Met by Destiny
PART- III
"çünkü sana olan aÅkım kelimelerden daha yüksek, susmaya karar verdim."
"Because my love for you is higher than words, I have decided to fall silent."

"Why did you get out of the car?" Farhan demanded grabbing my arm, turning me towards him.
I was about to ask him again what backup he and bilal bhai were talking about before I came but I stopped when I noticed a small red laser dot on Farhan's shoulder, it was almost invisible in this dark parking, but somehow it caught my eye,
Who could have possibly playing with a laser in a empty parking lot?
Farhan was asking me to go back but my eyes followed the direction of the laser, I squint my eyes to see clearly, it was difficult to spot at first in the dark,
But my eyes widened, as I noticed a dark hunched figure hiden in the terrace of the opposite building.
The red dot was shining near his hand, when I tried to squint my eyes, I realised what it could be,
Before my brain could register anything and before I knew what I was doing, I screamed and pushed Farhan back.
"Move back!" I screamed and pushed him back with me, in the opposite direction making bilal bhai stumble a little with him.
A large crash of the glass and the alarm of the car went off as the bullet hit a car which was at the back of the parking lot.
My heart was thudding dangerously against my chest and I hugged Farhan tightly, shivering from the cold weather and as well as thinking about what could've happened.
"Hajra no, stay in the car don't even think of coming outside!" I heard Bilal bhai yell at hajra and thudding footsteps of him faded away.
My ears kept ringing from the sound of bullet which whizzed past us, if it had been even a second late, the bullet could've hit Farhan.
And he-
I felt Farhan rubbing my back and kept saying something, but I couldn't hear him, I can see his mouth moving, speaking something, but I could only hear the ringing of the bullet.
I stumble as I was pushed forward in a warm chest, the ringing going off in my ears,
"Ayesha, Ayesha relax, it's okay." I felt warm arms wrapping around me, rubbing my back soothingly.
I looked at with wide eyes as my surroundings started to clear, I grabbed his face in my hands,
Tears springing my eyes,
"It was a gun." I whisper hoarsely, "He had a gun Farhan."
"Shh, relax nothing happened alright, I am fine relax." Farhan whispered grabbing my wrists,
"It could've- he could...you-" my breath shortening thinking of the consequences.
"Nothing happened Ayesha, I need you to calm down and breath, please." He instructed and I try to mirror his actions.
I felt his cold fingers wiping my face, realising I have been crying. Farhan gazed at me softly and took hold of my hand.
"We need to get out of here, alright." he says guiding me back to the car, this time watching carefully all his sides and made me sit in the car and strapped the belt on my seat, if this was another time I would've objected but this time I am too shaken up to even tell anything.
Farhan rounded the car and climbed in the driver's seat and drove out of the parking lot briskly.
He took some different routes which was completely unknown to me, but I didn't wanted to question him.
"Hajra and bilal bhai?" I asked remembering them.
"They left already." he answered curtly concentrated on his driving.
"Atleast call them and ask where they are." I ask concerned about hajra and baby dani.
"I know where they are." he answered gripping the steering wheel tightly. "We are on the right road."
I could still feel my legs shivering. Watching someone shoot in movies is a different thing and witnessing it is a whole level of horror and panic.
Farhan took a sharp right turn, and then he took some different routes to an area which was a little secluded and the roads seemed uneven. Soon he stopped infront of some shattered parking shade which looked like no one uses it.
He parked the car over there and climbed out of the car and opened the the car trunk started rummaging. I was still seated in the car, watching the eerie street, too afraid to even make a noise, the street looked very dangerous in this darkness. I heard Farhan closing the car trunk with a bang, I was startled as he opened my side of the door and unbuckled my seat belt and helped me come out of the car. He grabbed my hand and started walking towards those deserted streets which resembled those which you see in newspapers with dead bodies in it.
"Why are we here? What is this place?" I asked Farhan, my voice echoing in the darkness of the night.
"I will tell you later, for now just follow me." He instructed walking us into a dark alley suddenly. I grabbed his hand more tightly, afraid of the eerie alleyway.
I shivered and pulled my coat more tightly, the darkness of the alley and the weather both gave me chills, and I didn't liked both of them.
Farhan kept walking for a few minutes and a opening to the street came into our way, only one side of the street light was on which kept flickering from time to time.
Just when I thought we would be leaving this alley Farhan suddenly backed up against the wall along with me and motioned me to be quiet.
He took out something from waistband, as the streetlight shone on him, I gasped,
"Why do you have a gun?" I whispered.
"Shh,"
"What?" I whispered offendedly,
"Quite." He whispers back.
As if I was screaming.
I grabbed Farhan's hand more tightly, hearing some footsteps from other end of the alley, like someone was walking on the pavement.
I heard a soft click, Next few moments were blur for me as my brain processed everything slowly. A man showed up from the other side of the alley and he had a gun with him which he pointed at us. I closed my eyes as I heard a few gunshots going off, when I opened I saw the man laying down clutching his arm. Farhan wasted no time and started running along with me, my heart was beating frantically against my chest and my body seemed numb, I don't know where Farhan was taking me, my legs seemed too heavy to run with Farhan, yet he still kept dragging me.
A man riding a bike came infront of us, and before he could do anything he was laying down under his bike after a gunshot was heard. I turned my head and was shocked to see a gun in Farhan's hand in the direction of the man, he shooted him at his leg again. My eyes widened in horror looking at him.
He was shooting as he was professional. His stance and posture looked like this was all normal for him. He started dragging me again and turned into another alley, adrenaline pumped in me while running my heel got struck in something and my ankle twisted painfully, pain shooted in my leg. I winced but kept running with Farhan, he took some turn in another alleyway and we both ended up infront of a what looked like a public washroom's door.
Before I could process he opened the wooden door and dragged me inside and closed the door, to my surprise this wasn't a washroom, it was a small cramped up space, with another door in front of us, Farhan closed the door from which we entered and I grabbed his arm,
"What is this Farhan? Why did you bring me here?" I whispered yelled at him.
"Wait a second." he whispered.
He moved me aside and I was shocked for the nenth time today, as I saw a small black half of my height's gate. He knocked four times on the gate with a pattern and after some time the gate opened revealing a young man who was grinning.
"Took your sweet time FB." he grinned.
"Not now Yousuf," Farhan muttered pushing him aside and gestured me to go in,
"What are we doing?" I asked horrified,
"We don't bite bhabhi, you can come in our cave," the boy, Yousuf grinned again from the half gate,
I felt Farhan's hand on my lower back, "Come on, get in. I will explain everything."
Reluctantly I bend down and stepped inside, as I stood to my full height once inside, I was yet again shocked to see us standing on what looked like a backyard of a house.
"What is this?" I muttered to myself.
"Welcome aboard bhabhi, FB." the boy who opened the gate, grinned widening his arms.
"Yousuf, not in a mood right now." Farhan muttered and started walking with my hand in his, towards the house.
"When are you in mood FB?" The boy yousuf muttered.
Farhan entered inside the house, opening the sliding door of the backyard. I was following him like some lost puppy. The house was so well furnished, it looked like I was here in some kardashian's house. Farhan brought me into a what looked like a living room, and I gasped seeing Hajra casually seated in the sofa, she notices me and waves at me, after setting aside her bowl of popcorn.
And she is wearing a night suit. Like the ones you were on a cozy night out with friends.
"Hey, my friend. We meet again." Hajra grins, as if we just didn't ran away like maniacs and got chased by men with guns.
I look around to see, bilal bhai and also another boy, who was seated next to him.
"This is Hasnain, bhabhi." Bilal bhai says pointing at the guy next to him. Who just nodded at me.
"Bhabhi is here for the first time. Guys show some courtesy." Yousuf jogs in front of me, and stands in front of them,
He pats a couch next to Hajra, "Please, have a seat."
I looked all of them weirdly not knowing what to say, I felt Farhan walking up beside me,
"Have a seat, they all are my friends."
I raise an eyebrow at him, he nodded towards the couch, guiding me to it,
Now that my adrenaline wore off, I winced painfully as I took a step,
Farhan snaps his head at me, "What happened?" He asks looking at my feet.
"Nothing." I muttered defensively and winced again as I moved my feet. He looked down at my feet and swore under his breath.
"Come here," he said and made me sit on the sofa.
"Oh god, don't tell me Farhan you made her run in those heels." hajra said horrifyingly sitting next to me.
I removed my heels and winced seeing small blisters already forming on my toes. I knew wearing new heels were always a wrong choice. And heels while running? Horrifying. And both happened to me. What am I even supposed to say? Insufferable know-it-all pain? Accurate.
Both of my toes are dangerously red because of running in heels, and my right ankle was throbbing in pain.
I heard Hajra gasp and Farhan bend down and examined my ankle.
"Oh my Farhan you git, why did you make her run in heels?" Hajra muttered angrily looking down at my ankle.
"I didn't want this to happen either, but we were being chased alright." Farhan snapped. He pressed my ankle and I winced clutching his shoulder.
Chased? Yeah we were some wanted prisoners who were running from cops? No.
"I don't think so it's bad, Right?" I heard Bilal mutter next to Farhan.
Hajra swiftly glared at her husband, "Wear heels and twist your ankle, then I will ask you about it."
"I am sorry, it's really bad. Too bad, life threatening bad, apologies, bhabhi." Bilal says raising his hands up, looking genuinely scared of his wife.
"Farhan let's take her to the infirmary." Hajra says and Farhan nods, helping me stand up.
Hajra grabbed my other hand and helped me walk to their infirmary.
Farhan pushed open a door with his shoulder, and- do I need to say I was shocked again to see, not just an infirmary over here, but it looked like a whole doctor's clinic, with every equipment.
"There is even a clinic here?" I muttered looking around.
"Yes, we all are talented like that," Hajra says making me sit on a medical bed, and helped me put my feet up,
"Thank you, Hajra- but what-"
"Alright dums move aside, Doctor alert, give me my way," I heard the voice of the same boy, Yousuf who opened the gate, he stood beside Farhan with an first aid kit. He switched on some lights, making the room brighter,
He wore latex gloves in his hands and- wait is he wearing a white coat too?
"Family can go sit in the waiting area sir, you all have to give patient some space." Yousuf said wearing his glasses. Farhan glared at him, "Kidding." he muttered opening the box,
"What is going on?" I almost cry,
Yousuf blinked at me, looking back at Farhan and Hajra, he pointed to my ankle, "Let's fix and then talk? That's the plan captain?"
"I hope that's the plan." Hajra mutters, glaring at Farhan.
"Do your work, Yousuf." Farhan sighs,
Yousuf examines my ankle, and presses at a few spots, "I don't think any major ligaments are damaged, The pain should also go away in two to three days, For now I am just applying a ointment and wrapping up your ankle. Compression will make it better." He picks up a Adhesive bandage and starts rolling it around my ankle.
"Do we need to do any x-rays or scans?" Farhan asks stepping forward.
"Absolutely not." Yousuf says distractedly wrapping the bandage.
"After going home, you can use an ice pack and if the pain continues, you should consult a good doctor and do not come up to my neck." Yousuf says finishing up bandaging my ankle.
"Thank you." I say,
"And for the blisters, I will recommend you using Neosporin."
"Isn't bacitracin much better?" I ask lowering my feet on the bed.
"Much better," he nods taking off his gloves, "How do you know about it?"
"She's a pharmacy major, Yousuf." Hajra chimes,
Yousuf raises his eyebrows, "I am impressed. We can make a good team, right FB?"
"How longer the bandage stays?" Farhan asks completely ignoring him.
"Not longer but keep it atleast for five days." Yousuf takes off his glasses, tucking it on his coat's pocket. "And that would be fifty dollars."
Hajra gasps, "You are way too expensive, doc."
Yousuf scoffs, "Occupation demands money."
"Anyway, if we are done, Yousuf let's go, let's give the patient and the family some alone time." Hajra says before dragging Yousuf out with her.
"Farhan," I called him, he leaned against the table and sighed looking down,
"What is happening, where am I?" I ask,
The minute we left Sania's wedding, I did not witness any single second where I was not shocked.
"Is this your same business rival, that cult owner?" I ask, and he remained silent.
"Your business rival hates you so much, that he wants to kill you and your family too?" I ask stepping down from the bed.
"Business can be like this too, you get many rivalries on your way." He says looking at me, "Why are you walking, sit down."
I scoff, "Really? My father is a lawyer Farhan, he doesn't get threats like you do." I hop towards him.
"Ayesha, sit down." He says pushing a chair forward.
"And you had a gun Farhan." I exclaimed shockingly remembering that.
"Your posture, your way of fighting it was like you were trained for this, like you know how to use a gun like on back of your hand." I gasped reminiscing,
If I weren't wrong, I saw a small flicker of shock in his eyes, which he masked it quickly. He grabbed my arms and made me sit on a chair,
"You had your ankle twisted, sit down." He says moving back,
"It depends on people how they do their business, either with all loyalty and honesty or with dirty games." He explains, leaning back on the table.
"So you play dirty games?" I raise an eyebrow,
"Not me," he sighs, "him. He's a psychopath."
"But if he- he is so psychotic why don't you complain to police, he is levelling to threaten your life now." I voice my concern.
He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose.
"It isn't so easy, things doesn't work like this."
His answer confuses me more, making my head spin.
"You still haven't answered me about you having a gun." I ask,
"It's for safety, for the situations similar to today."
"Who's house is this?" I asked pointing around, "You have a random entrance from an alley, and also a clinic, what's next, torture cells?"
"Why are you firing questions on me today?" he snaps,
"Well it isn't my fault that you left me with so many unanswered questions with your behaviour." I snapped back.
He sighed again. I was mad today, every time Farhan just couldn't come and direct everything on me.
"This is the place, we come here for our safety, if someone attacked us, this house is in the most secure area where no one can find us."
"It has happened before also? From how long is this happening?" I asked flabbergasted, "And you have a safety house built, it couldn't be for one person, tell me what have you done?"
"What do you expect me to answer?" He pushes back his hair,
"The truth, maybe?"
"Never mind," he mutters.
"Never mind, what? Farhan your answers are giving me other suspicions."
"What kind of suspicions, may I ask?" He asks raising an eyebrow at me,
"Well for one, you could be a..drug dealer." I blurted out. "Explains the hide out."
"Drug dealer? Seriously out of all?" He amuses,
He was founding it amusing?
"You need to rest now." He says getting near me.
"And you need to answer my questions."
"Ask something else." He sighs,
I think for a while, "Take me home, then."
"Other than that?"
"No. You already took my one hour of my friends wedding, made me late. And dragged me out of there without letting me give them an explanation."
"You don't need to explain them if they are your friends."
"They are my friends, not mind readers to know that." I scoff.
"And who are your friends?" He raised an eyebrow, "I mean why are they here? They do hideouts with you?"
"Yes, they do." He replies.
"Whatever. Now take me home. Or else I would go to my parents house." I stood up.
Farhan looked down at my bandaged feet, "Like that?"
"Yes, or I might stay in a hotel. But I will leave." I hop with difficulty towards the door.
Farhan grabbed my arm as I tried to open the door, "Don't be stubborn and hear me out."
"Say it, then." I turn back.
"Look, we can't go when there is danger out, I can't risk it. We need to stay the night here." He sighs looking at my face.
"Danger could be there tomorrow too." I reply,
"It doesn't. I know that."
I look at him for a moment and then lean on the door, "Does this house have normal rooms then?"
"Yeah, just down the hall."
I click my tongue, "I do not have my clothes."
"Hajra have spares." He replies.
I huff a breath as he opens the door for me to walk out, "You don't give me a choice, do you?"
I walk out, taking the support of the wall,
"This way." He says pointing down the hall.
I glare at him as he grabs my arm and help me walk,
I am going to find out what he does, if not by his words, then by my method.
