Chapter 26: Turned

Continuing from last chapter...

Charlie and Stan continued to slice and blast their way through the hordes of demons making it to a big building. They step inside to see the Marauder standing there taunting him. Stan bolted towards him and went to cut him with the crucible but it just went through not damaging him.

Stan: Wh-What the hell?

The Marauder: Oh Slayer, I expected more from you.

Stan looked behind him to see the Marauder holding Charlie up by the neck. He put a hand on her head and proceeded to squeeze it.

The Marauder: I wonder what would happen if I were to do this?

Charlie: Pleas s-Stop! It hurts!

She was crying. Stan yelled out, "Stop that now!" The Marauder looked at him with a deep look. He chuckled and asked, "Did I pull a nerve? Armor off now and walk towards me and I'll free her." Stan tensed up and then proceeded to remove his helmet and his armor.

The Marauder dropped Charlie to the floor and told her to leave. With tears in her eyes, Charlie got up and slowly walked out the broken wall of the building. Once she left, the Marauder ran up and punched Stan in the stomach making him cough up blood.

The Marauder: Now you Slayer, will come with me or else your little girlfriend will die.

Stan couldn't risk her getting hurt so he let the Marauder bind him with hell forged steel cuffs then dragging him along. After 10 excruciating minutes of it Stan was brought to a room. The Marauder threw him into it and walked away hearing the sweet sounds of the yelling of pain from him.

He was thrown into the chamber used to corrupt alastor. They were going to turn him against his family and friends. Stan let out some tears and fell to the floor losing consciousness. Since he had Argent energy flowing through him already they took control of his mind. They were going to use him as a weapon to fully take over the world.

Meanwhile Charlie was running away weeping and wiping the tears that fell down her face. It was her fault that he was captured. Without noticing, she ran into the Doot revenant who noticed her sad look instantly. He helped her up and took her to the outpost where they were staying.

At the entrance BJ and Geltahmiin were petting Ravage and talked about how they were gonna do another raid. Doot came flying down with Charlie on his back and as soon as they hit the ground, Charlie ran into BJ's arms crying still.

BJ: What happened? Where's Stanley?

Charlie: *Sniff* The-The-They t-t-t-took him.

Geltahmiin: We need more details.

Charlie Continued to explain what happened and how she got him captured. They could kill him for all she knew. BJ's eyebrows went up in shock. He grew an angry look on his face but not at Charlie, but at the damn dirty demons who took his grandson.

He brought her inside to lay her down to sleep. She still kept letting the tears out thinking of the fact he could be dead. Sooner or later she passed out from crying so much. Everyone else learned about it but had different theories on what could have happened to him.

At the time Charlie woke up, she got an idea to figure out what happened to her green knight. She told Doot to blend in with the other revenants to sneak into the place the Marauder was to go look for him. Doot nodded and flew away. Charlie let out a sad sigh an planted her face into her palms and started to cry again.

30 minutes later...

Doot makes it to the palace and slips past the hell guards. After floating around avoiding contact with any other demons. He looks around for a couple of hours to see Stan but looking different. His eyes were red and had teeth like a demon. Doot said it was him and he was gonna bust him out of there.

Stan smiled and pulled out the crucible. There was a set of armor like the Marauder's near him and put it on. Then he ran towards Doot trying to slice him into bits with it. After a few minutes Doot managed to escape from the palace and flew away.

Doot: D-Did they do it? Did they get him too? Oh no poor Charlie.

He didn't want to tell her the news but had to. The situation was bad. They managed to corrupt Stan and turn him against them. Once he made it back, Doot had to tell BJ to tell Charlie the bad news.

Doot: Excuse me, Mr. Blazkowicz Sir.

BJ: Yes, did you find Stanley?

Doot: Yes, bu-but he was turned. He was brainwashed by them to be turned against us.

BJ: No he-he couldn't have. This is bad. Very bad. What would Charlie think?

Doot: Sir, you will need to tell her the news about him. I don't think I can.

BJ: *Sigh* I guess you're right.

He walked into the room where Charlie was and closed the door behind him. Doot could hear the muffled talking from the other room. He jumped from hearing, "WHAT!? HE WAS WHAT!?" Inside the room Charlie was grinding her teeth with tears flowing from her eyes like water falls.

Charlie: A-are yo-you Serious? D-did he really get turned against us?

She gave BJ one of the saddest looks on the planet breaking his heart to see. BJ frowned and nodded his head as Charlie flipped out. After she finished her tantrum, she walked out of the room and walking towards Geltahmiin.

Charlie: I need to speak with you now.

Geltahmiin: What is it darling?

Charlie: I need you to bring one of your robots and come with me. Stan has been turned against us by the Marauder and the Khan Makyr and it's my fault for not paying attention.

Geltahmiin: Os darling, I hope you know what you're doing.

Charlie: Oh I am. Hopefully I can revert him back to normal.

Geltahmiin: Do you know how you're gonna do it?

Charlie: I'll figure that out as we go.
