I get it

You don't want to be my poetic muse

But what if for a minute

You just let me draw you

Sketch it out as I see it

And write what I'm feeling

Hold you like I mean it

Love 'til I'm drunk on my fears

Of losing you to another who can't write like I write

And draw like I draw

And love like I love

What if you just stay and stare

Let yourself be what makes me write 'til my hand cramps

And love 'til my heart breaks

And sing 'til I go hoarse

Oh just please be my muse

Accept me for all that I'm willing to do to be yours
