Chapter 44

I made my way to my closet pulling out a black midi skirt and a black,white striped crop top. I pulled out my black blazer slipping into it and grabbing my black Christian Louboutins. I pinned my hair back in a bun and walked over to my dresing table looking over the paperwork my lawyer wanted me to go through. Today was the court case against Logan , Calum was busy at a couple of meetings for the new album so I would be going alone with the support of my parents and Sophia.

''I just dropped the Kids off at Mums , Are you sure you don't want me to come with you?'' Calum asks I nod to him in the mirror , putting my earrings in. His face flashes to the engagement ring on the side then back up to meet my eyes he half smiles.

''I still need time.'' I whisper and he nods. Calum leans down to place a kiss under my ear making me gasp when he smirks at the skin continuing a trail of kisses down my neck.

''We have time...''He mumbles into my shoulder and I lean back laughing shaking my head.

''No we don't. Have fun at work I'll see you later.'' I say removing his hands , standing up and kissing him goodbye. I hear him let out a groan and I start laughing picking up my purse , leaving the house to meet Sophia in her car.

''Hi babe'' Sophia says starting the car and exiting the estate.

''Hiya.'' I reply doing my seatbelt up as we pull out on the road.

''How are you doing? Feeling confident enough?''

''Yeah... Its just going to be difficult to see him you know?''

''Mhm , I bet you just want to smash his face in.'' She laughs and I nod giving her a half smile.

''sorry too soon? Me and my big mouth.''

''Its fine.'' I laugh looking out the window.

When we pull up to the courthouse there are about 20 photographers and press outside. I gulp feeling uncomfortable , maybe they thought Calum would be here? I take a moment before getting out the car , Sophia grips my arm leading us through the crowd. I keep my head down until I get inside where I am greeted by my lawyer.

We go over some things before I am called into the court dock , I see Sophia and my parents In the visitor stands. My mother gives me a reassuring smile , my eyes shut tightly when Logan is brought into the room.

Halfway through the hearing , I have gone through anger outbursts , crying outbursts and pure disgust. Firstly Logan was denying everything trying to pin the blame on me, I didn't know how he could live with himself. They asked me my story and why I had put Logan on a restraining order.

''She is lying.'' he mumbled

''WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME!!'' I yelled at him , wiping the tears from under my eyes. The door opened and shut and Calum walked through he gave me a short smile then took a seat in the stands.

''Look who showed up ... '' Logan laughed.

''Silence in the courtroom.'' The judge ordered.

''I have no part to play in this. She is mental your honour , you cannot believe a word coming out her mouth.''

''Shut the fuck up. You hurt her , you almost killed her! Now you are pretending this is nothing!'' Calum yelled. Sophia tried to pull him down and shut him up.

''Who is this man?''

''I'm her... husband.'' Calum said confidently.

''Well , If you're her husband why are their claims on Mrs Rebecca being with this Logan male.''

''We had some complications we've just got back together... Look this doesn't matter he almost killed her why are you not looking at the facts.'' he yelled back.

''Someone please escort this young man out of the courtroom.'' he said , as security began to escort Calum out. I let out a deep sigh looking straight at Logan with a shaky voice I spoke up.

''Logan , If you ever ever loved me ... even a little bit. Please just tell the truth , I'm begging you. I can't live like this. I'm sorry I broke your heart and lead you on I really am.'' I said not believing a word that came out of my mouth.

Logan didn't say anything after that , my lawyer pulled up the evidence thats when things started going my way. In the end the jury ruled him guilty , because he didn't plead guilty himself the charge was extended for false accusations and evidence.

Logan got charged with 3 years in prision back in England and 6 months of community service. I was absolutely exhausted from the hearing and also relieved to know he wouldn't be anywhere near me for a long time. I left the courtroom Calum rushing over and pulling me into his arms.

''What happened are you alright?'' he asked

''Y-Yeah... I'm fine hes gone Calum. Away for three years , not even here they're sending him back to England. Calum I'm free we're free!! '' I smiled , Calums face lit up pulling me into his arms and twirling me around.

''That was a dick move back there , by the way.'' I laughed he smiled hugging my again and kissing my head.

''I'm glad you came though.'' I whisper we pull away interrupted by the little red head Sophia.

''We need to celebrate.'' Sophia said giving me a small hug, I nodded to her.

''I think we're just going to do something small tonight.'' Calum said to Sophia , I looked at him and he nodded.

''Oh right... I get it'' Sophia winked then let out a laugh.

''I'll drive back with Calum , tell Michael and the kids I said hi.'' I told Sophia and said goodbye.

I said goodbye to my parents and thanked them for coming. I turned back around taking Calums hand and we he pushed his way through the paprazzi opening my door and letting me into the car before shutting it and running around to jump in the other side.

''So what are we doing tonight?'' I asked

''Surprise...''

''You know I hate surprises.''

''I know.'' he smirked

''Hello Beautiful'' Calum says

''Hey'' I smile

''So where you taking me?'' I ask , Calum doesn't reply he's just smiling.

''Youre not going to tell me are you?'' I ask , Again Calum doesn't speak he just shakes his head smiling , his free hand soon finds my hand and i intertwine our fingers.

We both smile and i turn up the radio bobbing my head along to the radio. Calum laughs and start's doing a little dance to the songs making me laugh hysterically. After a few minutes of singing , laughing and awful dance moves the car comes to a stop , Calum rushes around the door and opens it for me.

It reminded me of the first date I had with Calum where he wouldn't tell me anything until we got their , it was a beautiful first date. So thoughtful it made me instantly fall for him ten times more then I had. We went home first because apparently what I was wearing wasn't suitable , I changed into some shorts , a short sleeved t-shirt and swapped the heels for some converse.

''Am I suitable enough now?'' I laughed and Calum nodded poking his tongue out at me. He puts away the guitar and grabs his car keys.

''Working on something new?'' I asked gesturing over to the guitar and he nods.

''Yeah, just something me and Luke wrote today.'' Calum replied.

''What about the kids? I hate leaving them with either my mum or Joy I feel like we rely on them so much'' I tell him.

''I told mum I'd pick them up after our date... They both love the kids relax okay? Unless you want to pay for a nanny stop complaining.'' He reassures me. I get into the car and watch im drive in the direction of the park.

''You're not taking me to play on a slide are you?''I joke and he shakes his head smiling. Calum parks up the car we get out and he instantly has his hand wrapped around my own and we walk for a bit.

We walk around for awhile , until we make our way up to the lake. I squint my eyes looking at the rowing boats aligned up then look back at Calum who has excitement in his eyes. He is so childish but I love him so much , he pulls my arm like a little kid as we make our way over to the boats. Calum pays the man and we get into the rowing boat , I look at Calum as it takes him all his strength to pull the ores back to make us move. I laugh at his expression and he pouts jokingly , I look around enjoying the surroundings.

''This is your famous idea?'' I smile

''Yeah... its lame I know.''

''No... Its cute and romantic. Who knew you could be those two things'' I tease

''Well its a good work out for me.'' He laughs stopping to let the boat glide along.

''I really do love you Rebecca.'' he whispers.

''I love you Calum.'' I reply back he lets out a smile pulling something out of his pocket.

''I know you said you needed time , but I would really love to see this back on your finger?'' he said nervously passing me the box with my old engagement ring in

''Yeah of course I will. I feel like you've proved yourself and I've left you waiting a bit.'' I laugh taking the ring out the box and handing it to Calum.

''Would you do the honour?'' I giggled holding my hand out.

''Lets do this properly.'' Calum stood up making the boat shake , I gripped onto the boat squealing.

''Rebecca Irwin would you do me the honour of wearing the eng-'' Just as he finished he lost his balance causing the boat to rock and him fall off the edge with a splash. I looked over the edge at Calum whos hair was all wet his arm was in the air holding the ring..

''- agement ring...'' he finished spitting out a mouthful of lake water. I laughed hard nodding my head as he placed the half wet ring on my finger and climbing back into the boat only made the whole thing tip over causing me to fall in with a scream.

''Calum!!'' I yelped. I gripped onto Calum , wrapping my legs around him as he floated.

''This was such a bad idea you dork defiantly not as good as the movies.'' I laughed poking his cheek.

When we finally got back on the boat Calum couldn't move it in the right direction so we backed into two willow trees while trying to get back.

''Calum watch out!'' I squealed as I began being covered in branches of willow pollen. Calum laughed loudly as I pouted.

When he got the hang of things we made our way back and exited the boat onto dry land. The owners of the boat hire laughed at us , as well as some of the people lining up to get on. I giggled hiding my face into Calums chest.

''Remind me to never let you bring the kids here.''I say , Calum shakes his head laughing as he pulls his t-shirt over his head tossing it in a bin.

We didn't expect our house to be full of people when we arrived home , but there everyone was. With drinks in their hands raising them and yelling surprise as we walked through the door. The shock and horror on my face must of been hilarious for everyone.

''I told you , we'd celebrate.'' Sophia smiled handing me a drink. She looked me up and down for a moment then shook her head. ''-I'm not even going to ask.''

''I'm going to shower first.'' I said

''Yeah you do that , we're going clubbing in a minute.''

''Why dont you all head out and we'll meet you there.'' I offered

''Its okay we'll wait.'' she smiled and dissapeared into the crowd.

''Remind me to think before giving spare keys to someone.'' Calum said as we both walked towards the bedroom.

''What about the kids? They want to go clubbing apparently we're going with them.''

''We don't have to if you don't want... I'm sure my mum won't mind keeping them for the night''

''Ugh, I do want to go we haven't had a night out out in ages but... I hate taking advantage of our parents''

''Go take a shower i'll ring them up... then join you.'' He winked

''Okay...CALUM!! ''

''What?'' he laughed

''We have people here...''

''Well you better lock the door because I don't care I'll be coming in.''He smirked
