Besides, I donât have any evidence now, Grace thought, At the thought of this, Grace stopped thinking about it. âItâs nothing. Maybe because Iâm in a bad mood.
I beg you not to make things difficult for Ms. Patel.â
After looking at her for a few seconds, Brian walked back to his office chair and said calmly, âRest for a while.â
Grace did not want to stay in his office. She was also afraid that she would affect Nancyâs work if she went out, nor did she want to go back and face Louise.
After hesitating for a moment, Grace found a chair furthest away from Brian in his office and sat down.
Grace casually picked up the magazine on the table and flipped through a few pages, but she could not read anything.
Out of the corner of his eye, Brian saw Graceâs absentâmindedness. His long fingers rhythmically twirled the hand.

Grace looked at Brian and thought of something. Her gaze changed slightly. âForget it. Iâll go back myself later.â
Brian frowned. âGrace, are you throwing another tantrum?â

âNancy, Iâm leaving now. Thank you for today.â
Nancy saw that Graceâs face was frighteningly pale. Nancy immediately stood up and stopped her.
âWhere are you going? Do you still want to run alone in this state?â
Grace smiled. She felt cool liquid slowly seeping out of the corners of her eyes. âIâm fine.â
Nancy refused to allow Grace to leave. She pulled on Grace and forced her to sit on the chair. âBe good. Iâll get off work in ten minutes. Iâll send you back later.â
Grace did not refuse and said gratefully, âNancy, thank you.â
Not long after, Brian came out of the office. He gave off an oppressive air. Wherever he went, he seemed to be able to bring a gust of cold air with him.
