Chapter 25.

I pulled my suitcase into the old apartment building , memories of me and Calum flashing back. I know Calum had previously told me he had brought us a house to live in but I'm just glad I hadn't sold this apartment yet otherwise I would be stuck. Calum can keep his house with that blonde bitch for all I care. Ashton offered to take me inside and cook me some food and stuff but I told him I just wanted to be alone for now and i'd call him later.

''Noooo!'' I squealed as the doors to the elevator nearly closed , a hand came out and stopped the doors from closing. The brunette haired male I have never seen before in this building stepped back pressing the 3rd floor button.

''What floor are you going to?'' he asked his British accent making it clear he isn't from around here.

''Three as well... Thanks for holding the elevator open '' I smiled back

''No problem. Do you live here, it's Just i've never seen you here before?'' he asks

''Yes i do actually , I've never seen you either.''

''I'm fairly new , I arrived two weeks ago.''

''Oh right. I've been away.''

''Ah have you been anywhere nice?''

''America. My husbands...-'' I stopped myself my breath getting caught in my throat , I don't know what to call Calum anymore.

''Go on.''

''It's... Complicated.''

The doors opened , the man picked up my suitcase and before I could complain he gestured to where he should go I gave him a polite smile and pointed to the door.

''Thank you...'' I realized i hadn't even got his name yet.

''...Logan , my names Logan.'' he said holding out his hand , I took his hand shaking it.

''I'm Rebecca.''

''Well Rebecca looks like we're new neighbours.'' he smiled , his smile was beautiful but nothing compared to Calums.

''Looks like we are.'' I smiled back.

''Do you want to come in for some Coffee?''

''I think I'm just going to get sorted out first'' I replied I wanted time alone.

''Sorry,That's a bit forward you've just met me.''

''Its fine.''

''Well I'll see you around neighbour.'' he smiled again , walking towards his door.

''You too.'' I smiled closing the door behind me.

I turned around looking at the empty apartment and let out a sigh dropping my handbag on the floor. It was quiet , too quiet maybe I don't want to be alone right now... I opened the door again and caught Logan opening his door.

''Logan...''

''Yeah?''

''Is it too late to change my mind?''

''Not at all.'' he chuckled

"So tell me... Why is there a beautiful pregnant girl sitting in my apartment drinking tea with me.''

''Complicated.'' I laughed , taking a sip of the tea.

''Like you said but I ve got all night.'' he smiled folding his arms.

''Get comfy this is going to be a long story.'' I laughed. After I told him the story I got a bit emotional and had a cry

''Sorry. I'm not normally like this. Must be my hormones.''

''Rebecca. You've been through a hell of a lot ; Its okay to cry..''

''Thank you. So tell me about yourself. Why are you here and not in England?''

''My mother she died.''

''Oh I'm sorry I didn't mean to-''

''It was two years ago... Cancer. My father left me when I was a young boy , My fiance cheated on me , I lost my job. I had nothing there anymore. I figured i'd start a new life somewhere. Why not on the other side of the world I thought?.'

''Wow my story sounds like nothing compared to yours.''

''Its not all bad. I found out I have an aunt over in Adalaide.''

Calum P.O.V

Its been two weeks. I've had time to go over things in my head , certain aspects of my life. The morning i found out Rebecca had gone a part of me wanted to jump on a plane and follow her. Plead her to take me back but I know that she would never forgive the mistakes I have made. She needed time , and i'm willing to give it to her.

I walk up the stairs to the apartment and knock on the door. I hear voices inside but I don't think nothing of it. A young tall male opens the door he's smiling then his smile fades as he looks towards me.

''Um sorry I must of god the wrong apartment.'' I say slowly

''Logan who is it?'' I hear her voice still soft and gentle like how I remember it. I see her peer around the male , 'logan' shuffles back a little. She steps in front of him her eyes scanning me.

''C...Calum?'' she whispers under her breath.

''I'm going to give you guys some time to talk. Give me a shout if you need me.'' logan says giving her a gentle hug then nodding at me awkwardly and pushing past.

''Come... Come in.'' she says moving out the way. I take a seat on the sofa and intertwine my hands together.

Rebecca P.O.V

''That does not look right.'' I laughed at Logan who was trying to put a stroller i brought together.

''Come on it looks great.''

''Really Logan? Its not even standing right. ''

''Look its fine.'' Logan exclaimed pushing the stroller it automatically fell over.

''Oh yeah so safe.'' I joked punching him on the arm

''HEY! It's not my fault you brought a dodgy stroller.''

''I did not you're the one who forgot to add a wheel.'' I laughed

''I thought it was a spare.'' he said , we both started laughing.

''I'll make us some coffee.'' I said

''TEA FOR ME!!.''

''You're so British.'' I rolled my eyes making my way to the kitchen , There was a knock on the door and I yelled out for Logan to get it.

''Who is it ... '' I said walking out of the kitchen and towards the door. My heart stopped and my hands unclasped the cups I was holding. I gasped stepping back as the cups hit the floor sending the hot substances everywhere.

''C- Calum..''

''I'll... Let me clean that up then I'll leave you two to talk.'' Logan said , afterwards he gave me a hug and left the apartment. Whispering into my ear 'Call me if you want me.'

''You've moved on fast then.'' Calum said. he wasn't being serious was he? does he really think that low of me.

''What? No Logans a new neighbour, he's been helping me out. - He's taken me to scans , helped me set up stuff like strollers.''

''So he's done all the things i've failed you on.''

''I think we both know whos fault that is Calum.'' I say as I shift my eyes to look st anything but his face.

''Do not turn this on me Becky when you've been playing happy families here while i've been gone'' he says. the slur on his voice makes me feel uneasy I can't believe he turned up like this.

''You've been drinking?''

''No I haven't...''

''Calum I can smell the scotch from here... you disguist me.''

''What?''

''Leave.''

''No It's my h-''

''Calum I do not give a damn , Get out LEAVE!''

''NO Rebecca. This is my apartment I brought it as well. I pay half the bills so this is half mine. .''

''No Calum this is my apartment you have your house in LA now get out get out get out!!''

''WELL I NEED MY STUFF FIRST.'' He yelled getting up and walking towards the bedroom.

''Where is my stuff?''

''I put it in storage... I didn't think you would be back''

''What about all this... this is mine.''

''What?''

''I paid for this and that.'' Calum began throwing things around the room.

''Calum stop.''

''Oh don't forget this one... you know I brought you majority of this shall I just take it with me?''

''STOP!''

'NO BECKY WE ARE NO LONGER TOGETHER SO YOU CANNOT TELL ME WHAT TO DO ANYMORE!!' YOU CAN NO LONGER BE IN CONTROL OF ME OR MY ACTIONS' He yelled I backed myself towards the wall."-YOU KNOW HOW DO I EVEN KNOW THESE KIDS ARE MINE... YOU'RE PROBABLY JUST AFTER MY FUCKING MONEY. YOU PROBABLY SLEPT WITH THAT LOGAN KID THE NIGHT I LEFT FOR AMERICA.''

''Calum stop it please.'' I reached for my phone on the dressing table clicking Ashtons name and letting the phone ring.

''SHUT UP.'' He yelled his fist came in contact with the wall next to my head, The impact making my eyes close , my heart race and my body to sink down to sit on the floor.

Calum stepped back and looked around the room. He sat himself on the bed his head in his hands , i took this as a opportunity to hide. I know Calum would never hurt me but I had to think of two others in this situation and decided to remove myself from any danger. I lunged forward into the bathroom locking the door.

I heard more cursing ,yelling and things being thrown around , I knew Calum was going mental out there and i was powerless to stop him. I just had hopes Ashton had picked up the phone and heard what was going on. I had hope he was on his way , For a moment it went silent a knock was placed on the door.

''Rebecca... I'm sorry.'' he spoke

I heard more voices approach ... two voices both angry. One soft and British the other strong and Austrian. Ashton and Logan...

I am thinking of doing a new story a Luke Hemmings one called Close as Strangers. Now I have really good ideas and a storyline for it but it may cause updates of my other stories to slow down. (This book will become first because this is a priority to finish) But other stories such as the spin off Amnesia might be held back as well as my other stories like Save me and punk meets perfect. I've made the trailer to help you decide if I should go ahead with this also if you will read it. As there is no point making a story and putting all my time into it if nobody is interested.
