Chapter 2621: Divine Phoenix Ancestral Realm (1)

The Divine Phoenix, Feng Yu, stood at the edge of the vast expanse, her phoenix eyes gazing upon a distant, tiny star, its crimson glow a faint flicker in the cosmic darkness. This was the Northern Expanse, a desolate region at the very edge of the Primal Chaos, a place where stars were sparse, and the void stretched endlessly in all directions.
And that tiny red star, barely visible to the naked eye, was her destination, the place she had been searching for countless years-the Divine Phoenix Ancestral Ground.
"Found it," she murmured to herself.
A wave of sorrow washed over her as she gazed upon the dilapidated state of her ancestral home. Once, it had been a magnificent realm, a vibrant world teeming with life and energy, the heart of the Divine Phoenix Clan, a place of unparalleled beauty and power.
Now, it was a wasteland, a barren husk of its former glory, its once-lush forests reduced to ash, its majestic mountains crumbled into dust, its crystal-clear rivers dried up into cracked earth. The vibrant energy that had once pulsed through the realm was gone, replaced by a desolate silence, a chilling emptiness that spoke of a tragedy long past.
The Primordial War, the cataclysmic conflict that had ravaged the Primal Chaos eons ago, had left its mark on the Divine Phoenix Ancestral Ground, shattering its foundations,
extinguishing its life force, reducing it to a shadow of its former glory.
Feng Yu closed her eyes, her heart heavy with sorrow and regret. The memory of the glory days of the past flashed across her mind like a movie.
A moment later, she opened her eyes, her gaze fixed on the distant red star. With a flash, she appeared above the sky of the star. Her gaze swept over the ruined terrain, searching for any sign of life, any flicker of hope.
Unfortunately, there was nothing. Only dust, ash, and the ghosts of a forgotten past.
Feng Yu landed on a cracked, barren plain, her talons digging into the parched earth. She closed her eyes, her senses reaching out, trying to connect with the lingering essence of the Divine Phoenix, to find a spark of life that might still remain.
And then, she felt it. A faint flicker, a whisper of energy, hidden deep beneath the surface, a spark of hope that refused to be extinguished.
She opened her eyes, her gaze fixed on a small, withered tree, its branches bare, its trunk gnarled and twisted. But within its core, she could sense a faint pulse of life, a spark of the Divine Phoenix's essence, a testament to the resilience of her ancestors.
Without a doubt, this must be the Divine Phoenix Mother Tree!
Feng Yu's heart sank. She thought that this place was remote enough, but it seemed these creatures of chaos had a good sense of smell.
Feng Yu's eyes turned cold. Her figure flashed, leaving a crimson trail behind as she
reappeared in the vast space outside the star.
The Shadow Demons paused, their eyes fixed on Feng Yu, their forms shifting and contorting
as if assessing their opponent.
"Oh? The Divine Phoenix?" one of the Shadow Demons spoke up. Its eyes stared at the red star behind Feng Yu.
Feng Yu stared at them coldly, her crimson aura gradually surging.
The leader of the Shadow Demons stared at Feng Yu for a moment and spoke up. "Go."
The horde of creatures of chaos behind it instantly surged forward, their bodies shimmering with dark energy.
Feng Yu's eyes narrowed, her expression hardening. With a wave of her hand, she unleashed a torrent of flames, the fiery energy surging towards the Shadow Demons, incinerating
everything in its path.
"ROAR!" The Shadow Demons roared as they conjured a dark barrier to block Feng Yu's flames while launching a counterattack.
BOOM!
The phoenix flames crashed onto the dark barrier, consuming everything.
The remaining Shadow Demons arrived beside Feng Yu and raised their claws toward her.
"Kill!"
