Tempted by her Daddies: Chapter 41

Tempted by her Daddies (Harem of Daddies Book 6)

Tamsyn woke up, feeling confused and a bit scared.

She didn’t like feeling scared.

Sitting up, she glanced around, her heart racing and a strangely muffled cry escaped her mouth as something dropped out of her mouth.

She glanced down to see a pacifier lying in her lap.

How did that happen?

Wait.

She was in her playroom. In the bed. Someone had put her in here . . . Salem?

But why?

Where was he? She was naked and she felt . . . strangely vulnerable.

The door shot open and she let out another cry. Alexei strode in.

No one had a walk like Alexei. Full of confidence, yet it wasn’t really a swagger exactly.

It was just him.

“Bunny,” he rumbled as he walked over and plucked her up. Then he held her with one arm under her ass. Her breasts were pushed against his chest and he wrapped an arm around her back. “Are you all right? Do you want me to whip his ass for you? I’ll do it.”

There was a rough, fierce note in his voice.

Protective.

Possessive.

It made her shiver with pleasure.

But what was he talking about?

“Whip whose ass?” she asked.

“Salem’s ass.”

“Why would I want you to whip Salem’s ass?” she asked in confusion.

“For making you say your safeword.”

Oh.

Ohhh. That was why she felt so out of sorts. That made sense.

“I don’t want you to whip Salem’s ass.”

“You sure?” he growled. “I feel like I should kick his ass.”

“Alexei!” Salem snapped as he walked into the room. “What the hell are you doing?”

“Taking care of our girl. The way you should have been earlier. She’s been through enough with her nightmare and then you go and do something to make her safeword.”

No, no, he had it all wrong and now she felt terrible.

“Salem didn’t do anything wrong,” she told him, leaning back to try and see his face.

He glanced down at her. “You would say that. You’re too nice.”

Tamsyn blinked. Nice?

“I’m not nice.”

“Of course you are,” Alexei said. “Look at the way you’re defending Salem even though he was the one in the wrong.”

“But he wasn’t,” she protested.

“Give her to me,” Salem demanded.

“No. You don’t deserve her,” Alexei countered.

“Alexei, I need to make sure she’s all okay. It’s my right to provide aftercare.”

“Only if you’re not a complete dickhead,” Alexei told him.

Dear Lord.

“Do I get a say?” she asked.

“No,” they both said at the same time.

Then Salem ran his hand over his face. “Alexei. Give her to me. Please.”

Whoa.

He’d just said please? That didn’t happen often.

Alexei grumbled to himself and she patted his chest. “I love that you want to protect me, but you know you never have to protect me from Salem.”

Alexei glared at her, then Salem. “Fine. But then I want her back.”

Salem nodded. “Thank you.” He plucked her out of Alexei’s arms and grabbed a blanket off the end of the bed. It was the one from his office. He must have brought it when he carried her up here.

Why couldn’t she remember that?

Then he sat with her on the rocking chair, wrapping the blanket lightly around her. She let out a sigh of relief when he didn’t wrap her up too tightly.

She should have known that Salem wouldn’t do that. He was always careful not to push her limits too much. Alexei left as Salem started to rock her.

Tamsyn felt herself relaxing bit by bit into his arms.

“That’s it. Good girl. I’m sorry I had to leave you in here. I had the monitor with me so I could keep an eye on you.”

Part of her felt weird about that.

But a bigger part of her liked that he had still been watching over her even though he couldn’t be in here.

“We had something at work come up that needed my attention, but I was always coming back to look after you. I just wasn’t aware that Alexei had taken the monitor from me. That’s how he got in here before me.”

He sounded so disgruntled that she had to smile.

“How are you feeling? Upset? Out of sorts? Settled?”

Tamsyn took a moment to gauge her feelings. “I was out of sorts, now I’m feeling more settled.”

“Good. That’s what I want to hear.” He leaned down and kissed her forehead. “Just take your time.”

After a few deep breaths to settle herself again, she attempted to get off his lap, but he held her against him.

“Were you given permission to move?” he said in a low voice.

She froze.

Oops.

“I thought you needed to get back to work.”

He raised his eyebrows. “Not for you to worry about. If I need to be at work, that’s where I’ll be. Right now, all I need is to be with you.”

Wow.

Just when she thought these men couldn’t possibly get more amazing, they proved her wrong.
