Chapter 33

The Accidental confession

oneshots (Jikook)

Park Jimin was convinced Jeon Jungkook existed for one sole reason: to ruin his life. For as long as Jimin could remember, Jungkook had been the bane of his existence. Whether it was pulling harmless pranks, teasing him for being a “teacher’s pet,” or just staring at him with those smug doe eyes, Jungkook knew how to push every single one of Jimin’s buttons.

So when Jimin entered the classroom for their much-dreaded physics exam, he was relieved that Jungkook was sitting several rows behind him. At least, for now, he could focus on the test.

---

The exam was harder than expected. Students exchanged desperate glances, their pens hesitating over the questions. The teacher, oblivious to the silent chaos, sat at her desk, scrolling through her phone.

Jimin, ever the diligent student, was determined to get through it. But when he reached Question 20, his hand froze.

Question 20:

"If the statement 'Jeon Jungkook loves Park Jimin' is true, then the answer to the equation below is:"

a) True

b) False

Jimin blinked at the paper, his lips parting in disbelief.

“Is this some kind of joke?” he muttered under his breath. He glanced around to see if anyone else had reached the question yet. Some students looked utterly confused, while others were whispering to their neighbors, trying to make sense of it.

Meanwhile, Jeon Jungkook, the culprit who had clearly influenced the question in some way, was lounging in his seat, his lips quirked in an infuriating smirk.

Jimin clenched his jaw. There was no way he was letting Jungkook get away with this.

He raised his hand, but the teacher ignored him, engrossed in her screen. Frustrated, Jimin decided to take matters into his own hands.

Standing up abruptly, he shouted, “JEON JUNGKOOK LOVES ME?! HA! FALSE! WRITE FALSE, EVERYONE!”

The classroom erupted into laughter. Some students clutched their stomachs, while others shook their heads in amusement. Jimin’s face turned crimson, but he held his ground, pointing at Jungkook as if to say, Look what you’ve done!

Jungkook, however, didn’t seem fazed. Instead, he… smiled.

A wide, genuine smile stretched across his face, and Jimin’s stomach flipped in a way that he didn’t quite understand. Why did Jungkook look so—happy?

Jimin sat back down, muttering to himself, “That’ll show him.”

---

After the exam, Jimin packed his things hurriedly, wanting to escape the lingering stares and laughter. But before he could leave, a familiar voice called out.

“Hey, Baby mochi.”

Jimin froze. He turned to see Jungkook leaning casually against the doorframe, his backpack slung over one shoulder.

“What do you want?” Jimin snapped, refusing to meet his eyes.

Jungkook walked closer, his smirk softening into something gentler. “You’re cute when you’re flustered, you know that?”

Jimin’s head shot up, his face heating. “W-what are you talking about?!”

Jungkook chuckled, slipping his hands into his pockets. “I was just going to say… Thanks for the free hint.”

Jimin frowned. “Hint? What hint?”

Jungkook leaned in slightly, his voice dropping to a teasing whisper. “You screamed ‘Jungkook loves me,’ and guess what? Everyone wrote true.”

Jimin’s eyes widened. “What?! I said it was false!”

Jungkook shrugged, his grin widening. “Yeah, but no one believed you. Everyone knows I love you.”

Jimin stared at him, his mind reeling. “You… you’re joking, right? You bully me all the time!”

Jungkook tilted his head, his gaze softening. “I tease you, baby mochi. There’s a difference.”

Jimin’s heart raced as Jungkook reached out, gently ruffling his hair. “You’re too cute when you’re mad. It’s hard to resist.”

Jimin swatted his hand away, his face burning. “You’re insane.”

Jungkook laughed, stepping back. “Maybe. But I wasn’t lying. The answer to the question? It’s true.”

With that, he turned and walked away, leaving Jimin standing in the empty classroom, his heart pounding and his mind replaying Jungkook’s words.

“Wait…” Jimin whispered to himself. “Does that mean…?”

For the first time, Jimin wondered if maybe, just maybe, Jeon Jungkook wasn’t so bad after all.

---

The results came out a week later, and Jimin couldn’t help but smile when he saw that he’d aced the test.

But what made his heart flutter wasn’t the perfect score—it was the sticky note attached to his paper.

*“Congratulations on the A+, Baby Mochi. Let’s make the answer ‘true’ for real.

Jungkook”*

Jimin’s cheeks burned as he read the note, but a small smile tugged at his lips. Maybe being Jungkook’s “Baby Mochi” wouldn’t be so bad.
