Chapter 1361
Reborn Through Fire
Chapter 1361 Heâs Still Pretending Kisa hissed, âHe deserves to die. Jensen is still in a coma, those ugly burn scars on my body will never fade, and that baby of mine will never come back. So how can he live so well? Heâs the one who deserves to die!â
It hurt her to say this. She clenched her hands, looking indescribably grief-stricken.
Adrien exhaled a ring of smoke and urged her, âSilly girl. If you murder him, youâll have hell to pay. Itâs not worth it to put your life on the line like that.â
âI donât care.â Kisa covered her face and cried with grief. âHe hurt me, and he hurt the person who treated me the best. I hate him. I hate him to death.â
Outside the door, Gilbert listened quietly to the conversation inside, his hands clenched into fists at his sides. He had been worried about her, so after she ran out, he followed her. He could not help himself worry about her although he knew she hated and resented him. And now, listening to her hateful words, his worry seemed so ridiculous. He laughed at himself, with grief, despair, and tinge of resentment on his face.
âWe canât be reconciled anymore. She and I can never be reconciled anymore.â
He turned around and walked down the long hallway slowly, feeling lonely and depressed.
âKisa, listen to me. There are many ways to get back at him. It doesnât have to kill him,â Adrien said earnestly.
âThe best way to get back at someone is to make him lose everything and be miserable.â There was a touch of ruthlessness in his voice.
Kisaâs heart skipped a beat. âIt seems that Adrien doesnât want to kill me and Gilbert. What he wants most is for me and Gilbert to suffer. But what exactly does Adrien have against us that he wants to take revenge on us? Or is he taking revenge on us for someone else? Only that person is staying in the shadows?â
Kisa suppressed her doubts and looked at Adrien with reddened eyes. âWhat can I do to make him lose everything and be in pain?â
As Adrien said nothing and continued smoking a cigarette silently, she suddenly knelt in front of him.
âUncle Adrien, for the sake of your acquaintance with my mother, please help me-help me get revenge.â
Adrien quickly helped her up. âSilly girl. I never said I wouldnât help you. I was just thinking about things.â
âI guess heâs thinking about whether he can trust me, isnât he?â Kisa thought to herself.
âI know your mother very well. Even if you hadnât asked, I would have helped you. But Iâm not sure I could be of help to you,â Adrien said.
âIt is better to have your help than to be on my own.â Kisa choked back a sob. She suddenly smiled again, looking ironic. âUncle Adrien, do you know how that man reacted after I just failed to kill him?â
Adrien looked at her with a raised eyebrow, as if he was interested in what she was saying. âWhat is his reaction?â he asked.
âHe hugged me and said he loved me. Heh, heâs still pretending after all that.â
Adrienâs heart skipped a beat. âMaybe he really loves you.â
âNo way.â Kisa retorted. âIf he really loved me, he wouldnât have done all that to me.â
Adrien smiled faintly, as if he knew what was going on. âKisa, listen to me. Continue to please him and stay by his side.â
âWhy?â Kisa put on a resentful look. âI hate him. I canât stay with him for a day.â
âBe good.â Adrien stroked her head gently, saying, âOnly by staying at his side can you have the chance to make him lose everything.â
