Chapter 184
Love After Divorce by BELLA
Chapter 184:
âI wonder if Mr. Hett knows that you are dining at the same table,â RK said, provoking Rubyâs anger. She immediately stood up.
He hadnât changed at all; he still targeted her in the spot where he knew she would be most hurt.
âOkay, letâs order,â Logan said lightly, though he was worried about Ruby in his heart. It seemed that he was right; it had been so long, but she still couldnât let go of this person.
Ruby finished her sentence. When she was ordering, Stella felt awkward. Why had she been so unlucky recently? First, it was Aden, and now it was the two of them. It seemed like everyone she knew in the past was going to walk around in front of her.
She always felt that something was going to happen.
With that bad feeling, she looked up at RK. Her eyes met his, but she couldnât say a word.
RK, on the other hand, completely ignored Ruby and didnât seem to acknowledge her at all. He opened his mouth and said, âStella, listen to me. You are too thin in my company. I donât want people like you, who are malnourished and underweight. Donât think about losing weight.â
She was speechless. He didnât feel embarrassed to say that in front of others, as if she had a close relationship with him.
Before she could answer, she felt that the man was unpredictable. She had never been able to guess what he was thinking.
However, she didnât dare to take his words as concern for her. She was afraid that she would fall for it.
âMr. Kingston, you guys go ahead and eat. I still want to eat fish. Iâm going to have my meal next door.â She couldnât stay any longer; she hated that kind of ambiguous feeling.
Seeing that she was about to leave, RK swallowed the words that were about to come out of his mouth. As expected, she hated eating with him, and she was unwilling to talk with him.
Was Tristan that good?
He didnât realize his feelings for her at all. When the sirloin steak was served, his expression was cold, gradually becoming more and more ugly.
âRene, whatâs wrong with you? Are you in a bad mood because Stella left? To be honest, isnât Sophia your fiancée? Although Stella is your ex-wife, you had better not get too close to her. Itâs easy for women to get jealous. You had better control yourself!â

âI donât need strangers to meddle in my business,â RKâs words were enough to shut her up.
A bolt of lightning struck Rubyâs heart like a bolt out of the blue, causing the corners of her mouth to twitch. She forced a smile and said, âIâm just a stranger. RK, you really know how to talk. Iâm happy to see you like this today.
I have something else to attend to, so Iâm taking my leave first.â
Before leaving, she paid the bill at the front desk. Since they were strangers, they should go their separate ways. Logan followed her. When he left, he gave RK a meaningful look with a deep frown.
After so many years, RK could still affect Rubyâs emotions.
He didnât know why RK was so popular with women.
After they left, RK finished his steak quietly and went to find Stella. Sure enough, he saw her sitting in the fish restaurant next door, eating spicy and sour fish with rice noodles.
There were quite a few people in the restaurant. If RK had entered a minute later, he wouldnât have been able to get in. Looking at the president sitting opposite her, Stella took a sip of soup, narrowed her eyes, and asked with a sneer, âWhy did you leave your two old friends and come here? Is there something in the company you want to tell me?â
âHow much is it? Is it delicious?â
âItâs none of your business, RK. This is my current spending ability. Iâm not a young rich lady anymore, and I still have to raise my son.
I still need to afford my rent and daily living expenses. I have to save some money each month. Youâre the one who can eat steak as long as you want!â
She didnât understand why he kept pestering her.
It wasnât because of love, nor because of hatred.
Or was he bored?
No matter what the reason was, she simply didnât want to see him. After finishing the last mouthful of rice noodles, Stella ignored her image, picked up the bowl, and began to drink the soup.
Looking at her indecent way of eating, RK was surprised to find that the rice noodles in that restaurant were delicious.
âStella, Adrian is also my son. Do you really want to give us a chance to eat at the same table? He needs a father. Itâs not enough to only have maternal love. He is still young!â
The sudden change of topic caught Stella off guard. Why was he talking about Adrian again?
Seeing her frown, RK didnât stop. âI also want Alia to apologize to Adrian. If the children eat together, their relationship might improve. You donât want the two children to hurt each other when they meet in kindergarten in the future.â
His daughter had such a bad temper. Apologize? Forget it. She didnât expect that at all. She felt like she was listening to a fantasy.
âStella Richard, you know very well that no matter whether we lose or win the custody case, I will still have the right to see my child in the end.â
His tone was not as good as it had been a moment ago. He even called her by her full name.
âJust once. If your daughter makes trouble again, I wonât stand on ceremony!â
âDo you agree to a meal together?â
