Golden
☆Faith☆ (A Series Of Poems)
Silence was once the master of madness
It spurred the hurricanes that would pick every item up
All the doubts and insecurities
I came to believe it was all I was
Now silence is the master of reflection
In moments of white noise, I focus on my breaths
I try my hardest not to think of all that has harmed me
Instead, I focus on the rainbows in the aftermath
20 years old, forever growing
Always collecting new "firsts"
Still disappointed when they aren't glowing
Not beholden to my past, but still holding it
Learning so much about myself and my values
Sometimes it takes long to fully absorb
And my mistakes, I don't fight them
I accept all I am and how I am the best example of being human
Could fight all day with imaginary adversaries
Those who take shape after sadness and surface depth
But slowly I'm putting out less punches
It's their loss
Even without them, I am still golden
