Chapter 1137 Gilbert Is Annoying Gilbert frowned and was displeased. ‘If she wants to go to Oceanville, then just go. Why does she need Peter to take her in? Why does it sound like she’s flirting with him?

“Take you in?” Peter was stunned for a moment. “Sure, my farmily owns many hotels in Oceanville. You can stay wherever you like,” he said boldly.

“Would it be okay if I stay at your place for a few days? I want to meet Mr. Webb Sr.”

Peter was dumbstruck once again. Before he could say anything, Gilbert suddenly voiced out coldly, “It wouldn’t be right for you, a married woman, to stay at the Webb family residence. I’m going there for some business soon. You should just come with me. We can stay at a hotel.”

“No, a hotel isn’t safe. I want to stay at the Webb residence and visit Mr. Webb Sr.,” she said, looking at Peter. “I heard that the Webb residence is huge and surrounded by mountains and rivers. The scenery must be great. Your family wouldn’t complain if I stayed at your place for a few days, would they?”

Kisa knew from the letter that the last place David went to was the Webb residence. She had to go to the Webb residence if she wanted to find out where David was. She was not close with the Webb family, so she could only rely on her relationship with Peter to go there for a few days.

Peter glared at him resentfully. He actually did not mind Gilbert staying at his house. After all, his place was huge and could fit many people. He was going to use what he said as an excuse and suggest Jolina to come along. ‘Now that he’s said that, how could I ask Jolina to come?! Ugh! Gilbert Kooper is so annoying! He thought.

Peter then looked at Jolina and said, “They’re both coming to my place, so you should come too.”

Jolina shook her head and replied, “No, I have work to do.” Peter frowned, and his face darkened.

“That settles it then, Mr. Webb. Don’t go sending me to a hotel when the time comes!” Kisa hurriedly said.

“Don’t worry, Mr. Kooper is coming too, right? There’s nothing for you to be afraid of now that he will be around.”

Kisa pursed her lips. ‘But I never intended to go there with him. Maybe there will be some changes,’

she thought.

Peter kept staring at Jolina, depressed. When she took her last bite of food, he got up and pulled her up. as well. “Come on, let’s go out and have a talk.”

Jolina resisted, however. “I have nothing to talk about with you.”
