Chapter 121
Falling for My Contractual Wife
Daisy walked into the ward and smiled at Grace. As she spoke, she put down the lunch box.
âGrace, what happened to you? Why were you hospitalized?â
Grace locked at the kind smile on Daisyâs face and said in a daze, âThe day I left, I caught a cold because I got caught in the rain.â
âHow could you be so careless?â Daisy scolded as she opened the lunch box.
âYou must be hungry. Come, letâs eat.â Daisy handed fork to her.
Grace glanced at the food in the lunch box. It was very spicy and there was no meat. It did not look like it was for a patient at all.
She looked up at Daisy âWhatâs wrong?â
Grace smiled. âItâs nothing. Itâs just that I havenât eaten your cooking in a long time.â
Although the food Daisy made for her was neither nutritious nor suitable for sick people to eat, Grace could not help but feel a lump in her throat when she thought about how Daisy rarely cared for her over the years.
It could be said that she had not received much maternal love from Daisy since she was young.
It would be a lie to say she did not crave Daisyâs maternal love.
Grace ate the food in the bowl. She didnât know if it was because the food was spicy or something, but tears flowed down her face.
âWhatâs wrong with you? Why are you crying?â
Grace smiled and shook her head. âIâm not crying. Itâs too spicy.â
Daisy smiled and looked around the ward absentâmindedly.
Seeing Graceâs suitcase under the bed, Daisy asked, âWhen are you leaving the hospital?â
âAfter two more days.
Daisy nodded. âOh.â
After Grace finished her meal, Justin came.
Justin walked into the ward and nodded at Daisy. âHello, Mrs. Sherman.â
Daisy looked up at him. âYouâ¦.you areâ¦

A smile appeared on Daisyâs face. âOh, youâre Graceâs friend. How should I address you?â
âMy name is Justin Vance, Justin said politely.
âDr. Vance, itâs all thanks to you for taking care of our Gracel Dr. Vance is so young. You wouldnât have a girlfriend yet, would you?â
Grace frowned. Afraid that Daisy would say something out of line again, Grace hurriedly stopped her. âMom!â

Justin nodded. âYes, not yet.â
Daisyâs eyes darted between Justin and Grace as if she understood something.
âBy the way, Dr. Vance, if itâs convenient for you, leave me your contact number. If Grace feels uncomfortable when she goes home, I can consult you!
Justin did not refuse and nodded. âOkay.
Grace massaged her temples. âMom, Dr. Vance is usually very busy. Why did you want his phone number? If Iâm sick, wouldnât I know that I needed to go to the hospital?â
Daisy glared at her. âShut up. What do What do you know?â
Grace sighed. She knew Daisyâs personality. âShe definitely has other motives for asking for Justinâs number, Grace thought.
After Justin gave the phone number to Daisy, he looked at her seriously and said, âMrs. Sherman, Graceâs health is very poor and her emotions are very unstable. She even had moderate depression a while ago. Do you know about this?â
Daisy was saving Justinâs phone number. When she heard him speak, she squinted at the screen and asked, ââ¦Huh? What did you say?â
âI said, Grace is not in good health. She even suffered from depression previously. Please donât scold her often in the future.â
