Not Over It, but Moving Past It
☆Faith☆ (A Series Of Poems)
Won't lie to myself just to claim its all over
Won't lie to the heavens just to one up you
Will probably continue to pursue weeks-long analyses
Will probably think back to your hushed words in my room
Despite all my efforts
Dear boy, I think you'll stay
You may never turn back to take one last look at me
But boy, I'll always be looking your way
And as you continue to drive your tractor
Run over the blossoming fields just to get the job done
Just know I'll be sitting there, watching
Recalling what once was
And one day, if I'm ever so lucky
I'll meet someone and have to tell them about you
How you taught me not to rush into things
That despite your departure and falsities, I do know a thing or two about love
