Reborn Through Fire
Chapter 479 Let Me Hug You For a While Even if Kisa covered herself from top to toe, Gilbert could recognize her instantly. âThe weather has turned colder. Where is she going at this hour?â While he was thinking, Kisa got into her car and drove off. With no time to think, Gilbert turned the car around and followed her.
It was almost 9.00 pm, and there were still many people and cars on the street.
Gilbert was following Kisaâs car closely, afraid to lose her. After about half an hour, Kisaâs car drove toward the airport. It puzzled Gilbert. âWhy is she going to the airport at this hour? Is she going to another city to attend some event? If she is going to an event, why isnât her assistant following her?â He followed her into the parking area of the airport. Kisa got out of the car and went straight toward the arrival hall. She also made a phone call while walking. Gilbert frowned. âIs she coming to pick up someone? Is the person that important for her to pick him up personally at this hour?â Suppressing his curiosity, he hurriedly got out of the car and followed her.
âJensen!â
With the location Jensen had told her, Kisa finally found him in the lounge on the second floor. Jensen checked his watch. âYou arrived pretty fast.â
âOf course, I had to be quick to pick you up.â Kisa chuckled and asked curiously, âWhy didnât you tell me when you were boarding the plane so that I could have picked you up earlier and you wouldnât have had to wait?â
âIt is okay. That is fine.â While speaking, he suddenly got up and took her in his arms.
Kisa froze. âJensen, you⦠youâ¦â
âIt has been a long time. Let me hug you for a while.â
Kisa nodded stiffly. She felt Jensen was a bit strange when he returned from this trip.
Not far away, Gilbert glared at the two embracing each other, his fists clenched at his side. âHeh! So she is here to pick up Jensen. No wonder! Look at them. They look like a pair of lovers who have been separated for a long time and canât wait to embrace each other. The person she loves is never me.
Even if Grandma had those words recorded by setting Kisa up, they were all genuine. The one she loves is never me but Jensen.â
âJensen, have you had dinner?â
Jensen reluctantly let go of Kisa and smiled. âNot yet.â
âThen letâs go eat together. I have not eaten either.â
âOkay.â Jensen smiled gently.
As the two of them were walking out of the airport, Kisa suddenly remembered the scarf she had put in her handbag and hurriedly took it out. âNow that the weather has turned cold, and the night is chilly, put this scarf on.â She tiptoed and wrapped the white scarf around Jensenâs neck.
Jensen looked down and rubbed the white scarf with a smile. âDid you knit it?â
Kisa quickly shook her head. âOf course not. I can knit a scarf too, but Iâm not very good at it. Do you want it? If so, I will knit one for you when I have time. It is not difficult anyway.â
âYeah.â
In the distance, Gilbert took off the tie around his neck and laughed selfâdeprecatingly. âShe is so thoughtful of giving a scarf to Jensen, but she wouldnât even help me pick out a tie. This is the difference between us, and even this tie was chosen only because I forced her to. To think I still treasured it and wore it every day. Now, it is ironic to think about it.â He narrowed his eyes and threw the tie into the trashcan.
