Chapter 118
Love After Divorce by BELLA
Chapter 118:
Andrew laughed coldly and nodded, though his face was filled with unwillingness.
At the same time, Stella couldnât fully comprehend what was happening. She looked at Andrew with confusion in her eyes.
He stepped aside but kept a close watch on both Tristan and Stella, thinking carefully about their every move.
After all, Stella was just a stranger to him. He hadnât imagined that this seemingly simple woman had such a strong connection.
Despite everything that had happened, especially the injury Stella caused by smashing the bottle over his head, Andrew didnât plan on letting her off so easily.
However, Tristanâs presence changed the situation.
Even though Andrew was known for his temper, everyone in their circle understood the fine line between âkeepingâ and âletting go.â In this world, crossing boundaries didnât just impact individuals; it affected families, companies, and future relationships.
Tristan squatted down beside Stella, ready to help her up from the ground, but she instinctively leaned back, shaking her head.
âIâll just ask Cherry to help me up,â she said.
Cherry, who had been hiding in the inner room, rushed out as soon as she heard the commotion. She hadnât expected Tristan to show up and thought Stella had called him for help.
Before Cherry could even reach Stella, Tristan had already lifted her into his arms, not hesitating for a second. Stella tried to push him away, but deep down, she knew it was useless. So, she stopped struggling.
With Tristan by her side, they left the private room, exited Starlight Nightclub, and got into the car without further obstacles.
Tristan placed Stella in the passenger seat and then walked around to the driverâs side.
Cherry, still standing outside the car, didnât plan to get in. âStella, call me when you get home! Iâm so glad youâre safe!â she said, relieved.
âCherry, get in the car! Tristan will drop you off!â Stella urged. She couldnât let Cherry go back alone, especially with Andrewâs men still lurking around.
Cherry hesitated, feeling awkward. She glanced at Tristan, sensing the strange tension between him and Stella. Dr. Davis had just called Stella his sweetheart, but Stella addressed him as Tristan. Were they siblings?
âGet in the car. Iâll drive you home,â Tristan said calmly, a faint smile in his eyes. To him, Stellaâs friends were his friends too.

Once they were all settled, Stella was about to ask where Cherry lived when Tristan suddenly said, âWeâre going to the hospital first.â
Stella was speechless.
After knowing Tristan for so many years, she already knew he would insist on going to the hospital, even if it was just a minor injury.
âTristan, Iâm fine, really. Itâs not necessary,â Stella tried to protest.
But Tristan remained firm, giving her no room for argument. âYouâre hurt. Weâre going to the hospital.â
Sighing, Stella gave up. Sometimes, this man could be so gentle, and yet, at other times, incredibly stubborn.
As they drove, Stella and Cherry kept talking to ease the awkwardness. Tristan remained mostly silent, adding to the heavy atmosphere.
It wasnât until they were halfway there that Stella remembered something. She turned to Tristan and asked, âBy the way, what were you doing at Starlight Nightclub?â
After all, before she left work, he had been on a video call with her, still spending time with her precious son...
