‘What a cruel twist of fate!’ Kisa looked up at the ceiling to avoid her tears falling.

Kisa returned to the room, and her mood was affected again.

‘I thought Andrew and Ada’s mom was the woman Gilbert loved most because only that woman was allowed to give birth to the child of the Kooper family. However, this isn’t the truth. Kisa turned off the lights. The only source of light left was the moonlight illuminating the room.

The night went on.

Kisa tried to sleep for a long time, but she still could not. There were too many things on her mind. She reached out for her phone. She had gotten into bed after eight o’clock, and it was already midnight.

Her finger tapped on Gilbert’s contact accidentally. For a moment, Kisa wanted to dial out and talk to him about what happened back then. But thinking that he was still blaming her for the contract, she gave up that idea.

Suddenly, a beam of headlights shone in through the windows and was followed by the sound of brakes as she was putting the phone down.
