Reborn Through Fire
Chapter 839 He Bit Me For Real Just as Kisa wanted to yell at the man, he suddenly leaned in and bit her on the shoulder.
âHe bit me for real,â she thought.
Her dress was strapless, so Kisa almost teared up in pain when he bit her.
The man let go of her and looked at her with a smirk.
Kisa was furious, âYouâre being a dumb*ss again!â
Gilbert gently ran his slender fingers across the neat bitemark.
Then, he smirked playfully, âYou probably wonât be able to wear clothes that reveal your shoulders in a while, so other men wonât see your shoulders.â
Hearing his words, Kisa went ballistic.
âYou lunatic! I have to attend a jewelry exhibition tomorrow.â
âWear something else,â the man said bossily.
Kisa gritted her teeth angrily and glared at the man in front of her. Suddenly, she leaned over and bit him on the neck.
The man frowned and grunted. However, an affectionate smile slowly formed on his lips.
Kisa bit him for a while before she felt satisfied and let go of him.
There were also two rows of bitemarks on Gilbertâs neck now. However, Kisaâs bite was more aggressive than his, so the bitemarks almost bled.
Gilbert touched his neck. He said in an amused and resigned tone, âHow will I meet with people now that youâve bitten me here?â
âThatâs your business. You bit me first,â Kisa snorted quietly.
The man chuckled. His smile brimmed with resignation.
âHow ruthless of her. I only bit her gently, yet she returned the favor tenfold,â he thought.
He gently moved away from her.
When Kisa saw Gilbert move away, she eagerly jumped off the sink as if she were worried that he would suddenly lean back over.
Gilbert peered at her rushed movements and felt a little upset.
He watched as she jumped down and walked toward the bathroom.
Gilbert hurriedly grabbed her.
âKisaâ¦â he gazed deeply at Kisa.
Kisa could not help but feel guilty when she heard his upset tone.
He continued, âDo youâ¦like me or not?â
âAll this time, Iâve never properly asked her this question. Initially, I thought I just wanted us to reconcile and return to how we were. It didnât matter if I didnât have a place in her heart; what mattered was that I could stay by her side. But at the end of the day, people are greedy. After I got what I wished for in the beginning, I wanted more,â thought Gilbert.
The man had an earnest expression as he slowly tightened his grip on Kisaâs wrists.
Kisa could not help but notice the manâs uneasiness.
She turned around and said earnestly, âLetâs put it this way. I wonât be with someone if I donât like them; weâd only be friends at most.â
âBut you said you were nice to me because my name is Gilbert Kooper, so what if Iâm not the Gilbert Kooper your mother mentioned?â
Hearing this, Kisa could not help but laugh, âWhat does me liking you or not have to do with that? So what if youâre not the Gilbert Kooper that my mother mentioned? That Gilbert Kooper may already have a family and doesnât need me to watch over him.â
Gilbert frowned and was about to continue speaking.
âButâ¦â
Kisa quickly cut him off, âAlright. Why are you being emotional and overthinking like a woman?â
Gilbertâs expression darkened.
âI was just a little worried; I wasnât being emotional. This woman needs a lesson. Someday, Iâm going to make her beg for forgiveness under me. How infuriating!â he thought.
Suddenly, Kisa frowned at him as if she had just remembered something, âBy the way, howâd you get into my room?â
