Chapter 85
Falling for My Contractual Wife
Just as Louise was about to leave, she glanced at Graceâs phone by the bed. She rolled her eyes and turned to look at Grace as she asked, âIâm a little thirsty. Do you have any water here?â
Grace looked at her in surprise. âYes,â she replied, but she did not believe that Louise was willing to drink the water here.
âCan I have some?â
Grace pursed her lips but agreed, âOf course, but I only have my own cup here.â
Louise looked at the water dispenser at the side and smiled. âItâs okay, I donât mind.â
As she spoke, she walked to the water dispenser and filled a cup with water. She held the cup and pretended to look around the room as she slowly walked to the bed.
âAre there mosquitoes here at night?â
Grace said indifferently, âNo.â
Louise nodded and sat down next to Graceâs phone. Just as she was about to drink some water, her hand suddenly trembled.
All the water in the cup was poured onto the phone.
Louise exclaimed, âGrace, Iâm sorry. I wet your bedsheets.â
Grace frowned and took a look. Wetting her bedsheets was just a small matter! However, her phone probably couldnât be used anymore!
She hurriedly ran over and picked up her phone.
She tapped the screen, and it still lit up. She wiped the water off her phone and shook it twice. When she unlocked it again, she realized the water had seeped into the screen.
Louise looked anxious. âGrace, howâs your phone? Iâm sorry, I didnât do it on purpose.â
Grace pursed her lips and shook her head. âItâs fine.â
She continued to shake her phone, but the screen had completely turned black, leaving only rows of blue and green lights.
âI really didnât do it on purpose. Why donât I help you take it out and fix it?â
Grace shook her head without a second thought. âNo need.â
She felt that Louise must have deliberately damaged her phone. Perhaps she wanted her to hand over her phone so that she could do something.
Thinking of this possibility, Grace decided not to give her phone to Louise no matter what, âThank you for the offer, Miss Adkins, but I donât have anything to do here, so I donât need a phone.â
dd MM M Seeing her persistence, Louise apologized again and turned to leave.
Louise turned around and her expression instantly darkened.
She quickly walked out of the basement and returned to her room. She took off her mask and clothes and threw them into the trash can.
Then, she went to the bathroom to take a shower before feeling a little more comfortable.
Thinking about how she had just spoken to a disgusting woman who hadnât showered for a week and had defecated everywhere, she lost her appetite.
She sat in front of the mirror and looked at her face carefully.
There were two pimples on her forehead, and the pores on her face were a little large. Her skin was even worse than that of the woman who had not showered for a week!
She was so ar angry that she applied two masks before applying some clean makeup which made it look like it was her bare face. Only then was she slightly satisfied.
When she went downstairs for lunch, she caught a glimpse of a maid serving food for Grace in the kitchen.
She put down her fork and walked into the kitchen. âI knocked over a cup of coffee in my room just now. Help me clean it up first.â
The maid immediately stopped her work and said, âAlright, Iâll go now.â
Louise nodded slightly. âLet me help you pack the food.â
âThereâs no need for that. Miss Adkins, you can go and eat first. Iâll do it.â
Louise smiled gently and pushed her out of the kitchen. âItâs nothing. I can help you.â
After maid left, she glanced around the kitchen before her gaze landed on the trash can..
