Chapter 38: PART - 37

HIS Retribution & RueWords: 31920

Dev entered Shaurya's ancestral property from the back side to take Akansha with him as per his friend's order until he returned from the hospital after completely recovering which would take at least a few months. Shaurya didn't want Akansha to live with his vile parents where his mother would keep troubling her and his father would find opportunities to hurt her. His mother would cross all her limits if she got to know that Shaurya wouldn't be home for a few months, and she was free to do anything with Akansha. Her torture would be endless and Shaurya didn't want that for his wife.

"Dev... What the hell are you doing here? and you entered from the back door?", Akansha asked seeing Dev in their bedroom balcony.

"Yes, I can't enter the house from the entrance, obviously Akansha...", Dev said and Akansha sighed.

No one knew Dev is Shaurya's best friend except for her, she didn't know why Shaurya trust her with that secret when he didn't trust even his parents with it.

"You shouldn't be here, especially in Shaurya's absence, leave", Akansha said, She held huge respect for Dev, this man despite his thick friendship with Shaurya, warned her many times against Shaurya's intentions indirectly and she thought he just didn't want his best friend with a someone like her. She always shut Dev up badly, sometimes even shouted at him and after knowing the true intentions of Shaurya, her respect for Dev multiplied, though Dev is always loyal to Shaurya and will always be.

"Shaurya sent me here... He wants you to move to my place for a few months...", Dev said and Akansha's eyes widened...

"Are you nuts? How can I stay with you in your house? Leave before I blast your cheek... and how dare he? I'll kill him, that bl**dy monster now wants me to suffer like this", Akansha spat and Dev shut his eyes to control his temper, he didn't like her talking about Shaurya like that, especially when that man is on death bed just for her, but she didn't know, he told himself.

"Listen to me Akansha, Shaurya went abroad for some important work, he won't be returning for a few months, and he wanted you to stay with me, so... so that you don't create any issues for his parents, if you want you can talk to him", Dev said

"What did you say?", Akansha's tone cracked, did Shaurya really think so about her? Then she strengthened herself... "I am going no where, get this in your thick skull as well as your best friend's", Akansha said sternly... Dev sighed before dialing Shaurya, who called Akansha in return. She cut his calls but Dev was determined to not leave before taking Akansha from there so she picked up to give strong warning to her husband but his words had hurt her deeply.

"Go with Dev, I don't want my parents' BP to stay high these few months... So please do me a favor and go with Dev, I already told ma that you'll be travelling with me, according to her you'll be meeting me at the airport. So no one will question you, pack your things and meet Dev at a place Dev will tell you", Shaurya detailed leaving no room for argument.

"Shaurya... You are such a..." , Akansha started but stopped hearing a nurse tone.

"Sir need to change IV", she said before Shaurya could signal her to shut up.

"What happened? You are at a hospital? Are you okay?", She asked, her earlier anger disappearing for the moment.

"Yes, my friend here in the US got into an accident, so I'll be handling things here", Shaurya covered...

"But you resigned as the CFO, right?", She asked again but just then Shaurya saw the doctor entering. He was scared Akansha would doubt it.

"I can't answer you now Akansha... Just go with Dev... Don't stay at my parents", He said and hung up

Akansha controlled her tears as she didn't want to fall weak in front of Dev.

"Get out", she said angrily to Dev, he understood she is convinced now.

"Meet me at the junction in the front circle, will take you to my place from there and if you are uncomfortable, I can stay at a hotel nearby for these few months", Dev offered softly.

"No Dev it's your house, you don't have to go anywhere, I'll adjust", Akansha said a bit softly. Dev nodded and left from there.

And in the next few months, Dev and Akansha became very close, Dev is like another Akash for her, though not that close but similar. And even during those days, Dev protected her a lot, took care of her very well and she would never forget his hospitality.

"Papa... This is cutie's mommy", Ishaan shouted looking at Akansha, bringing Dev and Akansha out of their thoughts.

Dev knew cutie is Siya, his son loved playing with Siya, despite being in different classes, he went to Siya's classroom during the breaks to spend time with her. When Shaurya spoke to Ishaan on video call, he told the little boy to always protect Siya and the little boy took it too seriously to become Siya's bodyguard.

"Teacher... My papa", Ishaan said and Akansha gave a small smile to the little kid before turning to Dev, but before she could say a word, Bharti stormed there...

"Mr. Bisht... Please come... This way sir", Bharti said, but luckily Ishaan started speaking.

"Papa, won't you meet cutie?", Ishaan asked with a pout.

"Of course I will champ...", Dev said taking his son in his arms. "I'll go to Siya's class and meet her first... Ms. Akansha wouldn't mind showing me the way, right ma'am?", Dev said and Akansha nodded, Bharti was worried Akansha would say 'No' considering her record of rudeness but she took a breath of relief when she nodded.

Akansha walked ahead while Dev followed with his younger one in his arms. Akansha so wanted to take Ishaan in her arms and kiss him. It's Dev's son, she guessed it's the younger one, he wasn't born when she was with Shaurya, she just met the Dev's elder son, Ivaan who was just a toddler then. She remembered the first time when she met Rachna, Dev's wife.

Akansha entered Dev's house and a huge photo frame of Dev and his wife with a toddler between them greeted her.

"So, this is your wife...", Akansha asked surprising Dev.

"You know I am married?", Dev asked, he didn't expect Shaurya to tell her anything, considering how he decided to stay aloof with her to protect her...

"Yes, Shaurya told me... I know it's surprising you how he trusted me with this secret when he didn't trust his own parents with it... I'm surprised too", Akansha said

"Shaurya trusts you... A lot...", Dev said and Akansha chuckled dryly...

"His trust is the result I'm here at your place today Dev", Akansha said looking him in the eye. The pain in her eyes made him look away... If he wanted he could have told her the truth and remove that pain and hatred for his best friend, but Shaurya preferred her life and safety over anything, so he had to stay calm...

"Hi... Hi Akansha... We meet, finally!", Rachna walked out with her toddler.

"Rachna... My wife", Dev introduced to Akansha, Rachna embraced Akansha in a quick hug.

"I have been asking Dev to bring you home along with Shaurya, since our marriage but even Shaurya hardly visits us due to all their professional differences despite the strong friendship between these two... I'm not tired of these two and their secret friendship from years... How are you managing these two till now, god Dev is still better but Shaurya and his stubbornness is unmatched", Rachna said

"Rachna... Baby first help her settle, then you can complain about her husband and yours as well", Dev said

"Oh... I am sorry... Come, I have got your room ready, I am so glad you are here to stay with us for a while", Rachna said, taking Akansha to show her room.

After taking some rest, Akansha came down for lunch and that's when she met Ivaan, Dev and Rachna's toddler.

Akansha liked Rachna and Ivaan's company, in fact Dev's too but she didn't talk much to Dev. Rachna Bisht was a nice lady and Akansha was so sure they could have become great friends if she got to spend some more time with her, but she had to leave for her parents' as her mother got sick and was hospitalized, and she had to take care of things at home, asking Dev to take care of Akansha. She liked how Rachna trusted Dev blindly, that's the kind of marriage she desired, well she too has that kind of trust in Shaurya, she knew he wouldn't look at any other woman, she couldn't understand where was this confidence coming from after everything he did to her.

And from then Dev and Akansha bonded gradually, having no option. In fact, they didn't fight all those few months except for once.

Dev was making dinner as Shaurya already warned of Akansha's almost non-existent culinary skills, he warned Dev not to let his wife do all these things... He dismissed all his staff before bringing Akansha except for a couple of them whom he trusted blindly, now that Rachna is also not at home, Dev had to take care of chores. But Akansha didn't like letting Dev do all the kitchen chores so she decided to help him when he heard Dev talk to Shaurya on call, she heard Dev though she couldn't hear her husband.

"Really! You think I am a broker? No Shaurya I wouldn't do it", Dev said

"What broker? I just asked to send a dupatta Or saree of my wife so that I could have some peaceful sleep, I was bedridden, at least show some mercy Dev", Shaurya asked making his friend roll his eyes.

"This kind of emotional blackmailing won't work on me, by the way, tell me one thing, if you love your wife so much, then why don't you openly shower it on her", Dev asked

"You know the reasons, also how do you think I can be happy with her when I haven't cleared with her anything that lead to our relationship in the first place, why did she do that to Aakriti", Shaurya asked and Deb sighed.

"Maybe you are the only person in this planet who can love his wife to this extent but stay mad at her with the same intensity", Dev said, Akansha shut her eyes to compose herself and walked away. Shaurya and his retribution destroyed their relationship. She would never say she is innocent, yes, Aakriti suffered because of her but Shaurya could have asked her point of view in all this. He just confirmed if she did it or not, but he never bothered to know why she had to do it.

"Stop taunting me and bring my wife's saree or dupatta, it's very hard to sleep without her smell, I can't even move my limbs Dev... Not a minute of peace", Shaurya expressed his frustration.

"Aur bano hero(become a hero) for your wife but she is seeing you as a villian", Drv said

"Not her fault Dev, anyway, how is she? Is she eating well? Your cooking is not that good, why don't we hire a cook?", Shaurya said

"First get back on your feet, haath per tute hai phir bhi akal nahi aayi tujhe(limbs are broken yet no brains) idiot, she is fine, worry for yourself, you were left alone in the hospital like an orphan...", Dev muttered

"Shut up, I told you not to talk about my accident when you are home, what if Akansha hears? I don't want her worried... I'll cut your tongue if you do it again", Shaurya threatened

"Oh Saab ji(sir), madam ji(your wife) never enters the dining hall even, let alone kitchen, so don't worry", Dev said

"Good, queen never comes to get her things, everything will go to her", Shaurya said proudly.

"Yeah yeah, you will be remembered as the greatest friend for making your best friend , your wife's servant", Dev said and Shaurya laughed but winced in pain immediately. "What happened?", Dev asked in concern...

"The rod hurt", Shaurya said, as the temporary rod hurt while he moved his body.

"Call the nurse", Dev said

"I have been pressing this button for the past few minutes but no one attended", Shaurya said releasing a deep sigh.

"What a stupid service the hospital has, if this is the condition of a VIP ward, don't know what would be a normal ward's situation... This is why I told you, I'll come and stay with you in the hospital... Akansha isn't a child, she will be fine in my house, Shaurya", Dev tried for the nth time.

"Shut up... I am fine here, what will you do here 24*7, you have your work as well, also I don't want both of us away from the state, Akansha is not safe there, my father can do anything so Dev, stay there and protect my wife... I'm fine here", Shaurya said

"Hm... Fine, for you. By the way Shaurya, your father called, he was trying hard to trace your location...", Dev said

"Let him... He maybe powerful, but not powerful enough to match my smartness", Shaurya said.

"You mean 'our'?", Dev said and Shaurya chuckled, followed by a wince.

"Yeah... Our... I used 'my' because plan was mine", Shaurya said

"Your plan would be nothing without my execution", Dev said and Shaurya agreed.

Both of them planned and got Shaurya admitted in a hospital away from their state so that Shaurya's father couldn't trace him. If his father knows about his condition, he would take advantage of it and try to harm Akansha again knowing Shaurya couldn't be able to do anything, but by staying hidden, Shaurya wanted to create that fear in his father, that he could do anything to protect Akansha, and he is still the same man.

"Right... Okay I'll talk to you later, finally! The nurse is here", Shaurya said

"Okay, I'll bring your most necessary parcel and will talk to the doctors then only", Dev said, and only when he heard Shaurya's groan did he realize that he used the word 'doctors'. "Fine! I'll be careful next time", Dev said and hung up.

It took 3 days for Dev to steal Akansha's saree, Dev cursed his best friend for making him a saree stealer. But when Akansha realized her missing saree, she remembered Dev and her husband's conversation and realized it must be Dev.

So she cornered him during lunch one day. Dev was surprised when she saw Akansha at the dining table for lunch that day. Both of them sat silently having their meals when Akansha suddenly brought the topic of her missing saree which made Dev cough.

"So, where is my Saree Dev?", she came directly to the point and his coughs were uncontrollable.

"Wh... Which Saree?", Dev tried to play innocent but Akansha is too smart.

"My husband and your wife trusted you and you? Chi... Dev, how could you...", Akansha started

"Oh... Devi... Mata stop... I didn't do anything like that, it's your husband, he asked me to parcel him your dupatta Or saree as he is unable to sleep without it, so I had to do it... You have a horrible brain, you imagine too much", Dev said, looking with wide eyes at Akansha, and his expressions made her laugh at him...

"I just wanted to hear the truth, oh my god, you really thought I... Hahaha you are so funny", Akansha teased Dev.

"God, you are so dangerous... Idiot woman, you almost gave me a heart attack", Dev said and Akansha laughed at him even more. "Stop laughing like a devil and have your food, I had to do the dishes and go to work", he said

"I'll do it, you can go, also I'll cook dinner", Akansha said shocking Dev...

"You? But you don't know cooking", Dev pointed out...

"I have learnt a few things from Sudha aunty... I can manage", Akansha assured him but he couldn't trust her...

"No need, wait for me, if you want you can help me, but don't go to kitchen alone, your husband would have my head even if you got a single cut on your finger", Dev said and immediately Akansha's smile disappeared.

"Yeah... Right", she said bitterly...

"He really loves you Akansha", Dev told her

"What should I do of such love Dev? Nothing, I don't need love without respect, it's useless", Akansha said and Dev sighed. Shaurya not only loved her but also respected her. He couldn't tolerate her disrespect, that's what caused his bed ridden condition today, but how would Dev tell her that?

Dev finished his lunch and left for work and as decided, after Dev returned both of them cooked together, and from that day, they cooked all the three meals together, Akansha learnt recipes from Dev, though she didn't get perfect, she cooked edible food and both of them bonded over it.

----------------

Almost all the students left for homes, as soon as Siya saw Akansha, she rushed to her. Dev kept staring at Siya, she looked a lot like Shaurya, but he can also see a bit of Akansha in her. He got very emotional seeing her... He wanted to take the little girl in his arms but controlled his emotions.

"Papa... This is cutie...", Ishaan said and Siya's attention shifted to Dev and Ishaan.

"Ishu... Yayy", Siya got excited and rushed to Ishaan to hug him.

Akansha chuckled at her daughter's friendly nature, while Ishaan got shy...

"Cu.. Cutie... Hi", Ishaan said pinching Siya's cheek...

"Ishaan... What are you doing?", Dev said pulling his son's hand off Siya, Akansha stared at Dev incredulously, god! Shaurya is enough, she couldn't control if Dev too joins in this overprotectiveness, she'll go crazy.

The last student left when their parents came to pick up, after greeting Dev and Akansha, the teacher too left. That's when Dev kneeled in front of Siya and touched her cheek gently.

"Hi... I'm Dev, your mumma's friend and dadda's best friend", Dev introduced himself.

"Flend?", Siya said turning to her mother who confirmed it, post which Siya gave a smile to Dev and shook his hands.

"Didn't your dadda talk about me?", Dev asked

"No... Mamabear, shall I and Ishu play there?", Siya asked showing the play ladders in the corner of the classroom. Akansha nodded and both of them rushed there leaving Dev and Akansha alone.

"That a**h*le... I started talking about him to my kids when they were in their mother's womb but this man...", Dev muttered but Akansha heard it and smiled.

"How are you Akansha?", Dev asked

"Good, how are you? Rachna and Ivaan? I didn't know Ishaan is your son, why did you suddenly transfer him here in the middle of the year? I hope everything is alright", Akansha asked

"They are good, and yes, just like that, it's better if he studies here, near Siya", Dev said and Akansha frowned at his later words and it didn't take her much time to understand that it's Dev who gave Shaurya info about father's Day.

"So it's you, huh...", Akansha asked and Dev nods with a sigh.

"You know how Shaurya is, that's the reason I didn't tell him Dev... But you...", Akansha started but Dev interrupted her calmly.

"Akansha, he is Siya's father... He needs to know... He missed 4 years of her life and he is burning in that fire, it's not right to give him more pain, especially at this time...", Dev said... "And don't worry, he won't take impulsive decisions, keeping you and Siya safe is his utmost priority right now", Dev said and Akansha sighed

"I don't know about me, but if any of his actions cause even a slightest of damage to my daughter, your friend Shaurya will become Late. Shaurya", Akansha said and Dev chuckled but instantly stifled seeing her glare at him.

"Woman... Even my wife wouldn't scare me like this... You are so scary", Dev said

"Shut up Dev", Akansha said rolling her eyes, well she does knew Dev feared her, well not as much as Shaurya did, as he saw her 'roudra roop' multiple times, in fact if there's anyone that saw Akansha's most violent behavior, it's Shaurya.

"I understand your anger towards him... I don't understand how did he get so lucky despite all his sins", Dev said looking at Siya. "Shaurya had a daughter? An angel... I agree he did some good deeds for the people but not too many ki usko beti hojaye, (so that he gets a daughter?) Saala kaise hogya yeh(damn! How did it happen?)", Dev muttered the last sentence but Akansha heard everything, she laughed loudly seeing Dev staring at Siya with adoration and getting jealous of his friend.

She knew how much Dev desired a daughter, they both talked about it multiple times and he told her how he wished Rachna gave birth to girl if they had another child.

"Dev... Are you getting jealous of Shaurya? You?", Akansha said with a chuckle.

"Haan yaar(yes yaar) I'm so jealous... Look at that angel", Dev said, Siya broke the chocolate bar she has and gave the bigger piece to Ishaan who ate it with a wide grin happy that he got the bigger piece... "Itni pyari beti kaise mil gayi usse(how did he get such a cute daughter?) And look at my son, shamelessly eating the bigger piece", Dev said and Akansha laughed at Dev's antics.

"Shut up, he is just a kid", Akansha defended Ishaan

"A kid elder to Siya but see him...", Dev said looking at his son with a frown...

"You haven't changed a bit Dev", Akansha said with a chuckle...

"Can... Can I take Siya in my arms?", Dev asked and Akansha nodded with a smile..

"Siya... Come here baby...", Akansha called for her daughter, and the kids ran to them.

"Siya... Say hi to Uncle Dev, he is Dadda's best friend", Akansha said

"Hi... Mumma, whele (where) is dadda?", Siya asked suddenly remembering her father.

"He will meet you tonight", Akansha said and Siya got excited.

"Papa... Will uncle Shaurya come home today to meet me and bhai?", Ishaan asked

"No Ishaan, Your uncle Shaurya will go to his home today", Dev said looking at Akansha...

"My dadda...", Siya said possessively... Dev smiled at the little princess...

"Of course, he is your dadda, but he is also Ishaan and Ivaan's uncle, just like I'm their dadda but your uncle", Dev said kneeling in front of her. "Um... I am like your genie... You can ask me anything and I'll get it for you...", Dev said and Siya got very excited at the word 'genie'. Her father did tell her the story of genie and Allauddin.

"Thanku... You are very nice", Siya said, and when Dev opened his arms, Siya hugged him making him so happy.

"Oh my god... Now how can I stay away from you, your magic hug made me so happy", Dev said kissing Siya's forehead.

"Hehe... Magic hug... I know magic?", Siya asked Dev

"Yes, of course you do", Dev answered making the little girl giggle.

"Dadda says I am magic unicon(unicorn🦄)", Siya said proudly making Dev and Akansha smile at her cute antics.

"Cutie... We will play... Come", Ishaan took Siya away, but the little girl only went after Akansha nodded.

"See... This is why I want a daughter", Dev whined... "How did you both get such a sweet and cute daughter? You look like a scary chudail (devil) and he is an a**h*le, how?", Dev whined again, Akansha looked here and there before slapping hard on his head making him wince.

"You can say anything to your idiot best friend, but dare you call me a Devil... I'll kill you... Stupid", Akansha warned

"Woman, you haven't changed a bit, no actually became more violent", Dev said

"Now leave before someone comes here or gets suspicious", Akansha said

"Okay... Thanks for letting me meet Siya... I would be very happy if you both could come to my place, Rachna and Ivaan will meet Siya too", Dev said

"You know how tough the current situations are, Dev. Your best friend made my life harder, I can't take any risk at this moment", Akansha said

"Trust me when I say this, Shaurya is doing everything possible to keep you and Siya safe, he is ready to sacrifice anything for your sake, I know trusting him is very hard for you, but still I would say, don't judge him by what you know he did to you, because there are many other things which he did but you weren't aware of...", Dev said, Akansha stared at Dev for a second, she knew he wasn't going to say any further.

"His betrayal was a wound I would never heal from, Dev, and anything he did wouldn't make me forget it", Akansha said and Dev sighed with regret in his eyes.

"I'm sorry...", Dev said and Akansha frowned

"Why are you sorry? You always tried to caution me about Shaurya, it was my blind trust that didn't let me catch your hints", Akansha said

"Shaurya was against this whole idea, in fact he was standing like a wall protecting you from any possible deception, despite his anger for you, because the whole idea of deceiving a woman seemed very wrong to him...", Dev said making Akansha frown at him...

"What do you mean Dev? Tell me clearly...", Akansha asked but before Dev could answer, Siya ran towards Richa who was there to pick the mother-daughter.

"Sir...", Richa greeted Dev.

"Hi Richa...", Dev greeted with a polite smile but she could sense the important discussion between Akansha and Dev. Akansha looked away, there's no way she could tell her friend the biggest secret that could set the state on fire. Dev is Shaurya's best friend but no one should know about it...

"Sir... ", Richa was about to ask the reason for his presence there.

"Richa... Mr. Bisht's younger one studies here", Akansha told her best friend instead.

"Oh... Sir, this is my best friend, Akansha, she is also a teacher here, you don't have to worry about your son, she is very helpful, do let me know if there's any issue", Richa said with a smile, her suspicion still there and Dev had to do something about it.

"Sure, thanks for saying that... Can I have a word with you Richa?", Dev asked and Richa nodded.

Both of them walked to a side and Dev said something that shocked her.

"I know she is your best friend, but she was also a close aid to the Chief Minister at one point of time, she used to meet Shaurya when he was an MLA, regarding Curriculum Revision, and now she is a part of that committee... Maybe you can pull some information out of her regarding CM's wife?", Dev suggested...

Richa understood what was Dev trying to do and why was her best friend looked like that when she came there. Richa didn't understand how would Dev react if he knew Akansha is the lady who the CM married.

"Oh! I didn't know about that... Though I do know about Akansha being a part of CR committee now, I'll try to dig some info sir", Richa said and Dev nodded, and walked away picking his son up. On his way, he had a brief meeting with his son's teachers and then left for home.

While Richa detailed her discussion with Dev to Akansha on their way. Akansha realized how Dev diverted Richa's suspicions, but she felt guilty of hiding the truth from her best friend, but it's better this way, Richa can't be trusted with this critical information.

Shaurya and Dev were hiding this truth right from their childhood. If this leaked, not just their political lives, but their personal lives would also collapse. And their common lifeline, Aakriti's life will fall in danger. Till date she didn't understand why Shaurya trusted only her with that information despite his intentions with her and what was Dev saying before Richa interrupted them?

-----------------------------

That night, after dinner, Richa left to her place and after an hour or so later, Shaurya made his way.

"Dadda...", Siya jumped on him as soon as she spotted her father.

"Hey my unicorn... How are you?", Shaurya asked picking his daughter in his arms...

"Magic unicon(unicorn)", his daughter corrected him sternly making him chuckle at her cuteness...

"My bad... Magic unicorn... Had your dinner my dear little magician?", Shaurya asked tickling her stomach making her laugh.

"Yech... Yech... Dadda... (Yes yes... Dadda)", Siya answered with giggles. "Dadda you ate? Dinner?", Siya asked holding his father's cheek that made him so emotional. Even his mother never bothered to check if he had his food or not. Akansha used to, but when she got to know about his betrayal, even she stopped bothering, he knew she wanted to but the pain he gave her stopped him. But when his little daughter asked him with so much love and affection today, he  realized what he missed all these years.

"Uhu... ", Shaurya shook his head in denial, he wanted to see what his daughter would do. Well, he didn't have his dinner actually but he wouldn't have told normally.

"Haw... Dadda... It's so late... Aapka peti dard kalega na(your stomach will ache if you eat late right?)", Siya lectured her father cupping her mouth as if her father has committed a crime, the same words her mother tells her.

Shaurya stared at his daughter's cute drama in amusement. Siya got down and walked to the kitchen, Shaurya got up to follow but Akansha who is capturing this cute exchange between the father-daughter signalled him to sit back.

"But... She might hurt herself...", Shaurya said with worry.

"No, she won't, if she can't reach something, she'll call me...", Akansha said and just then they hear Siya's tone.

"Mamabear... Come here", Siya yelled.

Akansha handed her phone to Shaurya asking him to shoot from corner, hiding from Siya and Akansha walked to the kitchen.

"Mamabear... Put this in pate(plate)", Siya said showing the daal Akansha made, "thich(this) also", The little one showed the rice then while Akansha followed her little one's instructions.

"Mamabear... This no hot... My dadda can't eat(this isn't hot enough, Dadda can't eat)", Siya said with so much care that Shaurya's eyes teared up with happiness, Damn! His daughter is the best thing that happened to him, after Akansha.

"No problem, dadda likes it this way, take it to him", Akansha said touching the plate,  Siya looked offended for a minute, because as far as the little girl knew, food is good when consumed hot, because that's how Richa and Akansha preferred. Siya thought Akansha was troubling her father by making him have cold food. Akansha who understood her daughter's feelings laughed at her... "Sachi Siyu(true Siyu... Dadda likes his food with moderate heat, go and ask him, if he wants it hot, we can heat", Akansha said and Siya was convinced now.

It was all so new for Shaurya who is shooting all this... He wondered how Akansha understood Siya without a word and his daughter's care, damn! That's bliss.

Akansha walked first, took phone from Shaurya's hand, and Shaurya quickly sat at the dining table, while Siya very slowly walked towards her father.

"Dadda... Food okay?", Siya asked, making Shaurya touch the bottom of the plate making him check the temperature of the food and see if it's okay.

"Yes baby, okay", Shaurya answered and Siya turned to her mother and showed thumps up making her parents chuckle at her antics.

Shaurya started mixing the dal and rice but Siya took the spoon from him and started doing it by herself, the rice was slightly spattered around, on the dining table but her parents didn't mind, they cared more about their daughter's intentions.

After Siya was satisfied, she took a spoon full of rice and forwarded it to her father who had it wholeheartedly.

"Very tasty my little magician... Thank you", Shaurya said kissing her daughter's palms.

Akansha ended the video at Shaurya's wide smile.

"Dadda... I met uncle, Dev uncle.... He is sooooo nice.... He said I know magic", Siya shared with her father and there started the father-daughter talk and it ended only when Siya fell asleep.

"Why were you calling me this evening?", Akansha asked, after Shaurya shut the bedroom door after making Siya sleep.

"Why didn't you pick my call?", Shaurya asked instead of answering her question.

"I was working Shaurya, I did text you asking if it's about Siya and you said No, so I didn't call you back", Akansha answered.

"Wouldn't you call back, if it wasn't about Siya?", Shaurya asked settling in front of her.

"There's no point, we only have Siya to talk about, other than her nothing, and remember, do not call me if it's not related to Siya, if you do, I'll block you, take this as my warning", Akansha said making him gulp his ache.

"I am not a stalker or harassing you that you would block me Akansha... You were saying as if I'm some hooligan", he asked

"Maybe not, but your presence does feel like harasment", Akansha spat, Shaurya didn't say a word after that.

"Please lock the door, I'm leaving...", Shaurya said and walked out.

Akansha sighed deeply when her phone pinged.

"Was Shaurya there? He isn't picking up my call", Dev texted her.

"He just left", Akansha texted back

"Oh! Hope you guys talked, he was worried for you, you met me after years, the memories might have hurt you, I'm sorry, and thanks again for letting me meet Siya", Dev texted and her heart ached with guilt but only for a second, which are later replaced by bitterness she nurtured for Shaurya for years.

Precap - Jealous Shaurya... The big announcement.
