As he stood on the busy streets of Mumbai , a smile crept his lips. Ohh he missed this view so much. Standing outside the airport with his suitcase , he took out his cellphone from the side pocket. He smiled as his phone's lockscreen greeted him with his wife's breathtaking picture. It was his favourite , taken at the time of their wedding. He dialled her number , video calling her. It was an early surprise for her. She picked it up on the second ring. " Varad!! You bastard!!!! I hate you!!!! You're such a mean husband!!!!! Who leaves his nine months pregnant wife to attend a fucking conference at Delhi!!??? I'm about to give birth to your child and I want you here!!!! You st— " he was greeted by his fuming wife who ranted him. Before she could say anything further he cut her off. " Baby , I'm right here! I'll be there soon. Look , I'm back in Mumbai and on my way to meet you!! " He smiled as he said showing the rear view of the other side. Varad had to attend a conference at Delhi with his fellow doctors and Dean. On account of World Health day , they had this conference held at one of the prestigious medical college. When Spruha came to know that her husband was selected too , she couldn't help but feel sad. As a well-known and senior doctor at Sanjeevani he had to visit the place with his former Dean to discuss some important negotiations. So , he had to move to Delhi for a week. He was on a paternal leave since Spruha was eight months pregnant. But this thing being important , his presence was required. Two-and-a-half years of blissful marriage life , has turned out to be more than loving Spruha had ever thought. She have had got a new family—which she called hers , a cute little sister-in-law with a handsome husband. Their love multiplied every time more than ever. Both the lovey-dovey couple was habitual of sleeping in eachother's embrace and now that her fluffy pillow won't be with her that too for a week!! She was more than pissed!! He still remembers that day he said this news to her and how she was angry on him and didn't eat food from his hands and slept with her mother-in-law for two freaking days!!! All over , a pregnant Spruha was a sight to see. Varad loved her glowing chubby cheeks and her cute plumpy lips and beautiful face. Her hormones made her do funny things which she never tried in her life. Sometimes she would be cranky , grumpy , sometimes happy , sometimes gloomy and then all of a sudden she used to cry. What had amazed Varad was she was being more horny during this time. Being horny reminds him of that one fine day when the family had planned for a home theatre and watch a movie together. Turns out that Spruha found the movie boring , It was when Spruha was ranting about how he has started to ignore and he would not touch her willingly. She ranted about how he didn't made love to her all the while as they did in the initial days of their marriage. When talking this , she didn't had realised others presence too—which made it too embarrassing. Ohh and the way she talked with variations and too loud made everyone laugh at the cute couple. Ouch! How embarrassing it would be to listen his pregnant wife's ranting on their sex life—which had to be confidential all the things inside their bedroom! Geez!! It was never ever varad was seen all red in front of his family followed by a lot of teasings. Varad has always loved , loves and will always love his wife forever. She was his everything and he loved her alot. This pregnancy was not at all planned but they had this to them. They wanted this to happen and there were no regrets. He was being all worried about as it was the most crucial period during her first trimester. Not that he didn't want to love her. The thing is he wanted to—that too more than ever! But he knew , he was an insatiable beast! In his passion he didn't wanted to hurt his wife. She was his life. " Baby!! I love you!!! See just some more minutes and I'll be with you! " He said with puppy eyes looking at his wife who was glaring at him. But then the next second the phone was dropped and he heard her shouts. Which were being more loud and painful. " Spruha!!! Baby!!!! Talk to me!!! What happened?? Darling , is everything fine??? " He panicked as he didn't get the response. " Ahhh varad , it hurts. Ouch!!! Ohh varad help me!! Ahh it hurts " she kept shouting , he could hear her loud cries  and his heart sanked to hear that. He was in dilemma not knowing what to do. Tears gathered his eyes and he was crying. Then he heard some sounds. He could see dimple on the screen. " Bhai!! I think bhabhi's water broke , she's in labour. We are heading to the hospital , you join us soon. " She informed her brother who nodded meekly. He couldn't understand what to do. Taking a cab , he rushed for the hospital. They had enrolled her name in the same hospital they worked. Dr. Riya a fellow gynaecologist and a good friend of Spruha was her attending doctor. He cursed the traffic blocking his ways. He was crying constantly , the driver seemed to understand him and safely guarded towards the hospital soon. " Thankyou bhaiya " he said giving the money not bothering for an exchange and ran towards the hospital. Seeing him run through the wards everyone were shocked to see him. He was messed. His blue shirt was messed with his hairs , he was still crying. He ran through the wards asking for his wife. One of his fellow doctor of the gynaecology department saw him. He then remembered Dr. Riya saying about Spruha's pregnancy and he went to varad to help him. " Hey! Dr. Varad? Don't worry. Your wife is on the second floor , left side room no.204. Come I'll take you , please don't panick. " He said and his words calmed him. Never in his life had he thought this. He had heard his mother say first pregnancies are difficult to handle and there's a lot of pain to the mother. A husband's moral support is required at that time. They need to go through this together. He remembered his mother's words and he so regretted going to Delhi leaving his wife and their baby alone. Soon he reached the room where Spruha's delivery was taken place. The hospital don't allow the husbands often. But it was Spruha's wish to have varad with her during her delivery—to face and see it along with her , the difficulties she would be facing. He saw his mother praying and his dad and sister were there too. He then , got changed into another crub , moving in. His heart skipped a few beats to see his shouting , sweating tired wife who was trying to give birth to their child. He went towards her and kissed her forehead. " Baby I'm here!!! " He assured her and he felt her calm in his presence. She smiled at him lazily , her eyes tired. He took her hand in his and she held it tight. " We are in this together! " He said. Soon , Dr. Riya came. " Spruha! You need to push now dear , you're dilated , it's time for the baby to come out! " She said and both varad and Spruha nodded. All the while , she held his hand tight not leaving him telling him to stay with her and he was. She digged her nails into his palms shouting and crying. He cooed her with pleasant words and encouraged her to push. She cursed incoherent words to him shouting at him. But he took it all! He stayed by her side and saw the hardship his wife had gone through. Soon , a small baby cry was heard and the doctor congratulated the couple saying " it's a girl!!! " And ohhh they were blessed!!! Varad's eyes had happy tears and he thanked dear god for the blessing!! Spruha was layed there tired and exhausted , her eyes shut. The nurse  bought the baby cleaned and wrapped in a soft cotton cloth. She gave the baby to its mother. Having their baby in their hands , both were happy to see. Soon , the family came in congratulating them and seeing the baby. The now new parents were left alone in the room with their new born baby. Holding her close to her heart , Spruha kissed the baby. Her eyes watered and she was so insanely happy , she still couldn't believe it was their cute little world!!! " Varad!!! Our baby! Look your princess!!! She's our creation!!  " She said to him smiling who had tears in his eyes. Varad has ways wanted a princess just like his sweetheart! " Yess!! Our Princess!! " he said kissing the top of her head. He settled besides her on the bed hugging both the babies of him in his arms. " I'm so happy!! " She said kissing his cheek. " Thankyou baby , for being there for me whenever I needed you. Thankyou for taking care of me , handling my mood swings and tortures!! And I'm so sorry to make you trouble!! But you're mine and I love you so much!!! " She said looking into his eyes. " You're my jaan!! No worries but I loved the horny and romantic Spruha more!!! " He said winking making her blush. In their 2.5 years of marriage , he still manages to make her blush! Glad..!! " Look!! , She has the same mesmerizing brown orbs like you! Which I like to get drown into! " She said looking at their baby's doe eyes. " Haha , yes!!  And this small nose!! Just like you!! " And she smiled. " She is SHUKRA! Our shukra!! — our bright , shining star!! ✨ " Varad said looking at his princess. " Right! SHUKRA VARAD MALHOTRA! " said Spruha kissing the top of her baby's head.
