. She whispers me encouraging words before we pull away.
I look back at the stage to see Billie turning her head to looks at me again. She holds her hand out for me making me quickly blush and sigh.
She mouths come here mama before sending me a subtle wink. I roll my head but it doesn't stop me from making my way onto the stage. I walk toward her and try not to pay attention to the screaming fans.
"Was I stupid to love you?" I sing into the mic making Billie immediately smile as she sings the next line. "Was reckless to help?"
"Was it obvious to everyone else?"
When I reach her, she takes my hand and kisses it gently. "You got this bro" She tells me when she moves the mic away from her mouth. I grin and sit down next to her as I continue to sing.
That I'd fallen for a lie?
You were never on my side
Fool me once, fool me twice
Are you death or paradise?
Now you'll never see me cry
There's just no time to die
I let it burn
You're no longer my concern
Faces from my past return
Another lesson yet to learn
Singing with Billie is something I can't even explain. She truly makes you feel like you are the only one in the room. To sing with her in general or even just her sing is completely and utterly magical. I don't think I could ever get tired of w her amazing and extraordinary voice.
We held eye contact as we sang in unison before I end up breaking it to look at the crowd. I saw a million of phone flashes as it sways back and forth. I grin as I hear the crowd cheering us both on every time we take a moment to catch our breath in the song.
When we get close to the high note, I already know Billie is going to want me to sing it so I look at her. She was already looking at me and I take her hand in mine before slowly shutting my eyes. I lean my head back to hit that insane high note that everyone seems to love so much.
When I finish, I open my eyes to see Billie looking at me with the biggest smile on her face. She sang the rest of the song with me and squeezed my hand whenever I looked away form her.
I ended up staring into her eyes as we both lean in, resting our foreheads against each others as Billie serenades us with that breathtaking voice of hers.
"There's just no time to die" we sing together before all I'm welcomed with is an insane amount of cheering. I groan as my hand goes to my ear immediately making Billie quickly shush the crowd respectfully.
"Guys not too loud okay? Halley is still adjusting toâ" I cut her off by shaking my head and lifting the mic up to my lips. "I'm not use to loud noises I'm sorry everyone" I say shyly into the mic. Billie smiles at me and shakes her head as well.
Everyone cheers once more but not as loud as before which made me very happy. "I want everyone to say hi to Halley." she speaks into the mic making the cheers immediately start again.
I blush and hide my face in her neck causing her to laugh adorably into the mic. "You did so good mama" She tells me as she moves the mic away from her mouth and gives my arm a very comforting squeeze.
"Thank you" I whisper to her and sigh deeply as I pull myself away from her. I turn to face the happy and cheering crowd before looking back at Billie.
"One more and then you can go" She tells me making me nod and take a seat in the chair. She looks at Finneas who immediately cues for the music to start.
