Reborn Through Fire
Chapter 247 You Shouldnât Be Helping a Tyrant Jensen shrugged. âWhat do you think weâre doing?â he asked.
Gilbertâs expression became even colder. He had come to the farm since the day Kisa appeared here.
He had been monitoring her every move. He knew that she disliked Christopher Case and Sharon, but
he did not expect her to frame Carolyn Marshall. âShe is a vicious woman. She ruined the entire Case f amilyâs reputation just because of some personal grievance she had against them,â he thought.
Jensen smiled when he saw the cold look on Gilbertâs face. âIâll never stop her from doing what she wa nts to do. Iâll only support her.â
âEven when she has lost her conscience?â
âYes, I will support everything she does.â
For some reason, Gilbert was jealous after hearing Jensenâs words. Maybe it is because he could not d o what this man was willing to do for Kisa. However, he was disgusted at the fact that Kisa had done su ch an evil thing to Carolyn.
âShe shouldnât be this vicious,â Gilbert said in a low voice. âYou shouldnât be helping a tyrant like her.â
âHahaha!â Jensen laughed with a hint of sarcasm. âI finally know why she hates you.â
Gilbert stared at him without saying a word.
âItâs because you never tried to get to know her. You keep thinking that sheâs vicious, but to me, sheâs th e kindest person Iâve met. Sheâs doing all this just to get revenge. You donât know what she went throug h. You have no right to call her a vicious woman.â
In his opinion, his younger brother is so pampered that he has never seen the darkest side of humanity
yet.
âGilbert, you and us⦠We are not the same.â
âWhat does he mean by âusâ? Is he implying that he and Kisa are the same kind of people, that Iâm isolated from them?â
Gilbert clenched his fists and asked, âYou fell for her from the start, right?â
Jensen paused and chuckled, âWhat do you mean by that?â
âWhen we were younger, you said you didnât like her.â
âYeah? Well, I lied.â Jensen smiled and said, âTo be honest, if Iâd fought for her when we were younger,
she wouldnât have suffered so much.â
âSo what if thatâs true? Weâre not kids anymoreâ said Gilbert as he narrowed his eyes coldly.
Jensen merely smiled and turned to leave. Gilbert stared at his back with an indescribable desolation in his heart. The elder brother who had always protected him was gone. He never wanted things to be lik e this between them, but he knew that they could never go back to how things used to be.
When Kisa returned to the apartment, Jensen was at the door, waiting for her.
âWhy are you back so late? Have you eaten yet?â he asked and pulled her into the house. The smell of f wafted out of the kitchen, making Kisa hungry.
Although she had avenged her mother today, she felt a hint of sadness. She was sad because her moth going home. She did not dare go back to the apartment until the sadness in her heart had calmed down her.
Jensen had cooked many types of food each day. She marveled at his cooking skills and felt a warm fee âNice job ruining their plan, Kisa,â Jensen said as he poured her a glass of wine.
âDid you go to the farm today?â Kisa took the glass of wine and asked.
âWellâ¦â Jensen hesitated for a while and said, âGilbert was there too.â
