Chapter 168
Love After Divorce by BELLA
Chapter 168:
The Greenwood Cemetery. Stella followed closely behind RK. After countless steps, RK stopped in front of her. She looked up and saw a man standing a few steps away from her. It was Aden Smith.
She felt a stir of nervousness in her heart, and her feet involuntarily moved toward him. She had not seen Aden for several years. Ever since she divorced RK, she had disappeared from the city. She didnât know if his relationship with RK had eased over the past few years or not.
But other than his appearance, this man seemed to have changed. His charming and bewitching face from the past was now cold.
Every inch of his face was filled with a bone-chilling coldness, which was frightening. Aden, who was in his thirties, had short hair and was wearing a black shirt. His open collar revealed a scar on his collarbone.
Stopping in front of him, she opened her mouth slightly, feeling that her throat was dry. âAden, long time no see?â
The man looked up at her, and in an instant, his expression changed. The look on his face was terrifying, as if he wanted to eat her alive. Only then did she notice that he was looking through her at RK, who was nearby.
âWhat are you doing here? Are you here to die for your sins?â
Aden suddenly ran toward RK as if he had gone mad. He grabbed RKâs collar with his right hand and spoke in an agitated and angry voice.
âAden, donât hit him! Letâs talk peacefully!â
Stella didnât know what was wrong with her. She was worried that RK would get hurt, so she blurted out those words before she could stop herself.
âYou want to talk peacefully?
Donât you know where you are? Alice is my only sister. You may have forgotten about her death, but didnât you? RK, you bloody murderer! I will beat you to death and let you see my sister!â
After saying that, Aden was about to punch RK when he was stopped by a roar. âI will tell you the truth in a month!â
Your source: gílní víls.íí í âDo you think I believe you after so many years? As if I would wait for your so-called truth!â
He hadnât said anything for such a long time, so how could he be willing to say anything now? Aden let him go, turned around, and walked over to Stella. Her eyes were wide, and she was terrified; she couldnât help but take a few steps back.
This damn RK even wanted to have a meal with him. Forget it; Aden almost punched him the moment he saw him. It would be a miracle if they could dine at the same table.
Her salary was very important to her right now. She had no time to talk about the old days with Aden, so she went straight to the point. âAden, since we havenât seen each other for a while, why donât we have a meal together?â
âA meal? With you or with him?â
Aden raised his eyebrows and smiled somewhat playfully.
âAll of us together! What do you think?â She hoped that he would agree. Even if they fought with RK halfway through the meal, it would still be fine.
How could she let a devil-like RK take a monthâs salary for nothing? It was enough for Adrian to have a simple meal.
Ignoring the pleading look in Stellaâs eyes, Aden grabbed her wrist and said coldly, âHe said that he would tell me the truth in a month. You used to be Aliceâs best friend. Tell me now! Why did she kill herself that year? Was it because of RK?â
âAden, she doesnât know anything!â
Stella frowned. Although she had expected Aden to go out of control and attack her, she still couldnât hold herself back.
âYou say that she doesnât know anything, but the two of you are husband and wife. How could she not know?â
Stellaâs face paled in front of Aden. He was about to say something when RK cut him off. âShe is my ex-wife!â Yes, ex-wife. She was his ex-wife. More importantly, she didnât know what happened back then. Like him, RK wouldnât tell her anything.
It seemed that it was true. After so many years, he would rather let her misunderstand that he was the murderer of Alice than explain anything.
Stella wanted to believe that he was the one who indirectly killed Alice; however, she knew that someone like RK wouldnât do something like that.
No matter how bad he was, he would not do it. After being married for three years, this was what she knew best. If she didnât believe him, she would have fought him to the death after Alice died.
âI also want to know if you killed Alice. Back then... did she die because of your decision?â
As soon as she asked this question, Aden let go of her hand. Now he believed it. This woman didnât know anything, just like him.
Both of their eyes were focused on RK. However, RK looked at Stella and said with a smile, âYouâre not the one who should be asking that. Donât forget why you are here today. Whatâs wrong? Do you have so much time on your hands?â
âRK, is it that hard to explain it to us? Do you want Aden to hate you for the rest of his life?â
Aden knew him as she did, so he didnât believe that Alice had killed herself because of his unpleasantness. There must be something behind it. RK wouldnât tell him. Of course, Aden hated him.
