Chapter twenty-three

I want you close

Airport, flight.

The week has passed, and it was the day. He drove me to the airport and instructed me with everything I could need to know because I am clueless since I have never traveled before. But there is a time for everything right? Nothing to be scared of.

"Okay I am scared," I admitted.

"you are going to be fine," he assured.

He walked with me until he wasn't allowed to cross, so he stood, waiting for me to go in.

"Eleanor," he called.

I turned around to face him, with a smile still on my face. Excited for the trip. "Hm?"

"Come here," he said softly as he pulled me out of the line, so people would be able to walk through. He looked at me, debating "have fun."

I smiled wide, "thank you!" But before I walked away, I realized that was not what he intended to say. "Tell me," I said. "What is it?"

He stared at me, questions showing on his eyes clearly confused about how I noticed. With the long time I have spent with Clyde, I started to understand him and his unreadable expressions. "What is it?" I repeated, still looking up at him since he was quite tall.

"Do you..." He paused, I nodded in encouragement for him to speak. "Do you remember when I told you 'Go out there and find the love of your life, after all, I am your fiancé just by paper and word' ?" he mocked himself, I nodded with a chuckle. "Well, I don't want you to do that anymore."

I looked at him puzzled, trying to understand what his green eyes was telling me, but I couldn't. Or perhaps I did not want to understand. I gave him a quick smile before I walked back into the line and soon, through every other security.

My flight was fun with a nice girl my age on the seat next to mine. We talked for the whole flight and spent the rest watching the movies she suggested. She was shocked how i have never watched a movie before.

"Your first plane flight in first class?" She questioned, I nodded. Apparently there are different seats in the plane, and the one we sat at is first class. She told me she was meant to be back there, but a mix of happened which led her to sit here, which she is happy about. "You must be Royal."

"I am," I smiled, she laughed. Looks like she thinks I am joking, so I did not bother to correct her.

When the plane boarded, she asked for my phone number. She said that we would have so much fun there; have a couple of 'girls night out' before my vacation ends.

"I do not have a phone," i paused, remembering. "Wait yes I do." I got my phone out, she chuckled at me. "I don't know how to use it, I just got it. It only has my fiance's phone, house and work numbers." Saying 'fiance' felt weird.

"Toxic," she said.

I looked at her puzzled, then I realized what she meant. "No, no," I said. "I never really needed one," I explained. "He forced me to have one."

"Oh okay," she gave me the phone when she was done. She saved her number under her name 'zoey' in my contacts.
