Chapter 39

I open my eyes and the first thing I register is the pounding ache in the back of my skull. Next comes the dry mouth, sore back, cramped feet, and the all over discomfort in my body. I haven't drunk like that in awhile and partying hasnt been on the agender since the kids were born apart from my birthday night... lets not remember that though.

After staying in bed for a few more minutes, I decided to get up and make myself some breakfast, maybe make some for him too. I quietly placed my feet on the ground and started to sit up when I felt Calum's strong arm wrap around my front and bring me back flat against his naked chest.

"Don't leave me just yet" he whispered, eyes still closed. I turned around in his arms and placed my head only centimeters away from his on the pillow, studying his face from here.

"That's really creepy" he said after a few moments, a smile on his lips as he started to open his eyes.

I laughed softly and placed a kiss on his nose, a hand resting on his cheek. He unexpectedly put his hand behind my neck and brought my lips back to his. It started off pretty slow and lazy but soon felt my boyfriend's tongue graze over my bottom lip. I gladly parted them as his hands started to trail down my side to the hem of the oversized 'black t-shirt of his I slept in.

''Thank you for last night. Even though I can't remember half of it.'' he said as our lips parted from one another.

''Its okay. Yeah you were drunk off your ass.'' I laughed ,Calum grabbed one of my legs and placed it over his waist, so that I were now straddling him.

"I just can't get enough of you" he let out in a whisper, barely audible.

''-Even though I was drunk Becky I did mean it when I said I want you again.'' He smirked as I pulled back away from him blushing and hitting him in the face with a pilow.

''Its too early for this Calum I have a headache.'' I whined as he laughed with a handful of pillow in his mouth. He threw the pillow away smiling down at me and twirling a strand of my hair , before adding 'I know a way to get rid of that.'

For the first time of the day, he fully opened his eyes, staring at my chest for a moment before trailing his eyes down my body to my thighs where both his hands were now resting. "I'm a lucky, lucky man" he commented, trailing his fingers up my leg before placing his hand on my butt.

"Are you?" I asked as I started to grind down on him, both my hands on his chest.

"Hmm..." he shakily let out.

"Calum" I moaned, grinding harder, desperate to release some of the tension.

"Come on, babe... I just ... " he trailed , just as I was about to give in there was a knock at the door.

''Fuck!'' He groaned , I smiled pecking him on the lips then throwing Calums t-shirt back on and a cover up then walking towards the front door.

Somehow we had ended up at Ashtons house. We as in me and the kids , since Calum was already there in his studio recording and he insisted I came over. I pulled up the car outside the estate and Ashton met me to help me with the twins.

''Hey.'' He smiled giving me a gentle hug before I handed Rosalie to him.

''Hi Ash.'' I returned the smile then getting James and the bags out then locking the car door.

''Are you sure its okay for me to bring them here , I don't want to distract you guys?'' I asked nervously walking towards the back of the house where the studio was.

''Yeah its totatly cool , you're my sister. Its just a rehearsal anyway.'' Ashton reassured me. I said hello to everyone and took a seat on one of the sofas placing the twins next to me and scattering a few of their toys around them.

I watched Calum who was recording and hadn't notice my arrival. He was so concentrated his eyes squeezed shut as he sung his heart out , something I loved about him. He was told to stop and go over one part of the lyrics once more then it would be perfect. Calum opening his eyes to listen he saw me in the background a smile breaking out on his face.

''I know you want to smooch her face off but come on Calum 3...2...1'' John laughed as Calum started singing again. When he was finished he ran out running up to the kids and kissing them before kissing me as well.

''You look lovely.'' he smiled taking a seat next to me and slinging him arm around my shoulders , pecking me on the side of the head.

After awhile Calum had to go tune in his bass for another song recording. I had always loved watching Cal play guitar, he was so good. Calum was currently on the lounge chair playing his guitar while I laid on the other lounge just watching.

"Babe, stop staring you're making me nervous." he chuckled not looking up from his guitar.

"I'm sorry but you just look really good." I said sweetly, he suddenly stood up and came over to me.

"Sit up." He said, I did as he said. He handed me his guitar. "Calum what are you doing?"

"Well I'm bored out of my brains so I was going to teach you some guitar." He said, I smiled. He moved behind me so I was sitting between his thighs. His chest pressed tightly again my back. My heart fluttered in my chest. His arms wrapped around to my front, his hands guiding mine to where I needed to put them.

"So you put your fingers like this... and that's A... Yeah that's it." He said his face next to mine. I blushed as his kissed my cheek.

"Aw Calum... Becky You guys are so cute. Cal why don't you play guitar with me like that?" John joked as he walked into the room.

"Because you're not as sexy and beautiful as her." Calum reasoned, I looked down at mine and Calum's hands together.

"Sorry to interrupt but me and Luke are going out for lunch, and we were wondering if you wanted to come." Michael offered, Calum shook his head.

"No, we're okay here." I answered.

"Okay, bye guys." Luke said walking out of the house.

We made ourselves comfy in Ashtons living room as it was getting quite cold in the studio room.

Harry and Lauren had decided to drop by and they were fascinated with the twins and began playing with them , well I had to force Harry since he hasn't seen them in a long time. All he really wanted to do was go find some girls. I spotted John walking into the house and decided to ask him where Ashton was and wondered why he didnt go with the guys to lunch.

''Is Ashton setting some drums?'' I asked

''No he just wanted some alone time before we do some more recording. He should be in there still.'' John said giving me a smile as he walked into his house.

''Hey , Calum. I'm just gonna check on Ash. Be back in a bit.'' I said , he gave me a nod watching the girls play with Rosalie and James.

I hear a loud banging followed by a string of profanities come from the rehearsal studio. Ashton's been in there for hours and so far I'd hear about 2 minutes of straight drumming before he gets frustrated and bangs around the studio. A sigh emits from my lips when I see him hunched over on his drumming stool; his head in his hands, and his drumsticks thrown around the room.

"Ash ." I whisper, cautiously making my way over to him. He looks up for a split second, sweat brimming at his hairline and what I assumed were tears, streaming down his face.

"go away." He chokes out before burying his head back into his hands. I wrap my arms around his back, resting my head on his shoulder. Squeezing his shoulders, eventually feeling him relax underneath.

"You can't let her do this to you." I say instantly knowing this was about Sasha. He sighs, telling me he doesn't agree.

"I know you love her and I know that you hate what has happened but maybe you need to let her go. Its not fair for you or her , she just isnt going to remember its been so long Ash. Its your choice but I want you to know that I'll be with you every step of the way." I whisper into his ear.

"Why does it hurt?'' he said a tear streaming down his face.

''Oh Ashton.'' I said. After a little while he stood up , nodding his head at me.

''I'm going to go freshen up.''

I was sound asleep when my phone started to go off, jolting up from my sleep I noticed Calum beside me. I had left him at Ashtons to record and I dont know what time he had gotten home but I dont remember falling asleep with him. I grabbed my phone rubbing my eyes , letting out a deep sigh.

''Hello?'' I spoke

''Rebecca.'' a voice cracked... It was Ashton and he was crying?

''Hey hey... Ashton calm down what is wrong?'' I said as he was murmuring a bunch of things I couldnt make clear of

''I love you and the guys okay just remember that'' he cried furthur

''Ashton what is the matter, why are you saying these things at 3am? '' I asked ,

''and Mum tell her she is my hero. I w-want Calum to promise to look after you. Is he there can I speak to him? Wait dont worry''

''Ashton you're scaring me now. What is going on?''

'' I even love Dad I wish I could of made it up with him better... Tell Rosalie and James that I will always be there for them?''

''Ashton you can still repair your relationship with dad. What are you saying you're going to watch my kids grow up. Ashton what the hell is going on.'' there was a silence before I heard him drop something followed by him cursing

''I have to go. I'm sorry I love you.'

''ASHTON!'' I yelled as he hung up the phone. I nudged Calum and he tried to pull me down , grabbing the cup of water from the side i threw it at him.

''WHAT THE FUCK REBECCA.'' He groaned sitting up. '-Wait Becky whats wrong?''

''Its Ashton.... I think somethings bad going to happen.'' I didn't need to say another word Calum was up and running with me out the house , we quickly grabbed the kids and made a ton of calls to the other guys and to the emergancy services.

This cannot be happening.
