Chapter 259
Love After Divorce by BELLA
Chapter 259:
RK stared at the tightly shut door, feeling as though he was trying to save the world. Telling Sophia the truth had been the best way to free her from false hopes. He hoped that she would take time to reflect on everything.
However, whether it was Sophiaâs mention of her dream about him and Stella getting married again, or his own thoughts, that night RK found himself dreaming of that very scenario. In his dream, he and Stella were married, Alia adored her new mother, and Adrian fit in perfectly with the Kingston family.
The four of them went on a family trip, hand in hand, with Alia and Adrian between them. They stood out wherever they went, turning heads with their happiness. Stella was no longer thin but had gained a healthy amount of weight.
Her face was fuller, and she was constantly smiling, showing none of the sorrow and desperation that had once haunted her. RK felt a strange comfort when he pinched her soft, chubby cheeks. There were no arguments, no tensionâjust pure joy.
In the dream, RK felt truly happy. Every day after work, all he thought about was picking up Alia and Adrian with Stella, helping them with their homework, cooking meals together, and watching TV as a family. At night, heâd wake up to check on the children, gently pulling the blankets back over them when they kicked them off.
Years passed in the dream. Adrian and Alia grew up and went abroad to study. Alia blossomed into a beautiful woman, and Adrian was as handsome as his father. RK and Stella traveled the world together, helping those in need wherever they could.
Eventually, they grew old and passed away peacefully, side by side.
When RK woke up, he found a tear rolling down his face. The dream had felt so real, and he could vividly recall every detail:
Adrianâs mischief, Aliaâs affectionate nature, Stellaâs laughter, and even the softness of her skin beneath his fingers. It all felt too genuine to have been a dream.
He smiled to himself. It was such a childish dream. How absurd that he was fighting with Stella over custody of Adrian, yet here he was, dreaming of such a future. The strangest part was that the female lead in his dream had been Stella, not Sophia. It left him feeling speechless.
RK realized he needed to avoid seeing Adrian for a while. Otherwise, the dream might continue to haunt him.
He buried himself in work for the next few days, giving Stella some peace. Alia continued to visit Adrian regularly, and the two children played as if they had descended into chaos.
Toys were scattered everywhere, and their shouts and laughter filled the entire hospital room. If there had been other patients in the ward, the noise surely would have led to complaints.
One day, as Alia and Adrian were in the middle of a particularly boisterous play session, Tristan arrived to visit Adrian. The little boy was so engrossed in his fun that he simply greeted Tristan with a quick âUncle Tristanâ before returning to his games. Tristan couldnât help but smile, unsure whether to feel amused or neglected.

Noticing Tristanâs expression, she approached him and said, âTheyâve been inseparable lately. They wonât stop playing. If the Kingston family driver doesnât call RK, thereâs no way to get Alia to leave.â
Tristan chuckled softly. âTheyâre kids. Itâs rare for them to find a good playmate. Itâs understandable theyâd be a bit lively.â
âI just hope once Adrian recovers, Iâll know where all this mischievous energy of his is going to go,â Stella said with a sigh.
âRaising a child is never easy, especially in the early years. But after they reach a certain age, it gets better,â Tristan reassured her. âEveryone goes through it. I remember making plenty of mistakes when I was a child too.â
âWell, you were just a kid,â Stella replied, though she didnât really want to discuss her past with the Richard family. âI just hope Adrian doesnât have to endure as much trouble as I did when he grows up.â
Tristan nodded, understanding her sentiment. Stella had suffered so much, and she simply wanted to spare Adrian from the same kind of pain.
Children were precious, and even RK must understand that truth. If Tristan had been home all those years ago, he never would have agreed to let Stella marry into the Kingston family in Sophiaâs place.
Who could have foreseen how things would turn out?
If Tristan had been able to stand up to his mother and Sophia back then, Stella wouldnât have been forced into that disastrous marriage. She wouldnât have suffered like this. Now, Tristan was determined to make up for his past mistakes. As long as Stella was willing, he would help raise Adrian with her.
No matter how difficult it would be, Tristan was fearless. Nothing could stop himânot ten thousand obstacles, nor anyone elseâs opinions. He would never ignore Stellaâs wishes.
His true concern was her happiness and peace of mind.
