Grace felt annoyed and frowned when she heard that voice. She turned around and saw Avs arrogantly sitting by the swimming pool Grace took a deep breath. Then, she slowly walked over, asking âMiss Adkins, is there anything I can do for you?
Melvin noticed that Ava was going to boss around Grace. Thus, he hurriedly followed Grace and walked over Ava raised her chin at Grace and ordered condescendingly, âMy servants will deliver my clothes later.
Get prepared. You are going to take my baggage to my room and arrange everythingâ
Before Grace could speak, Melvin took the first step to reply, âI am sorry, Miss Adkins. Grace is injured and is off today. This is Mr. Brianâs order.â
Ava glared at Melvin and fired back. âSeriously? Is this supposed to be an injury? And now she gets a day off for that? Sheâs just a maid! Well, she does not seem qualified to be a maid. She better disappear before the embarrasses herself even morelâ
Hearing Avaâs harsh words, Melvin could not help but defend Grace, âMiss Adkins, trust me Every maid working here has passed the Francis familyâs strict screening. Whether Grace is qualified for her job is up to Mr. Brian.â
Grace did not want Melvin to offend Ava because of her. Thus, she stopped Melvin and said, âMelvin, Iâve got this. Please give us some momentsâ
Ava glared at Melvin and thought, The Francis familyâs servant and maid are so rude! Why do they think they can talk to me like that?
After Melvin left, Grace looked at Ava and said, âMiss Adkins, It seems that you have immense hostility toward me.â
âHumph!â Ava disdainfully snorted. Then, she replied, âYeah. I donât like you. What about it?â
Grace was confused and asked, âWhat did I do? Why do you think that way?â
Ava stared at Grace with disgust and shouted, âHumph! Because you have a seductive appearance!
Do you think I donât know that you are planning how to make Brian fall for you?â
Grace smiled and replied coldly. âMiss Adkins, with all due respect, your elder sister is the future Mrs.
Francis. However, you look more nervous than your sister. I think it is you who are trying to seduce your sisterâs man!â
Ava hated the most when someone mentioned Louise was Brianâs fiancée!
Grace continued, âMiss Adkins, Iâve been with Mr. Brian for some time. Here is my kind reminder. Mr.
Brian has no interest in condescending women like you. You should probably learn more from your sister.â
Ava was irrigated and shouted, âWhat do you mean? Are you saying Louise is better than me? Iâm telling you! If I canât get Brian, so canât you!â
Grace could not help but burst out laughing when she heard Avaâs words.
Ava immediately realized she revealed her purpose before Grace. She was so annoyed that she bit her lower lip, crying. âWhat are you laughing at? Iâm warning you! Do not say a word before Louise!â

Ava was so furious that she stomped. She thought, âGrace doesnât act like a regular maid. She talks and behaves as if sheâs one of the Francis family. How can Louise tolerate with her?â
Brian had not seen Grace since he went home after work. Instead, Ava kept talking in the living. She successfully annoyed. Brian and gave him a headache. Thus, Brian went upstairs to his room.
Grace did not show up when dinner time approached.
Brian sat at the table, lost in thought. He did not even realize when Louise served his favorite dish onto his plate.
Louise kept observing Brianâs expression. Noticing Brian was a bit off to her, Louise asked, âBrian, are you okay?â
Brian lowered his head and glanced at the food on his plate. He frowned and suddenly ordered Melvin, âAsk Grace to be here right now.â
Melvin replied, âMr. Brian. Grace is having a rest. What do you need from her?â
