Chapter 384
Love After Divorce by BELLA
Chapter 384:
âHey, guess who I am?â Carson said deliberately in a low voice, making Violet want to kick him.
âBesides Carson, who else would be so twisted?â Violet replied disdainfully, though the corners of her mouth unconsciously curled into a smile.
âYou are right!â Carson completely ignored Violetâs other remarks, his tone full of excitement. âMiss Bryant, guess where I am.â
Violet could imagine the expression on Carsonâs face through the phone. She replied with mock disdain, âWhere are you?â
âYou can see me when you open the window,â Carson said, looking up at the window of Violetâs room.
Violet walked to the window with a suspicious expression and looked down. Sure enough, she saw Carsonâs car parked below.
Carson waited for a moment until he saw Violetâs face reappear at the window after two days apart. He smiled sincerely.
Then, he noticed that her head quickly withdrew from the window.
Huh? Where did that girl go?
After a while, Carson saw the lights in the corridor turn on one after another. The sound of Violetâs footsteps as she came downstairs grew closer, and at last, her petite figure appeared in his sight.
âWhy are you back?â Violet asked, breathless from her hasty descent.
âWhat? Are you unhappy that Iâm back?â Carson laughed. âItâs so late. Why havenât you slept yet? Could it be that youâre hiding someone in your house?â
âGet lost.â Violet rolled her eyes. âI was playing a game in bed. I was just about to clear a level when you called.â Carson laughed but didnât respond further.
LÉtÑst cнαptÑrs ιn gí¶lnovÑls.í¸íí âHey, thatâs not right. Itâs late. Shouldnât you go home first? What are you doing at my house? Youâre a man, so you canât stay here!â Violet said with a mock-serious expression.
âIâm trying to be romantic, but you donât appreciate it.â Carson snorted. âIsnât it because I miss...â
The last word, âyou,â got caught in his throat, and he couldnât finish.
âYouâre asking for a beating, arenât you? Haha.â Violet giggled innocently.
What was not romantic? Was it really appropriate for a girl to be so careless?
âNo, the rogue is going to sleep in your house tonight.â Carson simply competed with Violet, eager to see who would give in first.
Violet angrily smacked Carsonâs arm, causing him to howl like a pig being slaughtered.
âAh... It hurts...â
âAh? Whatâs wrong? Am I so strong?â Violet teased as she took off his suit jacket and looked him over. Only then did she notice that Carson was injured.
âWhy? Do you still want to harass me? Iâm an extremely strong man!â Carson laughed foolishly.
âWhatâs wrong with you? Donât tell me you fell in the bathroom?â Violet frowned. âI just said you donât have a brain. How could you fall in the bathroom and end up like this?â
Before he could explain how he fell, she had already chastised him. But that was a good thing; he could ask her to take care of him openly, hahaha...
Carson was still giggling when Violet pulled him into her home. He was extremely satisfied.
After returning home, Violet quickly lifted Carsonâs arm and examined it. Before he had time to take in his surroundings, she forced him to sit down.
âItâs okay; itâs just a contusion. The bone isnât damaged. It should recover soon.â After her examination, Violet breathed a sigh of relief.
âHey, how do you know? Thatâs what the doctor said when he checked me.â
âOf course, my previous...â Violet suddenly stopped, realizing she might accidentally say âboyfriend.â She decisively shut her mouth.
Since she had decided to forget him, she should not remember anything about him.
âWhat?â Carson asked, curious.
âNo, I was just going to say that Iâve also been injured like this before. Thatâs what the doctor told me back then, so I have an impression of it.â
Carson nodded, but his instincts told him that she had something else on her mind.
âHey, by the way, you said you were playing a game. What kind of game were you playing?â
âOh yes, my game.â Violet quickly ran into the bedroom, jumped onto her bed, and grabbed her tablet. Then she trotted back out and handed it to Carson. âI died.â
When Carson opened it, he couldnât help but break out in a cold sweat. It turned out that the game she was talking about was Temple Run... What was there to be proud of...?
âTemple Run...â Carson was speechless, and the corner of his mouth twitched.
âHey, donât look down on Temple Run. This game is very interesting. Youâre an amateur, so you donât understand what us masters have experienced.â Violet patted her chest proudly. When Carson got an extremely high score, Violet felt like she wanted to bite off her tongue.
âF*ck, can I take back my words? This guyâs gaming skills are impressive. Why didnât anyone tell me in advance?â she complained to herself.
