Tempted by her Daddies: Chapter 42
Tempted by her Daddies (Harem of Daddies Book 6)
Where was she?
Roman went searching through the house. His rumbling stomach had alerted him to the fact that it was lunchtime and he needed to make his girl something to eat.
She didnât always remember to eat.
Not that he was one to talk. But he was trying to do better in order to help her.
Also, it sometimes felt like she was always taking care of him when he wanted to look after her.
He walked toward her bedroom, not that she slept in it much and never alone.
Alexei struggled not to be with her at any time, but especially at night. So he was usually sleeping with her. Unless she was in with Salem.
And then he would sneak in. Salem hadnât been too impressed with that to begin with, but they seemed to have some sort of agreement.
After knocking, Roman pushed her door open to check inside. Not in there. He checked Alexei and Salemâs bedrooms just in case.
Hmm.
Nope.
Where was she?
He was starting to think that Alexeiâs suggestion that they put a tracker on her wasnât such a crazy one.
He wasnât sure what that said about him, though. Since when did he start thinking that Alexei had sane ideas?
Maybe she was in the playroom. Roman walked in and looked around.
This was really coming together.
He was ashamed to say that he had been avoiding coming in here after the other day. He wasnât sure why, exactly. It wasnât like anyone expected anything of him.
He guessed it was due to his own feelings.
There was a part of him that wanted to be involved. That wanted to sit and play with her. To help dress her.
To support her Little.
Yet he still couldnât help but feel like heâd make a terrible Daddy Dom.
Youâve probably got more of a Little side.
But he didnât. Could he be him and a Daddy Dom? Surely he didnât have to want to punish her or go to a club or act a certain way.
Sometimes, when they were reading their books, heâd try to imagine taking her over his knee and spanking her.
He wasnât sure that he would like it.
If she needed it, though, he might just do it.
He moved through the room, taking it all in properly. The other day heâd only really seen her.
The room was filled with antique furniture. Although not all of it could be antique. Surely, they didnât make a changing unit that large two hundred years ago.
Did she even need a changing unit? He hadnât realized that she would regress to a baby. But he guessed a toddler could use one.
It was a gorgeous mahogany, quite tall and had a soft looking mat on the top for her to lie on.
There were drawers and he checked through them to see some wipes, training panties, and those things that went over panties. Bloomers? Was that it?
He pulled one pair of bloomers out. It was a pale green with yellow flowers over it. And there were several ruffles at the back.
Turning, he glanced around at the rest of the room. The large bed with the mahogany headboard that matched the changing unit. The bed had a pale green bed cover along with a white throw.
There was a new set of wooden drawers and a desk with a wooden chair that all matched.
Wow.
Theyâd achieved so much in a short space of time.
He wondered if they had filled her closet up. Heâd seen some really cute clothes online when heâd gone looking the other day.
Just out of curiosity, of course.
Right. Sure.
Not because you want to buy her everything and see how adorable she looks in it all.
Not because you want to get her all the toys youâve seen and watch her playing happily.
Nope.
Nothing to do with that.
âRoman?â
He jumped slightly, turning to see her standing in the doorway. She had her hair up in a messy bun and there were smudges of dirt on her face and hands.
He frowned. âWhat have you been doing?â
âOh, uh, cleaning out the basement.â
The basement? What . . . why . . . nope.
âYou have not been,â he said sternly.
She blinked, most likely shocked at his tone. But he wasnât having that.
âUm, yes, I have been. What are you doing? How come youâre holding those?â
She pointed at the bloomers he still had in his hand. He could feel himself growing red.
Was a Daddy Dom allowed to blush?
Urgh. He couldnât believe heâd just had that thought. Why couldnât he blush or do whatever he wanted? As long as he did what was important.
Took care of her, nurtured and supported her, cherished and guarded her. Protected her.
Are you doing all of that, though?
Somehow, he didnât think he was doing the best job. By holding back out of fear was he making her feel less?
God, he hated the idea of that.
Although he thought she was more concerned with looking after him than worried about herself.
Was he denying them both what they needed?
Screw it.
He was tired of letting his family hold him back and push him down.
âI thought these were cute.â He held up the bloomers.
âThey are. I havenât worn them yet, though.â
âWhy not?â
âI donât . . . I donât really know. I guess because Salem and Alexei havenât chosen to dress me in it. Is that silly?â
âNot at all,â he countered. âAnd Iâm glad they havenât.â He walked toward her.
Her eyes grew wide and she watched him with a hint of concern. Yes, he knew he was acting out of character.
Or perhaps for the first time he was being who he really was. Who he actually wanted to be.
âWhy?â she asked.
âBecause it means that I get to be the first to dress you in these.â
âYou?â Her mouth dropped open comically.
âMe. But first we have to get you clean.â He brushed at a cobweb in her hair. âWhat were you thinking, going into the basement on your own?â
He couldnât believe sheâd done that. Anything could have happened to her down there and heâd have had no idea.
âAm I not allowed in the basement?â she asked him.
âNo.â
âOh, Iâm so sorry. I should have asked. Is there private stuff in there that you didnât want me to see?â
What was she talking about? Why would he have anything that he didnât want her to see?
âNo, you misunderstand, Kitten.â He cupped her chin and tilted her head back. âIâm not concerned about what you might find. Anything I have is yours. What I am concerned about is you going into the basement alone without telling anyone. What if youâd hurt yourself? I would have had no idea where you were.â
âBut I had my phone!â She drew her phone out of her pocket. âSee?â
âGood girl for remembering your phone.â
She smiled widely, obviously pleased with herself. He hated to burst her bubble, but she needed to know that what sheâd done wasnât safe.
Although he did like her reaction to his words.
âI am a GG,â she said proudly.
âAnd the reception is patchy at best down there,â he explained in a low voice. âSo you likely wouldnât have been able to call anyone. You could have had something fall on you. You could have tripped and hit your head and fallen unconscious.â
âYouâre starting to sound like Alexei, thinking the worst is going to happen to me. I am capable of looking after myself.â
âWhat happened to your pants?â he asked, spotting the rips in the knee of her pants.
âDrat. I forgot about that.â
He crouched in front of her, alarm filling him. âYouâre bleeding.â
âItâs only a little bit,â she argued.
âWhat happened?â
âI donât want to tell you,â she muttered.
âWhy not?â
âOn the grounds that you might use it as evidence against me being able to keep myself safe,â she told him.
He raised his eyebrows. âYou did this in the basement?â
âThat may or may not be true. But most likely true. I tripped over a box when I, uh, when I went through a cobweb.â
Roman shook his head. âRight. From now on, you do not go into that basement, understand?â
âBut itâs so dirty and dusty down there. I thought I could help out by cleaning and rearranging everything. Evette says that she doesnât go down there.â
âNo, she doesnât. Because none of us would allow that. The only people allowed down there are me, Alexei, and Salem. Understood?â
âYes.â
âYes, Dada,â he countered.
They both froze. He rolled that around in his head, waited for the wrongness, the weirdness.
But it never came. Because it felt right.
âI, um, yes, Dada,â she replied.
He noticed that she was wringing her hands together.
Shit. Was he upsetting her?
Well, you did just throw that all at her without giving her any lead up or hint that it was about to happen.
âIs that . . . are you . . . Iâm not sure even what I should ask. Are you saying that you . . .â
âThat I want to be your Daddy as well,â he said. âYes. If youâll have me, that is.â
He wasnât prepared for her to throw herself at him and he landed heavily on his back with her on top of him. But he didnât care as she started placing kisses all over his face and neck.
He let out a noise that sounded suspiciously like a giggle. After quickly stifling that embarrassing noise, he rolled her onto her back and leaned up on one elbow next to her so he could stare at her. He ran a finger down her nose and over her lips.
She pretended to nip at his finger.
âBehave yourself,â he told her sternly, but he was smiling so that likely ruined the effect.
âSorry, Dada.â
Leaning down, he kissed her lightly. âYou realize I donât know what Iâm doing, right?â
âNeither do I. Iâm just learning as I go and going with what feels right. Sometimes that doesnât always work out, but Salem and Alexei are patient and good teachers.â
âGood, Kitten. Iâm glad theyâre taking care of you. Iâd like to take care of you too.â
âYou already do.â
âDo I?â
âOf course you do. Youâre always here for me if I need someone to talk to and I know youâve always got my best interests at heart. You could calm down a bit on the food thing, though.â
He huffed out a laugh as she grinned up at him. âHate to tell you, but Iâm probably only going to get worse when youâre in Little headspace. Do you think you . . . that your Little could see me as her Daddy?â
âI think she already does, Dada,â she replied, surprising him.
âYeah?â
âYeah.â
âThatâs good, darling girl. Because Dada needs to reiterate that going into the basement alone again would be breaking the rules. And then Iâd have to punish you.â
âYou would punish me?â she asked, her eyes wide.
âIt is my rule. Itâs only right your punishment would come from me. Iâm not saying it would be the same as what Salem or Alexei might give youâ ââ
âItâs okay to be your own person, Rome,â she reassured him. âI like you for who you are. Not because I think you should be like someone else.â
He relaxed and nodded. âGood. Thatâs settled then.â He got to his feet and held out his hand. âLetâs get you cleaned up and check your knee. Then Dada will get you dressed properly for the day. Maybe youâd like to do some playing with your new Lego?â
âYes! Iâve wanted to open it. Will you play with me, Dada?â she asked, sounding hopeful as she put her hand in his.
He lifted her up and she fell into him. He wrapped an arm around her.
God, she felt so good against him. So right.
âOf course I will, darling girl.â
Tamsyn wasnât sure what had just happened.
Sheâd gone from cursing that stupid dark, smelly, dirty basement with its mean spiders, to limping her way upstairs to see Roman holding her bloomers, to calling him Dada and about to be bathed by him.
Yep, thatâs right.
Roman was going to give her a bath.
How was this her life? She didnât know but she wanted to remember every second of it.
She was sitting up on the counter while he ran the bath. He drew his phone out to look up something.
âWhatâre you looking at, Dada?â she asked.
âWhat temperature the bath water should be at,â he said. âI found this rubber duck that you put in the bath to measure the temperature.â He held up the duck. âBut Iâm not sure the best temperature for you.â
âI donât mind,â she said with a shrug. âI can handle different temperatures fine. My skin is like rubber. Too hot or too cold, itâs all good.â
He shot her a look. âThat wonât be happening.â
Right. And she should have known better than to think he would be all right with her having a bath that was too hot.
Roman was muttering to himself as he put the duck in and adjusted the taps.
âCan I have bubbles, Dada?â she asked as he tested the water by putting his elbow in.
Wow. He had this whole Daddy thing down. Had he been doing some research?
More than likely.
âNot until Iâve cleaned your knee. Iâm not sure that bubbles would be good for an open wound.â
Open wound?
Wow. He ought to see some of the open wounds sheâd endured without any sort of first aid.
This was nothing.
âDada, this is just a scratch,â she told him. âIt doesnât even hurt. It will be fine with bubbles.â
âDada will decide that, not you.â
âSomehow, I donât think youâre going to have much to worry about when it comes to knowing what to do. You already seem to know what to do. Have you been doing some research on being a Daddy Dom?â
âOf course. I donât like to go into anything unprepared.â Then he shot her a concerned look. âIs that weird?â
âNot to me. I like that youâre always prepared. If Iâm ever stuck on an island with man-eating goats, youâre the guy I want with me.â
âUh, I donât believe thereâs anything that you can research to prepare yourself for man-eating goats,â Roman told her.
Tamsyn nodded solemnly. âTruer words were never spoken.â
âRight, I think itâs at the proper temperature. Letâs get you undressed.â
He stood and stared at her.
Uh-oh.
Was he having second thoughts? Did he not want to undress her? What was going on?
But then he seemed to shake his concerns off.
âArms up, please.â
She raised her arms and he drew her sweater off. Then her T-shirt.
âYouâre not wearing a bra,â he stated as he stared down at her breasts.
âNah, the girls werenât in a bra mood. They didnât feel like being constricted. Free-the-boobie!â She pumped her fist into the air.
He gaped at her.
âSorry. Too much?â
âOf course not. You could never be too much.â
âYouâre just so sweet sometimes, you know that?â
âOnly sometimes?â he queried as he lifted her off the counter.
âYes, well, when you get all bossy thatâs not very sweet,â she informed him. âYou should do that less often.â
âShould I?â he mused. âIâm not so sure about that. I think if I was sweet all the time then youâd get away with murder.â
âDada, I already know how to get away with murder and itâs not by being sweet.â
Oh shit.
As soon as that popped out of her mouth, she wished the words back. But he simply threw back his head and laughed.
Right.
It was funny.
Because she was joking.
So she forced herself to smile in reaction.
He crouched in front of her and started to undo her shoes. âHold onto my shoulders. Good. Right foot up.â He slid off her shoe and sock. âNow left.â
Then he drew her pants and panties down, being very careful over her knee.
âGood girl. Now, Iâm just going to clean your knee a bit before you hop into the bath.â
She wasnât sure why he needed to do that, but she nodded. He grabbed a cloth and wet it, before dabbing gently at her knee.
âIs that all right?â he asked. âNot too sore?â
âNo, itâs not sore at all, Dada. I really have had worse injuries.â
âI donât like to hear that,â he told her. âAnd it also doesnât matter. Because this is the injury you have right now and I need to make sure that youâre taken care of.â
More sweet.
He was killing her.
He stood and put the washcloth in the basket. They were in the bathroom off her playroom. She still couldnât believe that these guys had created a playroom for her. It was like something out of a dream.
And she never wanted to wake up.
He took hold of her hands. âStep carefully into the bath. I donât want you to slip. Thatâs it. Good girl. Now sit. How is your knee? Is it stinging?â
âNo, Dada, itâs really fine. Could I please have bubbles?â
âLet me check first.â He tapped on his phone. âAll right, as long as they are fragrance free.â He searched through the cupboard and drew out a bottle. Turning on the taps, he ran the water and put some bubbles in. âAlthough now I need to test the temperature again.â
Such a worrywart.
But he was so cute too.
And sheâd never really had anyone fuss over her like the three of them did. It was enough to make a girl feel teary-eyed.
Or it might have been if she was a normal girl.
He checked the duck for the temperature and she swirled her hand through the water, trying to create more bubbles.
A giggle escaped her. âThis is so fun! I love bubbles!â
âThatâs good, darling girl.â He grabbed a new cloth. âYou just relax now and let me clean you. Okay?â
âOkay, Dada.â
He turned off the taps again and she picked up a pile of bubbles as he washed her.
He was so thorough, washing every inch of her.
She scooped up some bubbles and put them over her chin. âWho am I? Bunny, you are not allowed to walk anywhere on your own, you might stub your toe and get hurt.â
She said it in a deep, husky voice with a terrible accent.
âHmm, let me think.â He tapped his finger against his chin. âIt is hard to work it out. Salem!â
She giggled. âNo, Dada! I was being Papa. Couldnât you tell from the accent?
âGosh, sorry. I really thought that was Salem.â He winked at her. âNow, do you think you can kneel with your sore knee?â
âYeah, of course,â she said as she created patterns with the bubbles. âBut why does I need to kneel? I like sitting.â
âI need to wash your bottom and I canât do that while youâre sitting on it.â
Um.
She stared at him out of the side of her eye. âMy bottom is clean.â
âIt canât be. I havenât washed it yet.â
âItâs in water, Dada. Itâs washed.â
âYou need to do more than just immerse yourself in water. Kneel and hold onto the end of the bath. Then spread your legs.â
âDaddy, I donât think this is necessary.â
âKitten, you need to do as you were told.â
She grumbled but kneeled and held onto the edge of the bath as he washed first between her legs and then over her bottom.
By the time she sat back down, she knew she was red. Normally, she wasnât worried about being naked or having them dress or undress her.
But this was just a step further.
âLook what else I found.â He showed her some of the bath toys that she was guessing Alexei or Salem had bought. There were all sorts of sea creatures and a fishing boat.
âOoh! The fisherman is gonna catch himself a shark!â she cried as she started playing. âWatch out fisherman! The sharkie is going to crash into you.â She bashed the shark into the boat, sending water flying up in the air.
âWhoa, that was fun!â
âGlad you think so.â
Turning, she took in Romanâs wet face. His hair was plastered against his forehead.
She started giggling.
âOh, you think thatâs funny, do you?â He cupped some water and splashed her face.
She spluttered. Had he really just done that?
âDada!â she cried as he laughed at her. âYou are so mean! Sharkie is gonna get you!â She swam the shark toward him, lunging the shark over the edge of the bath. Which just sent water flying onto the floor.
âTruce! Truce!â he said, holding up his hands. âOr weâre going to get water everywhere.â
He said truce.
Which meant she won.
