Chapter 327
Love After Divorce by BELLA
Chapter 327:
RK sat by the bed, looking as if he hadnât slept the whole night. When he saw that Stella had woken up, the first thing he did was rub his eyes and take a closer look at her.
âHey, do you think itâs an illusion?â Stellaâs voice was weak.
âYeah.â RKâs voice was muffled, as if he had suffered a great grievance.
Stella didnât have the strength to bicker with RK, so she closed her eyes weakly.
Alas... it hurts!
RK didnât dare to disturb her. He knew that she was in pain, so he remained quiet and tried his best to get her to eat some light foods that could aid in her recovery.
Stella fell asleep again.
In her sleep, Stella still felt a great deal of pain. She felt dizzy and woke up repeatedly. She didnât know how long she had slept.
When she finally awoke again, it was raining outside.
She had always liked the rain in the north. The rain fell over red lanterns and dark tiles, washing them repeatedly. The blue stone slabs were wet and washed clean by the rain. She enjoyed standing under the eaves, watching the rain fall into puddles, spending quiet time alone.
However, right now, she was wasting her time in that annoying hospital. The injury was wearing down her will. She felt dizzy and didnât know what to do. She thought this kind of life was almost over. However, she hadnât expected to return to the hospital overnight. The situation was not as good as when she was in a coma.
Alas, things were unpredictable and unexpected.
When Stella woke up again, it was late in the afternoon and almost dark. RK was not there. She guessed that he might have gone to buy some food. She moved her body slightly, and the dull pain immediately surged.
âOh my God, it hurts.â Stella, in pain, did not dare to move again. She was afraid that her wound would be affected once more.
She wiggled gently and tried to reach for the laptop on the table.
Damn it, why was the table so far from the bed? How could a patient reach for something? She was very frustrated! To be honest, the table was right next to the hospital bed. It was very close, but she was lying on her stomach, and her arm was too short to reach it.

Something was wrong with her. She had been lying on her stomach for the past few months, probably having no other position except this one.
Alas, she was so angry and sad. She felt deserted, desolate, and miserable... Stella was in a state of grief and indignation when RK returned after buying dinner.
To be honest, RKâs heart had endured a lot throughout the day. Everything had been developing smoothly, but to his surprise, Stella had fallen to the ground after he left for a while.
It was the first time in Mr. Kingstonâs life that he had felt such guilt since childhood. Facing Stellaâs slightly distorted face, he couldnât help but sweat as he watched her sleep. His heart hurt as if it had been twisted. Every time he wanted to protect her, he ended up hurting her.
âYou are awake?â RK didnât notice that his tone was extremely gentle and caring. Even Stella was surprised. âItâs time to eat. Can you look up a little?â
Stella thought RK would scold her. She braced herself for a reprimand, but instead of blaming her, he treated her even better.
She was so surprised that she raised her head to look at him.
It didnât hurt much when she looked up. She just kept raising her head, though her neck felt sore.
RK seemed to have noticed this as well, so he told Stella to lie on her stomach obediently. He took out a spoon and placed some rice on it to feed her one spoonful at a time, which made Stella feel very uncomfortable.
âI am sorry...â Stella was eating when RK suddenly blurted out those words. She was so surprised that she almost spat out her food.
âI shouldnât have left you alone in the ward for so long. Itâs my fault. I failed to live up to your uncleâs trust!â
RKâs sudden remarks confused Stella, but she also felt that he had done nothing wrong. It was clear that she should have just been lying on her stomach and not moving around.
However, she had still gotten out of bed, just to move the flowers. It was clear that it was her fault. Why was RK apologizing to her? âThis has nothing to do with you... Whatâs wrong with buying dinner? I was so naughty that I had to get out of bed. Logically, you should scold me. Why are you apologizing?â
Stella laughed because she didnât understand why RK felt so guilty.
âItâs my fault.â RK insisted on believing it was his fault. Stella couldnât correct him, so she just let him be.
âStella, donât get out of bed again without my permission next time. Do you hear me?â RK regained his imposing manner, wanting to teach her a lesson. Hearing that, Stella felt inexplicably pleased.
It wasnât easy for Stella to finish her dinner. She lay on the bed and let the food digest for a while. Her mind was a mess.
