Chapter 1048 You’re Going to be Disappointed Mia blew a puff of smoke and smirked, “Don’t act all fake, asking about Jensen’s situation whenever you meet me. He’s in the same old situation; he can’t die anyway.”

Kisa clenched her hands, feeling the atmosphere of extreme pressure in the office. She wanted to leave, but Mia chuckled at her before she could, “Since you brought Shaun here, you already know why I founded Risen Enterprise.”

“Yes…” Kisa replied softly without saying anything more. Mia did not beat around the bushes and straightforwardly said, “I want to use Risen Enterprise to deal with Gilbert. Are you willing to help me take down GK Pictures along with the Kooper family’s assets and give them to Jensen?”

This was actually Kisa’s initial thought; to take down GK Pictures and give it to Jensen. But, she did not want to cooperate with Mia, especially since Shaun tricked her. It made her really uncomfortable and insecure about it. Davian’s hatred still echoes in her ears. Her head was in turmoil, as she could not differentiate what was true and false. Kisa feared that she had gotten things wrong and had taken revenge on the wrong person.

After seeing Kisa’s silence, Mia added, “I heard from Shaun that Gilbert takes a fancy to you now. He gave you the power second to him in GK Pictures. If you could help me, then it would be easy to take down GK Pictures.”

“You are going to be disappointed, I’m afraid,” Kisa responded in a flat tone. “Shaun duped me, made me the bad guy of GK Pictures. Do you think Gilbert would still trust me?”

“Woah, there’s a lot of resentment hidden in that reply,” Mia chuckled with a half- smile. She then looked toward Shaun and said in a reproachful tone, “Why didn’t you discuss this with Mrs. Kooper beforehand?”

Mia even changed her address term to Kisa and referred to her as Mrs. Kooper, which was ironic. “I told you before, Jensen and Mrs. Kooper are really close. Besides, Jensen helped her a lot in the past.

Yet, Kisa knew that Mia was purposely saying this in front of her to mock her. Shaun lowered his head and said, “I’m sorry, Miss Fallon. My bad.”

“Forget it. I’m sure Mrs. Kooper won’t blame you for anything since she has a big heart. She could even forgive her enemy who once hurt her so deeply. How could she not forgive you?”

Kisa could not stand Mia’s tone and felt that Mia had changed. Maybe it was because of Jensen that Mia was completely upset with her now. Kisa was suffocating from the heavy atmosphere in the office.
