Chapter 169
Love After Divorce by BELLA
Chapter 169:
âIâm going to visit Alice because today is the anniversary of her death. I am leaving now.â
After the man finished speaking, he turned around and was about to leave, but he was suddenly stopped by Stella.
âI know that you killed Alice. So, tell us, why did she kill herself? Was it really because of a failed confession, and did you hurt her with your words?â
âItâs been six years! Do you want me to go crazy again?â The veins on Adenâs forehead were about to burst, but RK turned a blind eye.
In the face of their questioning and anger, the man seemed to revert to a few years ago when the woman had been violent, breaking all the vases in her bedroom. And she killed herself the next day.
The building was so high, yet she jumped silently. She didnât make a phone call to anyone nor did she send a text message. The body fell to the ground, frightening the passersby.
It was only for a moment; RK quickly came to his senses and said calmly, âI will tell you the truth in a month!â
Just like all these years, he gritted his teeth and said nothing. Aden hated him so much that he wanted to say something, but there was nothing he could do about it.
One month, right? If you canât give me an explanation when the time comes, I will drag you back here, kill you in front of Aliceâs grave, and then turn myself in.â
His words made Stella tremble with fear. Aden must have wanted to carry out this plan for a long time. But despite the trust he once had in RK, he couldnât bring himself to do it. He feared he would kill an innocent person.
Therefore, although he hated RK, he had never really done anything to him.
âHmph, do whatever you want.â
RK grabbed Stellaâs hand as if he werenât surprised by Adenâs anger. He looked at the red mark on her wrist and teased her, âArenât you afraid that Adrian will see your hand like this?â
âItâs none of your business! If it werenât for you, would I end up in this situation?â
gⱯlnÏνí®âs.cóm is your escape She was very unlucky. Nothing good ever happened when it came to him. She didnât know what was wrong with him today. He wanted to see Aden; that was fine, but he also dragged her along. That was fine; however, he didnât even want to explain to Aden what had happened back then.
She knew it; she couldnât understand this man.
âItâs interesting that both of you can still be in the same room together. Did you rekindle your marriage?â
Aden asked casually, but he didnât expect an answer at the same time.
âAs if I would marry him again!â
The former was furious and eager to have nothing to do with him, but later he appeared indifferent, looking like he was watching a show.
âLook, thatâs true; you already have a fiancée. How can you get married again?â
Aden threw these words and looked at RK mockingly. Just as he was about to leave, there was a sound of thunder in the clear sky. With the ear-piercing sound of thunder, the entire sky suddenly darkened.
Suddenly, it began to rain heavily. Stella was so angry that she cursed, âI am just so unlucky today! RK, if I catch a cold, I wonât even be able to hold my son when I get back home.â
If she caught a cold, Adrian would get worried.
The resentful woman looked at the man in front of her. Before she could scold him again, the man suddenly put her on his shoulder and said with a hearty laugh, âWe have a car. We just have to rush into the car. What are you afraid of?â
With a smack, Stellaâs dignity was slapped aside. She was so angry that her face turned red. âRK, you hooligan! Put me down! I can walk by myself! Donât take advantage of me!â
âYou havenât finished your task today. Donât you still want your salary this month?â
âItâs impossible! You deliberately made things difficult for me, RK, you bastard!â
âIf I help you with it, can I have a meal with Adrian?â
The manâs words, mixed with the cracking of thunder, fell into Stellaâs ears. She suddenly felt confused. Could it be that he was beating around the bush and involving Aden just for that? Was this his true goal?
Her struggle was futile, so she didnât move again and let him carry her on his back. He walked very fast and carried her without any difficulty. After a while, he put her down in front of the car. She didnât say anything, pretending that she didnât hear what he had just said.
Both of them were drenched in the rain. Since it was raining heavily all of a sudden, RK walked in a hurry. His black suit was covered with mud, his hair was soaked from the rain, and they were stuck together.
He looked very pitiful. She opened the door and sat in the passenger seat. Before she could speak, a clean towel was thrown at her. âClean yourself with this.â
It was just an ordinary sentence, but it easily stimulated her feelings. She was inexplicably moved, but when she accidentally saw the corner of the manâs mouth, following his gaze, she saw Aden standing on the side of the road, drenched in rain.
He was soaked through and looked much more pitiful than the two of them.
âRK, donât tell me he didnât drive here?â
âHe has a habit. On the day of Aliceâs death, he stays here until eleven oâclock at night. His drivers always bring him here and pick him up at night. Well, he was unlucky that day.â
Thinking of this, Stella suddenly realized something. She quickly turned toward him and asked, âDid you plan this? You knew it was going to rain, so you wanted to try your luck. As long as he gets in your car, you would have no problems getting him to have a meal with you, right?â
