It can be small

It can be big

Genuine

Or fake

Very often it isn't real

Only a disguise

That stops you from staring

At me

At my sides

But very so rare

Is it ever actually real

A tear hidden in a smile

Those pearly whites

All a lie

Today it might have been

I'd like to think my smile is fine

White brackets

Blue rubber bands

Uneven and intertwined

Yet somehow

When the feeling comes

Nothing matters anymore

They seem to light up

They seem to belong together

They happen to look straight

My smile seems bright

Even if just one day

Even if just one second

It's true

And it's mine

Even if this smile

Doesn't last a long time
