The great pancakes debate
oneshots (Jikook)
Jungkook and Jimin had spent the morning in a flurry of activity. The day off had started innocently enough, but quickly descended into a heated debate that neither of them was willing to let go.
Jimin had decided they needed to make breakfast together, and Jungkook had agreed enthusiastically. But then, as they stood side by side in the kitchen, a disagreement erupted over the most important meal of the day.
"You can't just put chocolate chips in everything and call it breakfast," Jungkook said, looking at Jimin incredulously.
Jimin, holding a bowl of pancake batter, shot him a playful glare. "Oh, please. Chocolate chips make everything better. Haven't you heard? Theyâre practically a breakfast food group!"
Jungkook folded his arms and raised an eyebrow. "And what about plain pancakes? They have a classic appeal. You can't just drown them in sugar and expect them to be perfect."
Jimin pouted dramatically, holding up a pancake. "Are you saying my pancakes are not perfect?"
"Well, maybe if you added a few more blueberries and a hint of cinnamonâ"
Jimin's eyes widened in mock horror. "Cinnamon?! How dare you!"
The playful banter continued as they cooked, with Jungkook attempting to teach Jimin the art of the classic pancake, while Jimin insisted on adding his own flair. Their kitchen was a mess of flour, chocolate chips, and laughter.
Finally, the pancakes were ready. They each took a bite of their respective creations. Jungkookâs pancakes were plain and fluffy, while Jiminâs were studded with chocolate chips and drizzled with syrup.
Jungkook raised an eyebrow as he tasted Jiminâs concoction. "Alright, Iâll admit it. These are pretty good."
Jimin grinned triumphantly. "I knew you'd come around."
Jungkook took another bite and chuckled. "But donât think youâve won this debate. Next time, Iâm making you my special breakfast burrito."
Jimin gasped in mock indignation. "A breakfast burrito? The nerve! Iâm going to need a taste tester to judge that."
As they finished their breakfast, Jungkook reached over and ruffled Jiminâs hair. "You know, as much as we argue, I wouldn't want to do this with anyone else."
Jiminâs cheeks flushed a rosy pink. "Same here. Even if your pancakes are boring."
Jungkook laughed and leaned in, giving Jimin a quick peck on the cheek. "And your pancakes are ridiculously sweet."
They spent the rest of the day enjoying each otherâs company, playfully arguing over which breakfast dish was superior, and savoring the simple joy of being together.
In the end, the great pancake debate didnât matter. What mattered was the laughter and love they shared, and the way they made each otherâs days a little brighter, one breakfast at a time.
