Chapter 298
Love After Divorce by BELLA
Chapter 298:
RK had always been popular, especially during his school and college years. Of course, Stella had never witnessed his popularity firsthand, but she had heard stories from Aden and other friends.
Back in high school, RK didnât need to bring his own lunch. Girls would shower him with pastries, chocolates, and other gifts.
There was even a time when the entrance to his classroom became so crowded with admirers that the teacher had to come out to clear the way.
On one occasion, the principal made an announcement during an assembly: âAttention, all female students, please refrain from gathering at the door of Class 10 during breaks. Those wishing to send love letters or chocolates, please do so after school. Do not disturb other studentsâ studies and rest.
Girls in middle school should be reserved. A crush is not a crush if you confess it! You must be careful with your confessions, and refrain from saying things like âI love youâ or âI like you.â Your duty is to study!â
This speech became legendary at the school, and RKâs âprincelyâ temperament only grew because of the constant attention.
Later, when Stella heard Aden recount the story, she nearly spat out the orange juice she was drinking. The thought of it was just too shocking.
But nothing could have prepared her for the most terrifying moment, which happened six months after she and RK got married.
They had agreed to have lunch together one day. Stella called him at noon to say sheâd wait for him in his lounge at the office, and once he finished work, theyâd go out to eat.
After the incident where she had brought RK medicine to his company, everyone knew of her, so she was able to walk into the company without being stopped. However, just before she entered the elevator, a male colleague approached her, looking nervous but gentlemanly.
âExcuse me, may I ask... are you the presidentâs wife?â the man asked, his face flushed red, clearly embarrassed.
Stella blinked, confused by the strange question. âYes, I am. Why do you ask?â
The man looked even more flustered, stammering as he tried to explain. âI... Iâm sorry, madam. Iâve made a terrible mistake, and Iâve been struggling with it for a long time. But I canât hide it anymore. I have to tell you the truth.â
Your next story is here gⱯlnÏνels.com Stella was even more puzzled. âA mistake? What kind of mistake?â
âIâm deeply in love with the president... I know itâs wrong, but I canât help it!â the man confessed, his face turning even redder.
âEver since the president led that meeting, Iâve been completely captivated by him. Please, forgive me! I know itâs wrong, but I wonât give up!â
Stella stood there, completely dumbfounded. It felt like her entire worldview had just collapsed. Her male colleague was confessing his undying love for her husband, RK!
âIâm so sorry, but my love for the president is real. I promise I wonât get in your way, but I canât change how I feel!â the man continued, his words leaving Stella feeling as though she were in some strange soap opera.
At that moment, Stella felt as if she were sharing her husband with everyone else, like a jealous concubine bullying someoneâs innocent and pure lover.
âSister, Iâm sorry, but I love the president sincerely,â he added.
That was the end of the conversation.
Stella didnât even know how she made it into the elevator. She was in such a daze, feeling as though she had been struck by lightning. As she walked away, she could hear her colleagues laughing. While she knew they werenât laughing at her, she still felt uneasy.
The only thing she managed to say in response to the whole bizarre encounter was, âHave you confessed to RK?â It seemed like she had either shattered the manâs fantasy or encouraged him.
When she finally made it to RKâs office, he was still buried in paperwork. He motioned for her to wait in the lounge while he finished up. Stella, still shaken, sat down and waited.
Once RK was done and joined her in the lounge, he sat beside her, noticing her distracted expression.
âAre you alright?â RK asked, his brows furrowing slightly.
Stella snapped out of her thoughts. âYes, Iâm fine. Letâs go.â
But as she walked out of the office with RK, she couldnât help but chuckle at the absurdity of what had just happened.
RK, noticing something was off, raised an eyebrow as they stepped into the elevator. âWhatâs so funny?â
âNothing,â Stella replied, trying to stifle her laughter.
RK remained suspicious. As they headed to the restaurant, he called Alex, his assistant. âFind out what happened before Stella arrived at my office earlier. Report back to me in detail.â
He hung up and drove them to the restaurant for their lunch date.
