Chapter 59
Love After Divorce by BELLA
Chapter 59:.
Stella sat off to the side, self-absorbed as she stared at RK. The man next to her spoke again, snapping her out of her daze. This time, Stella obediently handed him the wine. Since RK had the cards in his hand and was playing with the others, she had no choice but to pour him the glass of wine.
To an outsider, it might seem that Stella was no different from the other women who served the men in the room.
Rene, your little secretary is very obedient. She was a little cranky just now. I guess we misjudged you, hahaha...â.
With that, the group started stirring things up again. Everyone was talking as if something was going on between Stella and RK.
Stella just sat awkwardly next to him, knowing that trying to explain herself again would be futile.
If they wanted to think so, so be it! Why did they make it sound like she was RKâs little girlfriend? Stella remained silent.
Likewise, the man sitting next to her said nothing in response to the rumors, which only fueled the crowdâs excitement. âGuys, my wife is calling me. I have to take it. Somebody come and take over for me.â The man sitting next to RK suddenly spoke up.
He laid his cards on the table and walked away with his phone, not bothering to look for someone to play in his place.
Seeing this, James immediately shouted after him, âHey Kevin, who are you leaving as a patsy?â.
Without Kevin, there was now one person at the table and the game could not continue. For a moment, everyone put down their cards and began to complain. âDamn, what kind of man is he? He runs off as soon as his wife calls him. If heâs so afraid of her, why did he bother coming to fool around at the club?â
James threw his cards on the table, refusing to play. The others replied, âThatâs Kevin. Heâs terrified of his wife. I hear sheâs very strict with him. If heâs late, she wonât even let him in the house.â
Whatâs the use of letting himself be pushed around by such a woman? If I were him, Iâd have thrown her out of the house long ago â did he think it was she who had brought him into the marital home?â
âHey, James, youâre wrong! Kevin isnât doing all this because heâs afraid of his wife; itâs because he loves her very much!â. Stella, who was sitting next to him, could understand what was going on!
What kind of man was he? What kind of friends did he have? No wonder the man sitting next to him was so domineering; he was just like Santiago, a living model of that attitude!
LÎÏÑÑÏ chαÏÏÑrs ιn gíªlíovÑlí.í°ííº With Kevin gone, there was no one to take his empty place at the table. Almost all of the men in the private room were accompanied by a young woman from the Starlight nightclub.
Of course, except for Kevin and RK, all the other men were accompanied by women. Now that Kevin had left and no one was going to take his place, the game was at a stalemate.
No one wanted to spoil the fun, but no one wanted to lose money either. Finally, everyoneâs eyes fell on Stella. âHey, René, why donât you ask your secretary to come play with us?â
