âIs it that time already?â
How long did I sleep? I guess I must have slept longer than I thought when I closed my eyes slightly. I thought I was tired these days, but I slept very soundly. I havenât read all the books yet. Hastily, I picked up the messy book. Seeing this, Kirâs eyebrows narrowed slightly.
âWhat are you doing?â
âTo clean up.â
Kirâs eyes seemed to ask like someone who didnât know that. Pretending not to see him, I took the book back to its place.
âLeave it alone.â
I knew the maids will clean it up if I leave it that way. I know, but I didnât want to leave my mess, just that. The table was very messy because I took out several books to refer to while watching. Kirâs hand approached and snatched the book from my hand.
âWhat are you doing?â
âWhat are you doingâ seemed to be the most common question whenever I was with Kir. Seeing his eyes wide open, Kir absentmindedly put the book on the table.
âYou donât have to clean it up.â
âItâs not difficult, so Iâm doing it.â
If the etiquette teacher sees it, I would be scolded, but to express my displeasure, I put both my hands on my waist and tilted my head. Kir snorted.
âIf we do the work ourselves, we donât have to hire people. Your actions are taking away other peopleâs jobs.â
There were a lot of things I wanted to refute to Kirâs words, saying that I wouldnât word it like that, but I held back. No matter how logical it is, Kirâs coercion can really put people out of work.
These days, he doesnât go that far, but he was an arrogant guy who could actually do it. Itâs not a joke with a child who seems to have matured but couldnât overcome his temper.
âFine, I wonât clean it up.â
Are you threatening me with something like that? I swallowed the words inside. Still, Kirâs mood loosened up again, showing he liked my answer. Iâve known him for years, but he was sensitive on some really weird points which were really difficult to figure out.
In the end, I left Kirâs book alone and packed the things I brought with me.
âWhat is this?â
âHuh?â
After answering insincerely, I put the notebook and pen that had been scattered around in the bag and put it on my shoulder. The moment I turned around, my eyes met Kir, who was glaring at me with a cool gaze.
Oh why? What are you dissatisfied with?
âWhat are you doing now?â
If the question I ask Kir the most is âwhat are you doing?â the question Kir asks me the most is âwhat are you doing now?â.
âGoing home.â
Hearing my refreshing reply, Kir glared at me for a moment before letting out a low sigh. Frustrated, his eyebrows were slightly furrowed, and his hair, which covered his straight forehead, swayed slightly, showing a strange sense of maturity. Was it a little strange? At that age, heâs already that good-looking. Heâs so exceptional that you can eat off his face and live. Well, since he has that kind of temperament, his face should at least look good.
After admiring Kirâs appearance for a while, I was awakened by his cool gaze. Ahh, this was not the right time.
âIâll go.â
After saying goodbye and leaving the study, Kir came out after me. Kir was walking in line with my footsteps.
âArenât you going to eat dinner?â
He was not escorting me. He thought I would eat together with him. But I never said I was going out for dinner, did I?
âYes. Iâm not eating.â
âWhy? Itâs meal time too, so eat before you go.â
Did you want to eat with me that much? I looked up at Kir. Seeing Kir just staring down, I got pissed off and hit his arm with my elbow.
Even though I drank so much milk, I grew up less than average, but Kir grew up on his own. At first, there was a little difference in height, but now he was more than half a head taller than me. If he keeps going like this, he will soon grow more than one head. Maybe thatâs why every time Kir looked down at me, I suddenly got grumpy.
âIâm not going to eat.â
âWhy?â
He was persistent today. Well, Kir did like to feed me. Glancing at him, he quickened his steps. Perhaps he was late.
âAren, eat and then go.â
Kirâs persistence never really changes. If I say I wonât eat, then heâll know thereâs a reason.
âBecause I canât.â
âWhy?â
