Reborn Through Fire By Kazuya Higan Chapter 1347
Reborn Through Fire
Chapter 1347 It Was All Too Late It was Anthony. He was dressed in black, and his face was cold and solemn. His thin lips were tightly pressed together, revealing a touch of daunting coldness. Kisa was unsure if it was her imagination, but she felt that Anthony had lost some weight.
Anthony knelt and placed a bouquet of flowers in front of her grave. He stood up and stared at Leaâs photo in silence, without saying a word. Kisa did not understand what he was trying to do. In her eyes, Lea took her own life because of that man. She did not know why he was there after so many days.
âI remember telling you not to be so cruel to her, otherwise, youâd drive her to her death, but you didnât believe me,â Kisa stood up and uttered coldly.
Antonyâs gaze slowly turned to her. There were no emotions on the manâs face; only a sense of melancholy lingered over him.
Suddenly, he violently grabbed Kisa by the neck. Startled, Kisa backed away quickly and fell in front of Leaâs grave.
Anthony held her neck up against Leaâs tombstone and said, âYou knew something was wrong. Why didnât you tell me? Why didnât you stop her from doing it? Huh?! You could have told me or done something about it. You could have saved her! But you didnât! You didnât do anything about it!â
Anthonyâs eyes showed deep hatred and grief.
Kisa wanted to laugh at him for the accusations, but she could not. Instead, tears kept gushing from her eyes.
âYou broke her heart. Youâre the one she loves, yet you broke her heart,â said Kisa. âFrom the time you saved her, she had always kept you close in her heart. We were such good friends, yet she still betrayed me for you. You were the most important thing to her. Look at how you treated her. It wasnât the loss of that child that crushed her. No. It was your attitude toward her.â
âMy attitude toward her?â Anthonyâs hands trembled slightly.
âShe was standing on the edge of a cliff because you didnât love her back. I couldnât do anything about it; only you could. But what did you do? Did you even care for her? All you did was insult her. I told you to let her go if you didnât want to be with her, Anthony. But what did you do? Sheâs dead. Are you happy now? Mark my words; youâre going to live with this pain and guilt for the rest of your life!â
âStop it!â Anthony roared angrily.
He covered his head with his hands and broke down in grief. âI-I didnât know it would come to this. She could have told me what she wanted. I wouldâve listened. Why did she have to do this to punish me? |
could have given her another child if she wanted one. Why did she have to take her own life? What am I supposed to do now? What am I supposed to do for the rest of my life?â
The man squatted before the grave, clutching his head as he cried hysterically. It was the first time Kisa had seen him like that. She had always thought that he was a cold-blooded person and that he did not have any feelings. But now, it seemed like he had really cared about Lea. Unfortunately, it was all too late Kisa did not say a word. She just glanced at the man lightly and began walking down the hill. She then saw Gilbert walking toward her from a distance. It seemed that he had grown impatient with waiting outside.
The man had long legs, so he was able to walk up to her after a short while. âAre you okay? What was taking so long?â
Gilbert held her hand tightly, but he frowned when he saw the red mark on her neck.
