1 month later Jaxonâs p.o.v
âNow thatâs over. What do you guys think? I was hoping to expand this territory so all the mates with children can move out of the pack house, and live in their own housesâ I explained to Kyle and Ryan, who nodded.
âI think its a great idea. Especially since everyone is having childrenâ kyle said and I smirked
âLike you?â I questioned and he rolled his eyes
âIâm happy Rachel is pregnant. But she complains a lotâ kyle groaned
âSheâs a human kyle. And sheâs carrying a werewolf baby. Of course sheâs going to complain. She has 4 months to go yet. Itâs going to be harder for her because sheâs going to be pregnant for 5 monthsâ I explained
âHarder? Excuse me normal humans are pregnant for 9 months. And what are we even talking about? Weâre guys!â Ryan exclaimed.
âyou canât say anything. You didnât even tell us your gay! Well as long as you got your mate back. I canât beileve you didnât even talk to him beforeâ kyle exclaimed
Just then the door opened and Eric, Ryanâs mate walked in.
âDinners readyâ he said and we nodded
âOkay. You guys go ahead and Iâll eat laterâ I mumbled and they all sighed and walked out the room.
Itâs been a whole month since cherry died. And I gave up. Sheâs always leaving me so I gave up on us. Now all my priority is Oliver. He is my one and only.
I got up and grabbed my blazer and walked out the office. I locked the door and walked out the house. I sat in my car and drove to Oliverâs new school. He is in day care from 11 till 3 and he loves it.
I parked the car outside his small school and just waited until the bell rang. I put Oliver in human school so he understands humans and their way of life as well as werewolfs.
I got out of the car and wore my blazer as all the mothers stared at me. The bell went, I went closer to the gate.
I waited as Oliver ran out of the school playground and towards me.
âDaddyâ he yelled jumping on me.
âHey Oliver. How was school?â I asked taking his backpack
âIt was good daddy. I made a new friend. Megan and sheâs prettyâ he whispered into my ear
âHaha thatâs good. Letâs go. Shall we get some ice cream?â I asked picking him up and standing.
âYes daddy. I want vanilla ice creamâ he exclaimed and I nodded
I walked back to my car and put him in his seat. I helped him wear his seat belt and turned around to see a woman standing there.
âHi. I just wanted to ask if Oliver wants to come for a play date with megan some day? Maybe tomorrow?â She said holding a little girls hand
I turned to Oliver and smiled
âDo you want to go?â I asked and he nodded
âYes daddyâ he shouted and I nodded
âSure. Thank youâ I said and she nodded and handed me a card.
âNo problem. This is my address. You can come at anytime tomorrow. Come on sweetie, lets goâ she said handing me a card and walking away.
âLooks like you already have a date. Your quick at this sonâ I smirked sitting in the car and starting it.
âDaddy can we go to the park and then see mommy?â He asked and I nodded
âSure.â I mumbled driving to the park. It was in the human area but Oliver likes to spend more time with humans than werewolf. I donât know why but he never plays with any of the kids at home.
We reached the park and I got out the car
âHow about we see your mom first and then you can play in the park?â I said helping him out of the car.
âYep. Can we get flowers?â He asked and I shook my head
âNo. Sorry son but I forgot that. We can get next time. Okayâ I said as he held my hand and we walked to the cemetery, which was next to the park.
I pushed the gate and walked threw with Oliver holding my hand. I wanted to put cherry in a place where she will always be remembered. And where Oliver can always see her. If we put her next to pack, I know and so does everyone else, that I wouldnât move from that area.
âLook daddy. I can see mommyâ Oliver exclaimed and ran to Cherryâs grave.
I followed him as he kissed his fingers and put them on the grave.
âHi mommy. Daddy can I go to the park now?â He asked looking at me and I nodded
âBe careful! And play where I can see you okay?â I said and he nodded
âOkay. Bye daddyâ he shouted and ran to the park.
âHey cherryâ I mumbled and sat down on the floor.
âOliver already has a date. And heâs only 2. Well nearly 3â I muttered standing up
âBye cherryâ I said and walked out to the park. I saw Oliver playing with a little girl in the sand box, so I sat down on the bench.
Ever since cherry died, I have nothing to do. Itâs always look after Oli and alpha work.
âOh hiâ I heard someone say sitting on the beach. I turned around to see Oliverâs friends mom.
âHeyâ I said and she smiled
âI forgot to introduce myself, my name is Ericaâ she said holding her hand out
âJaxonâ I replied shaking her hand and she nodded, removing her hand.
âDaddy can we get ice cream. Please?â Oliver asked running towards me and I nodded
âSure. When we go home. Shall we go home. I think Rachel baked you a cakeâ I said standing up
âYes! Auntie Rachel makes the best cakesâ he exclaimed and I nodded picking him up
âBye bye meganâ he shouted and waved to the little girl playing in the sand box.
âGoodbye Ericaâ I nodded and she waved.
I walked to my car and put Oliver in his seat.
âYou have to be a good boy for meganâs mom tomorrow. Okay?â I said to him driving to an ice cream shop
âYes daddy. I promise to be goodâ he said and I shook my head
âWhat have I always said Oliver, donât make promises you know you canât keep.â I mumbled and he nodded
I made a lot of promises to cherry, but never kept them. I failed her, like always.
