Forgot How to Talk

I sit down and listen

My voice remains mute

Silence even while I breathe

It's a typical day on zoom

School life is non-existent

No more chatter in the halls

Instead of school lunch

I cook for myself and my sister

I eat all alone

My eyes gravitate towards the flashing lights of my phone

No notifications

I lost all communication

Even those closest to me can't remember the type of person I used to be

Even on calls I can't share the things that I want to

I think I've finally realized I forgot how to talk
