Reborn Through Fire By Kazuya Higan Chapter 1081
Reborn Through Fire
Chapter 1081 Godâs Will âTurns out Andrew and Adaâs mom was just an unknown woman who had sexual relations with Gilbert while he was drunk. No wonder Gilbert refused to tell me who Andrew and Adaâs mom was. So thatâs the parentage of the two kids.â
For some reason, Kisa took pity on Andrew and Ada in her heart when she learned of their parentage.
âIt turns out their first existence was not recognized or expected by the Kooper family. Moreover, their mom⦠abandoned them for money.â
Madalyn looked out of the yard with a walking stick and sneered, âYes. That woman was sensible. She didnât come to make trouble for so many years. As for the reason why Gilbert didnât mention their mom in front of the kids, itâs probably because he didnât want to make them sad.â
George nodded, âI understood.â He said quizzically after a pause, âHowever, the day when Andrew and Ada were born was also the day Maâam had an accident in the prison. Maâam lost Master Gilbertâs child, but Davian sent Andrew and Ada here on New Yearâs Eve that year. Maybe this is Godâs will.â
âWhat a cruel twist of fate!â Kisa looked up at the ceiling to avoid her tears falling.
âThe pain deep in my heart always flares back up when talking about that child back then. All of them are children of Gilbert on the same day of birth. But my child was taken away from me, and another woman gave birth to two lovely children for Gilbert. Itâs too cruel, even if itâs Godâs will. Anyway, I wonât blame Andrew and Ada. Iâll treat them as my own children from now on.â
Kisa did not disturb Madalyn and George. She just turned around and went upstairs quietly.
Madalyn sighed meaningfully, âMaybe itâs Godâs will. But itâs fine for the children to recognize Kisa as their mom if sheâs sincere toward Gilbert.â
Kisa returned to the room, and her mood was affected again.
âI thought Andrew and Adaâs mom was the woman Gilbert loved most because only that woman was allowed to give birth to the child of the Kooper family. However, this isnât the truth. I didnât know what to say. It seems inappropriate to resent Gilbert. After all, he was drunk at the time. Luckily, the kids havenât been clamoring about their mom lately. They just want me to be their mom desperately. But theyâll find out the truth eventually when they grow up.â
Kisa leaned back on the back of the chair and felt depressed.
âAlcohol really is a vice. Presumably, that woman was pregnant around the same time as me. Thinking back to the time Gilbert hated me so much because of that night, he kept saying I was being cheap, and that I designed it to frame him. I have no idea how he felt about that woman after they had relations.â
Kisa felt even more annoyed while thinking of Gilbertâs one-night stand with that woman. She lay down on the bed, depressed. She was exhausted, but she rolled around and could not fall asleep. All those unbearable memories echoed in her mind.
Suddenly, she wondered, âWould everyone be better off if it was that woman who married Gilbert back then?â
Kisa turned off the lights. The only source of light left was the moonlight illuminating the room.
The night went on.
Kisa tried to sleep for a long time, but she still could not. There were too many things on her mind. She reached out for her phone. She had gotten into bed after eight oâclock, and it was already midnight.
Her finger tapped on Gilbertâs contact accidentally. For a moment, Kisa wanted to dial out and talk to him about what happened back then. But thinking that he was still blaming her for the contract, she gave up that idea.
Suddenly, a beam of headlights shone in through the windows and was followed by the sound of brakes as she was putting the phone down.
