Chapter 992 A Different Shaun “Who is this?”

“It’s Shaun. I’m standing right outside of the Kooper residence now. I have something to tell you. Could you come down?”

‘Shaun?’

Kisa knitted her brows.

‘Didn’t Shaun get very mad and leave on the day J & K Film Group merged with GK Pictures? What is it that he wants to tell me?’

Kisa did not refuse to see him, considering that he was the most loyal man around Jensen. “Give me a minute,” she replied.

Kisa hurriedly rushed to the bathroom, freshened herself up, got changed, and ran outside.

Gilbert had woken up way before her. Before this, Kisa touched the empty space on her bed, not feeling the warmth, and wondered if Gilbert had already returned to the office.

It was still early in the morning, and the living room was silent. Kisa made her way out of the front yard and saw a big man smoking while leaning on the wall outside.

“Ms. Becker!” Shaun stood upright as soon as he saw her, sounding more respectful than before.

Kisa looked at him, confused. “What is this about?”

7 Shaun put out his cigarette as he said apologetically, “Ms. Becker, I was too rude that day, and I spoke without thinking it through. Please forgive me.”

Kisa shook her head, completely forgetting what had happened that day. Besides, she was the one who handed Jensen’s company to a person who hurt him. She perfectly understood why Shaun acted that way since he was Jensen’s right-hand man.

“I came here today because…

“I don’t want to quit anymore,” Shaun spoke in a serious manner. “I’ve been working with Mr. Kooper since he started the company. I just don’t feel very good leaving like this.”

Kisa pursed her lips dejectedly.

“However, J & K Film Group isn’t the same as before anymore. It’s just a subsidiary company of GK now.”

“That’s fine. I have no problems with that. I wouldn’t mind even if I’m just going to be a random employee there.” Shaun said nervously. “Besides, I’ll do everything you said. You can tell me to do anything if you ever need help.”

Kisa looked at Shaun oddly. She had no idea why this man’s attitude suddenly took such a big turn.

As if he noticed Kisa’s suspicion, Shaun immediately put on a sad face.

“I went to visit Mr. Jensen Kooper that day…”

Kisa’s heart tightened. Then, she asked, “How is he? Is he awake?”

Shaun shook his head. “I looked at him and thought about the things he had said to me previously.

“He said that J & K Film Group belongs to you, and we must obey your orders if he isn’t around anymore. He wanted us to treat you like how we treated him. However, I failed him by standing up to you that day.”

Kisa felt sad as tears welled up in her eyes. Jensen was just so thoughtful and considerate of her, but what had she done to him?

She was the reason why he ended up in the hospital because of her love.

Kisa took a deep breath and looked at Shaun. “There’s no need for you to follow everything Jensen said. You should leave if you have better offers or other plans elsewhere. You don’t have to constrain yourself because of what he said.”

“No!” Shaun immediately shook his head. “I’ve been working for him my whole life. You’re my new boss now since he said so. We’ll wait for him to wake up together.”

After seeing his determination, Kisa did not feel like rejecting him. Then, she said, ” Okay, I’ll let Gilbert know about this and tell him to reinstate you to your old position.”

“Thank you, Ms. Becker.”

Shaun got into the car and watched Kisa walk back into the mansion as a cold smirk flashed across his face.
